The delivery was made on time and by two personable and polite young men who were very efficient and respectful for my property. They had taken the covers off the sofas and ensured that they were put back on and that everything was in showroom condition before leaving.
I have to commend the staff at the Wimbledon branch as they gave excellent customer service which isn’t generally found these days. They were extremely helpful and communicative with the ordering process. Thank you!

Design Phase:
During our iterative design phase, which spanned several months as our project evolved, Sorrel at the Wimbledon store was incredibly helpful, creative, and attentive to our brief. We chose to use Neptune for our kitchen and utility rooms. She provided us with numerous choices, options on detail, and design suggestions that were invaluable. We designed double mirror ovens, a quooker hot water tap, integrated fridge freezer, double dish-washers and a triple machine washing area with clothes hanging rail, butler’s additional sink, welly-boot bench and desk area to cope with our family’s needs. All plans were presented in 2D and 3D to help the design process. One small glitch to mention was the difficulty in layering the Neptune DWG files with our architects lighting plans, but this was solved through direct liaison between Sorrel and our architect.
Installation:
Phil coordinated the installation, which seamlessly integrated with our build project, both in time and space. Communication throughout the process was transparent, thorough, timely, and always pleasant. We felt completely supported by the Neptune build team and the back office staff.
Malcolm led the installation, which was divided into two phases, either side of the work-surface templating team provided by a third party chosen by us(Eliott Stoneworks). This ensured efficient, accurate, and a hiccup-free execution. Dan, ably assisted, adding an experienced kitchen-fitter’s eye as an additional opinion on technicalities. At the installation stage, we made minor tweaks to enhance the overall aesthetic and functionality, on Malcolm and Dan’s advice and any surprises were communicated swiftly and solved collegiately and with congeniality.
Phil, Malcolm and Dan really were an exemplary team and one of the best teams we used during our build-project.
Six Weeks After Installation:
The kitchen/utility itself is well built, by traditional methods and has oak details where you would like to see them. There are plenty of shelves and drawer partitions and Malcolm even made us bespoke tray partitions, to help us store our trays upright. After moving in and testing everything, the team returned for a day to Alter and address minor predictable snagging elements. The team rectified them to a high standard.
Overall Experience:
Throughout every stage, the professionalism of the team was faultless. They provided us with a truly pleasurable experience and were brilliant on site. We are reassured by the lifelong promise and flexibility outside the defined criteria of their terms and conditions and are delighted with everything four months on.

First let me say the sales staff were great. The paint colour options were good so we bought 5 litres of Old Rose matt and 2.5 litres of silk for our dining room/kitchen and downstairs toilet. However, the quality was very poor, flaking off at the slightest contact. We ended up doing 3 and 4 coats in certain areas, especially on and around the doors where it comes into contact with hands, with limited success. We even used the silk on parts of the wall where the matt paint was the most affected in an attempt to strengthen the finish. Very disappointing.

Neptune really delivered on my kitchen refurbishment. This was not a large job but it involved all the trades to get it right. I had assumed Neptune would not take on anything but a complete kitchen renovation, but Sorrel at Wimbledon was unfailingly helpful and communicated well throughout the job, including coping with a change of start date due to a family illness. Malcolm and his team of workmen were thorough, professional, arrived on time when they said they would, cleared up well afterwards, all did a great job, and finished on time. Just about the most stress-free experience of work on the house that I have had. Thoroughly recommended.
