Our last box had live worms in it, through the broccoli and other veg. We're Jain by religion and can't consume anything like this even by mistake, so we had to throw the whole box away.

I sent photos by email and on live chat. After waiting over 30 minutes on chat, I was told they don't refund for insects, it's in their FAQs, and that customers enjoy the odd caterpillar or creepy crawly. The manager agreed and the refund was refused.

I understand it's organic and they don't use pesticides. I wasn't asking them to kill anything, just to check the produce properly before packing. Live worms isn't the odd bug, and the no-refund policy was never made clear to me when I ordered.

The response felt dismissive, especially after I explained our religious reasons. I've closed my account. If insects in your food would be a problem for you, I'd think twice.

Only a little annoyed that it was left on my doorstep despite stating that I didn't care what time it was to please ring doorbell...
Too many hungry foxes in my neighbourhood to leave food on the doorstep...

Lovely selection of organic fruit and veg, delivered to my door!! Saves a lot of worry!!

Produce in super condition. Pleased to see purple potatoes are back.
Would like to have coriander with longer stems as these give great flavour to many dishes. Stems freeze fantastically well, I whizz them up in my mini food processor while frozen.
I would like to see finger chillies, these are predominantly used in Asian cooking...

Excellent service, delivery updates, interim reminders etc. The veg is fantastic! Super-tasty and great quality. Love the printed sheets and recipes too. Yes, you pay a little more, but nothing is wasted, and it's a good chance to try a few new things. We like the bread too, plus herbs etc. Not so keen on the eggs - a bit pale and unpredictable sizes. The swap box is a great option, though we're trying other veg/fruit & veg boxes as we go. Excellent range of seasonal organic produce.

I became a customer for the second time a few months ago. I recall cancelling my membership many years ago because I was slightly dissatisfied with some of the quality of the produce.

Unfortunately, my opinion remains the same and though some products are fresh and flavoursome, these are often let down by products (broccoli and carrots) which are delivered looking limp and not particularly fresh. I have to cook the broccoli on the delivery day as it quickly deteriorates.

Such good quality fruit, vegetables and meat.

We’ve had our first Riverford delivery. Absolutely wonderful produce. Fresh, beautiful, smells divine.

The Riverford veggies are good quality-I’ve seldom tasted carrots with so much flavour -the delivery is reliable -friendly delivery man and every contact I have had with the company has been entirely positive

I am relatively new to Riverford Ourganics but I am impressed. Easy to use app, plenty of choice - I particularly like the swap boxes, efficient delivery. The quality and taste of the fruit and vegetables are always good and it lasts well in the fridge. I like it that the service is so flexible and that I can dip in and out of weekly deliveries (we are away quite a bit). I also like the fact that Riverford promote recycling of packaging.

Love the mission and the produce is 10/10! Love that its all organic

It was good to have fresh food on my doorstep, however I would rather not have fruit that is imported.
Cooking apples would be good.

The produce is fantastic. I like the fact that much of the packaging is home compostable or recyclable and that you can return anything that isn’t. For me, it’s important to increase the demand for organic farming, in order to promote soil and pollinator health.

Great delivery and the produce is very fresh and interesting. Makes you want to cook delicious things as too good not too. Price is comparable as high quality.
