We were lucky enough to have Mitch allocated to the job.
Mitch provided excellent customer service and kept us informed the whole way through the job going above and beyond to help us solve the issues with our gas leak and hot water system.
The quality of Mitch’s work was exceptional!!! Prices do reflect the high quality of service and work.

In October 2023 Service Today installed and replaced a bathroom exhaust fan in our bathroom at a cost of $370.
The fan stopped working recently so we contacted Service Today again for a quote to replace the broken fan and install a new fan.
For the first job in 2023 we joined Service Today's "service club" and paid a fee for priority service. An electrician attended and quoted for replacement of the fan. The quote provided was $2,475.00 to remove the broken fan and install a new fan. We queried the reason for the quote being for so high and were told it was because of the "increased scope of work" which as far as we were concerned was the same as the previous fan replacement job. In addition, we were charged $350 for the electrician to provide the quote, he also inspected the electrical wiring and the broken fan. We were told that the wiring was fine but the fan was broken. We did not go ahead with the quote for the replacement fan due to the excessively high amount quoted. The fan itself is a simple exhaust fan - no heat lights or any lighting attached to it. I would not recommend this company.

Even one star is too much they like to prey on elderly people and charge them a fortune would not even recommend them to my worst enemy

Just had a 10 amp switch installed because I have a new oven coming .The new oven has a plug, old oven was wired into house.Paid $1270.00 for one switch.No call out fee as I paid for membership a few years ago

ServiceToday’s electricians were professional, but the company’s pricing practices are deeply concerning. I was charged almost $3,000 for work that took two electricians four hours and used existing wiring. Their explanation was that they use fixed “codes,” meaning even the simplest job is charged at the same inflated rate as a complex one. This resulted in two very different downlight installations being billed identically, and a switchboard upgrade costing far above industry norms.
What alarmed me even more was being offered a refund of the call‑out fee only if I signed a declaration promising not to leave a negative review…………... In the meantime, they refunded the call‑out fee on the basis that the quote proceeded as a job.
No reputable company should ever ask a customer to give up their right to honest feedback.
This pricing model is not transparent, not fair, and not in the customer’s best interest. I am leaving this review to warn others, especially vulnerable customers like pensioners or unemployed people - to be extremely cautious and always compare quotes.
This is a genuine experience, and I have an invoice of ServiceToday to prove it, but I have no chance to download it to Trustpilot platform, but will send it if required,

$709 to replace a leaky shower tap. And it looks like this: vertical placement handles going each way as nil other stock.

Beware they charge an arm and a leg for a simple job.

My aging father called then to look at a safety switch that was tripping. They gave him a verbal quote of $3000 to replace the entire switch board saying his insurance was at risk if he didnt and asked for $600 deposit that he paid. When I asked him to request his deposit back they sent a different electrician that replaced just one safety switch for $605. 2 or 3 x a fair price.

I had to fix the toilet because it was leaking so I called Service Today to come to take a look. They said the whole toilet need to be replaced and said it would cost a overwhelming $1750 to be replaced.
What they did not advised me was that because my toilet bowl was silicon sealed and not concrete sealed, they will not necessarily have to replaced the toilet bowl and can just fixed the plumbing issue inside instead.
So I did not realised and go ahead and had the whole toilet bowl replaced . In which could have been much less expansive if only the plumber would have told me .
So the plumber from Service Today have completely ripped me off in money which I could have saved from expenses for the job that was unnecessary. To be honest I will never use Service Today again in the future because they are very dishonest and the way they ripped you off.

Stay until the end because it gets worse. A technician came to my home, and quoted $832 for a clean, my ac was leaking and he told me there was a blocked drain. He wouldn't do it that day because they refused to take invoices, which was lucky because I found a guy running his own business who did the same clean for $175.

My partner then called them to cancel the clean. It was an off shore call centre. They told him we need to pay a call out fee of $150 (for nothing happening, a guy just looking inside the unit). My partner said no, we won't be doing that, it advertises $0 on your website for call out fee. We haven't signed anything, and $150 is nearly what it cost to get it fixed.

Fast forward to today, I get a call from their head office, not a call centre this time, the lady on the phone is insisting I must pay the call out fee. She was very rude and unprofessional and cutting me off on the phone. I tried to get about 3 sentences out to tell her that a guy came and eyeballed it, that no work was done, that nothing was signed, and that their "call out fee" was what I paid to actually have it fixed. She started rudely saying I was interrupting her, when in reality she just wouldn't let me tell her the full story. I had already warned her at this point if she kept interrupting me I was just going to hang up. So I hang up. But now I have severe anxiety because I'm actually an Autistic person with trauma.

The man who came out here seemed super judgmental and also gave me anxiety. Should have known because when my dog sniffed him (miniature dachshund) she went absolutely ballistic and has never done that. In comparison with the man who actually fixed my aircon, he didn't make small talk, was wonderful, tapped my phone at the end of the service and that was it.

Find a small business, do not hire service today, $832 for a clean is a joke.

Don't use this company, they are overpriced and very dodgy. I complained about how little time the 3 techs were here, and charged $1700 to install 2 power points off existing points. They left a hell of a mess and when I rang them, the tech rang me and threatened to come around..... I lodged a formal complaint was paid hush money - a whole $100, which came with all sorts of conditions not to write a review anywhere. Idiots did not word it correctly, so would be unenforceable at law - NEVER USE THEM

It's a complete scam, they charge an outrageous amount for something that can be done at less than a quarter of the price they give you.

They'll do work that didn't even need to be done and then completely rip you off.

All the positive reviews are either fake or people with money not realizing they're being scammed and ripped off.

Stay away and call a local plumber if you can. Small businesses are usually more trustworthy.

Stay away. Our experience was not good. This is a national company who make individual suburban listings so you think you are getting a local / small business but actually it's just a tiny cog in a very large factory. From quoting literally 4 x higher than other quotes and works we've had done, to paying for "vip" service which amounted to nothing. We did choose some services we wanted done immediately which is why we used them and I would recommend the only reason to use this company and pay the exorbitant prices is if you need immediate works. However, not once did we ever receive so much as an sms to let us know when any service people would be arriving. Sometimes bookings that had been verbally confirmed never went ahead - while we'd taken time off and prepared for arrival - then calling the company only to find they'd rebooked the person in for another job (presumably a subsequently higher paying job). As for works - spent over half an hour cleaning up after plumbers, who used toilets without asking, who at time of leaving we discovered they'd forgotten to do part of the job then told me they can't do it becuase their drill battery was dead. Plumber drilled hole through laundry into bedroom! The only receipt ever given was the thermal printout from the eftpos machine. Now that has to be fixed!!! Stay away.

It appears that this company's policy is to quote extremely high, even predatory pricing, mislead quotes and have aggressive sales tactics with many disputes with consumer affairs. Charged $2800 to replace pressure relief valve on mains and approx 15cm of water pipe. Less than an hours work. Lied about 2 servicemen supposedly there for 2 hours with locator. Fortunately I have a security camera that captured them there for around 20 mins where they changed the pressure relief valve. No investigation done for leak just an assumption that it would take at least 4 hours and need to dig up driveway. Avoid at all costs unless you want to be scammed.

Overpriced, didn’t show me their terms and conditions and refusing a refund. I am now lodging a complaint with Consumer Affairs these guys are scamming bullies

I would never use this company again. They get you in with the set $49 call out fee to work out why our electric gate won't work. The guy was there under 30min and charged $362.77 so a total of $411.77 to find a fault, but not repair.

Charged $553.71 (code 2-154-1067) to isolate ONE faulty front light – 45 mins, zero parts.
Normal Brisbane/Ipswich price 2025: $180–$350.
Offered $200 refund only if I delete this review and sign a gag order. Refused.

Absolute rip off. Replaced 5 Halogen downlights with LED downlights (I provided 4 of the LED downlights). OVER $700. Save your money guys.

The Good the Bad and the extremely very Ugly.
Recently searched for a leaking pipe plumber.
Was directed to Service Today via a call center.
The Good. = A plumber was dispatched very quickly and was on time.
He found our problem very quickly and explained what was required to fix our problem.
The Bad. = A quotation was provided on the spot for a quick repair.
The Ugly. = A new Hot Water service was required.
The plumber suggested that a Continuous Flow unit would be better for our needs and would be cheaper to run.
Suggested that the Continuous Flow system would save on our Gas by using less gas.
As it turns out this was a fabricated lie. Re.ce plumbers advised that the unit is more expensive and uses 4 times more gas.
The first quotation provided was over $4600.
When I got up off the floor, I explained I didn't know where I was going to quickly get that amount, the quote was quickly droped to over $4000, but I would also need an 8 inch copper piper replaced for over $1090. I said we'll have to think about that.
I then rang a local plumber, and he replaced our gas water heater for a total of $1865. Parts and labor.
Buyer beware when engaging Service Today.
Have since been made aware that ACA has featured Service Today under the banner of "Chasing Jason"
In my honest opinion this company is not to be trusted.
