Excellent Customer Service and Quality Luggage

I recently had a minor issue with the Solgaard carry‑on that my daughter originally purchased for me. We reached out to Solgaard’s support team and were connected with Kristine, who was incredibly helpful from start to finish. She guided us through the process, ensured we provided the necessary details, and resolved the issue quickly and efficiently.
Beyond the great customer service, I truly love the luggage itself—well‑designed, durable, and perfect for travel. I highly recommend both the product and the Solgaard team. Their commitment to standing behind their products made the entire experience exceptional.

Don’t waste your money

Don’t waste your money. My compression strap broke on my very first use. It is cheap. Customer service will not help you. It’s been a whole year and they did nothing. You’re better off buying something else. This is a trash company.

I don’t usually leave reviews, so you can take this to the bank: Solgaard is legit. Best customer service, best carryon luggage I’ve ever had (I take a few international and domestic flights per year) and the product is just great. I can’t believe the customer service experience I just had —an airline damaged my outer shell and I’ve been going back and forth with them for months to get a replacement…finally I messaged Solgaard and they replaced it in a snap. Unreal.

Exceptional customer service

I had an issue with my carry on a few years after purchase. I emailed customer service and they responded immediately. I sent them a picture of the issue and with in a day they shipped out a replacement. An absolute pleasure to deal with. Thank you!

Top-Notch Customer Service

I bought the Carry-On Closet Plus (now the Large) back in December 2022 in mustard yellow. It was a limited edition color and I had to have it (I love yellow!)

This was the best piece of luggage I’ve ever had. It was so stylish and its bright color commanded people to look at it. The design features are very thoughtful, from the latch closures to the pass-through USB charging, to the closet storage system. The bag rolled like butter on its smooth wheels.

I didn’t really use the expanding closet feature, as I’m a packing cube guy. But I can see it’s a really good idea for some people.

I never checked my carry-on. I babied this thing, to the point of carrying it by its handle rather than rolling the bag over rough sidewalk. I diligently erased scuffs with a magic eraser.

Last week in Berlin, the unthinkable happened. A gate agent insisted on gate-checking my carry-on. I pleaded, saying that it will get scuffed and scratched. I had to surrender it anyway. When I received my luggage in LA, it was scuffed, but worse, it had a crack in the corner. The bag was ruined to me, and I was devastated.

I wrote to Solgaard customer service to tell them what happened and to ask if they were going to make this bag in yellow again. They offered to replace my bag in another color, free-of-charge. I’m sad I will not have yellow again, but Solgaard’s customer service is top-notch and they make things right for their customers. Because of this, I will be a loyal Solgaard customer, and I’ve already told my friends to buy their products.

The wheels are very poorly made

I was given a carry-on closet suitcase, and it looks very nice but the “shelves“ inside for the closet is a waste of space and I did not use them. I went on one trip and the wheel stems were loosened so much that they kept sticking and would not roll smoothly. I left 10 messages to speak with someone and then tried email and I kept messaging and getting a chat bot. Their customer service is terrible. I finally got a replacement suitcase and I went on one trip and the same thing happened with the wheels. Even though there is a “warranty“ it’s simply not worth it if the wheels are not even durable enough to last one trip. Don’t waste your money.

I had a warranty issue with my Solgaard backpack, and the customer service experience was excellent. The team was responsive, clear, and made the process incredibly easy. I have purchased product from Solgaard…

I have purchased product from Solgaard for over five years now. I purchased all of my children luggage and their families. I have had several issues with suitcases, of which I don't believe was due to Solgaard, but to luggage handles. However, that being said every time I have contacted Solgaard they have been professional and have replace each item. I would never buy luggage from any other company. Thank you for all you have done and for having an outstanding product.

Great product, even better customer support

First of all, the luggage is great. We’ve had our luggage since 2021/2022. I recommend Solgaard to everyone I know and get questions about it at every airport we visit. I’ve seen weirder conversations at airports (lol!).
Secondly, my wife had an issue with the shell cracking and the customer service was quick and easy. I should be receiving the replacement in a few days. It was nice being able to actually speak to someone about the issue and know that it would be resolved quickly. 5/5 from me!

Quick turnaround on customer service

I had a seemingly super simple request on my broken case that Jess and her team quickly made right and has already shipped me a new case in less than 24 hours from my notice.

I love the case in the closet in a carry-on, and now I love their customer service.

Cracked Shell Warranty resolved swiftly!!

I reached out to the company after having had an issue with the outer shell cracking during a trip. The customer service was immediate and outstanding. Armely verified my information and got a new carry on closet plus shipped out to me very fast! Recommending this company for their customer loyalty and standing by their warranty! Will def be using the again for additional travel needs!

Customer service definately stand behind their products

I own 3 pieces of Solgaard luggage, I love it and even though it is well built, sometimes an issue can arise. That’s where Jess comes in! I sent pictures along with a description of the problem and she was quick to respond and get the matter taken care of.

Fulfillment Nightmare, Buyer Beware NOT worth the money

My experience with Solgaard has been nothing short of a nightmare. I ordered two suitcases and received only one and was then required to photograph and prove the discrepancy, despite their own order records confirming the missing item was never shipped.
Solgaard created a second order to fulfill the first, and eventually the correct suitcase arrived, after multiple attempts communicating with this company via the companies chat bot, chatting with Manning, and speaking to a representative on the phone. But a week later, an unsolicited third suitcase showed up at my door. When I called to report it my third call to Solgaard I was told to drop it off at UPS myself.
That is completely unacceptable. I am not responsible for the company's fulfillment errors. I reached out in good faith to report their mistake, and in return I was asked to spend my own time fixing it. This level of service is unacceptable, and I expect immediate resolution with zero burden placed on me as the customer.

A Portrait of Efficiency

I have loved my Solgaard luggage since purchasing in 2023. On a recent international trip, it received unusual abuse and sustained damage to a latch. Redenthur of The Solgaardian Squad (cool names by the way), provided efficient and timely help in accessing the damage and providing a replacement. Thank you! A superior product fer sure.

Lifelong Solgaard customer!

Recently my family went on a trip to Hawaii and we had to check our carry ons. Unfortunately two of our luggages had cracked shells as result of being checked in. I emailed Solgaard and they immediately agreed to replace them. They got back to me sooner than the airline! I worked with Armely and they were able to get my replacements shipped out before my upcoming trip. We will always purchase our luggage from Solgaard because they stand by their products and their customer service is top level! Thank you Armely and the Solgaard team!

Responsive!

Solgaard Customer service is the more responsive than most other companies. They are quick, they do everything possible to honor your request and make it right. It a great product/ idea and therefore I’m sticking with Solgaard for my travel needs.

Solgaard stands behind their product

Solgaard stands behind their product, a very sound product at that. I have purchased 7 various products either for myself or gifts for friends. One of the gifts, a large suitcase, was damaged during a trip to Australia - clasp broken and damages around the seam. I was assisted by Jess who was thorough and helpful. I had to coordinate the information between my records and my friend’s data. Together, with Jess, we were able to provide the information and a replacement was ordered. Wow, customer service at a rapid speed with respect. Thank you, Jess!
