Customers outside India BEWARE! They will not refund you for cancelled flights
My flight was cancelled and no alternative was available for the dates I needed. I am a UK customer, and booked flights for me and my husband on Spicejet's website. I have been completely unable to receive a refund, despite Spicejet saying they would refund me. I have over 45 emails now, trying to get my money back. Do not book with Spicejet if you are outside India. If anything goes wrong, you will be unable to get your money back from them.

Worst ever flight, should avoid at all cost
I traveled on Spicejet flight no SG15 on AMD/DXB Route, and both my checked-in luggage bags have been damaged by their handling staff, we have got the damage report also from Dubai Airport, and made an official complaint to Spicejet via email.
They did promise us a refund of only INR 2,000/- (2 bags' combined value was around INR 16,000/- and both bags were brand new and purchased from Dubai), they asked us to submit the Bank Details so they can process the Refund, which we already did, but to date, we have not received anything.
As of today, in June 2023, it's almost 6 months, after giving repeated reminders on the refund that they have promised, but to date we have not received anything, and now they are not even replying to email.
And this is not the first time that we have received damaged baggage from SpiceJet, it has happened earlier as well, but that time I was new in Dubai, and not much aware of how we can claim the damage, so didn't make any complaints.

Morning flights delayed till evening
We booked our flight from Delhi to Pune and was supposed to fly off yesterday in the morning but got delayed till evening. Some friends were coming the next day (today) and the same drama unfolding even now.
We have now been told that this is a regular occurrence with Spicejet and no one seems to be doing something about it. A delay of more than 3-4 hrs is not and should not be acceptable.

Booked a spicejet from port blair to chennai
Booked a spicejet from port blair to Chennai on 6th May. After check-in was done and making us wait for 2 hours, flight was cancelled with a reason of operational issue. This cancellation happened after the flight was delayed 3 times.
Spicejet is so horrible that they couldn’t arrange us another flight or consider rebooking our connecting flights. I had my another flight booked from Chennai to Bangalore on the same day which I had to cancel without any refund and spicejet just said "Sorry". This is just an example. There was 186 passengers stranded at the airport with many folks who had to cancel connecting flights. Though spicejet gave accomodation which I never wanted this was a horrible and Insensitive experience I had with spicejet. NEVER EVER I AM GOING TO BOOK SPICEJET IN MY LIFE AGAIN. AND I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND ANYONE ELSE DOING EITHER

I was to use credit shell while making making which was not retrieving. So I took help of spicejet c.s to book ticket and retrieve credit shell. He did but booked wrong ticket, regular saver instead of flexi saver. I asked if its flexi and I can change date without fee, he told yes one time I can. On complaining, the c.s reviewed recording and said you told only flexi and not flexi saver. This is not the right way to deal with customers. What does then flexi mean? Over the years (I'm 66) I have travelled to many countries on many different airlines but never have I had such a terrible experience as I had with spice jet. I made a mistake with dates and contacted the airline within 24 hrs to rearrange the flight as it says in their terms and conditions to avoid charges.Not only were the staff unhelpful, it would appear there was difficulty in conversing, I couldn't understand the operative, even after an hour. A friend was listening to the conversation and he was as confused as i was. She clearly didn't want me to speak to a supervisor saying she will only tell you what I am telling you, really? She was right the supervisor wasn't in the least bit interested in what I had to say and as a result not only did I loose the flight but I also ended 3000rps worse off (fees etc). When i asked them to send me a copy of the refund I was told to contact travel agent, I booked direct on their terrible un user friendly Web site. Terrible service would never recommend.

These guys are a bunch of scammers, I booked a return flight with family (PNR P4SCNB ), which Spicejet cancelled.
I've been chasing them for months and still haven't received a single penny as a refund.
Waiting a refund 35 days later
I booked my flight through the SpiceJet website and the funds were deducted, but the booking was not confirmed. I immediately emailed them the problem and received no response. I had to then call them and told me to send an email and to rebook another flight. I had no choice but to rebook at a higher cost and pay again.
It has been 45 days and I'm still waiting for the refund on the amount that was deducted from the original booking. Terrible terrible customer service.
Never book with this airline
I have booked end of last year and beginning of this year 4 domestic flights. All 4 flights have been cancelled after some weeks or rescheduled for more than 12 hrs, One flight was rescheduledc for 1,5 days, and they have not even informed me. Just by luck I have checked on the webpage and have found that they have- under the same PNR- rescheduled the flight by 1,5 days. I have even not been informed abt this major change, and was then not able to change it on their webpage.I still have not received the money for all those flights, and this after weeks. This is a no go.

Do not book through this company, it is a scam. I paid £750 for 5 tickets from Mumbai to Goa. They took the money out of my bank account but when I got to the airport, they said the tickets had not been issued. It has been 2 months, multiple emails and phonecalls but they have not returned my money. You are paying money for nothing.

Je devais voyager avec Spice Jet en avril 2020. Mon voyage fut annulé à cause du covid. Depuis j'attends encore et toujours le remboursement de mon vol. Régulièrement j'envoie un mail pour demander ou en est mon dossier, et j'ai toujours la même réponse, qu'ils sont désolés, qu'ils font passer mon dossier en priorité blablabla. Je leur ai même demandé qu'ils ne disent carrément que j'ai perdu mon argent plutôt que de continuer à me prendre pour une bourique.
Bref cette compagnie est à fuir !!

I spent 4 months talking to spicejet, but they didn’t do anything.
At the same time I raised transaction cancellation via my bank support. They made some another request to visa and after a few months bank returned me the money spicejet took. I don’t know how it worked out for me, but my advice to you is to raise the request via your bank, spicejet is just scam who steals money
Non-working email for compensation and accommodation
4 tickets booked in Spicejet. 1 was delayed and 3 were revised by Spicejet.
They don't give compensation, they don't give accommodation. One was revised by 22.5 hours. One was delayed by 6 hours. They don't care about giving anything in compensation or accommodation. The email they give to write your problem is a non-working email that gives you an automated response and nothing more than that.
I haven't come across a worse service than the one offered by SpiceJet. SpiceJet really needs to start managing its check-in counters better. The staff at the airport just shrugged, showing zero sympa

I’m travelling from several months and 40 days ago I arrived in India. After one month on mainland and the last week spent on Andamans Islands,I had a flight from Port Blair to Kolkata and a connection flight from Kolkata to Bangkok.
Once arrived in Port Blair Airport, the employees told me that, not having an immigration office there, I had to take my backpack in Kolkata and check-in again.
Fine.
Arrived in Kolkata and collected my bag at 13.45, I move to SpiceJet desk for the Check-in the flight for Bangkok (SG43) scheduled for h15.45
After a long wait in queue, the guy at the desk communicate me that if I would enter in Thailand, I should need to have and show them the Hotel reservation, Health insurance statement and a confirmed flight out of Thailand in one month.
I was pretty sure that having an Italian Passport, I didn’t need a VISA for Thailand (up to 45 days) and I tried to explain this to the desk-employee.
His answer was just:
‘even for Italians is mandatory!’
I asked him several times if he was sure, but he was inamovable.
So I said ‘ok let’s check-me in and if I’ll need, I’ll buy a flight ticket at the Visa-office in Bangkok’
No way, the clerk didn’t want to let me get the flight without the required documents.
At 14.45, with the plane leaving soon, I found my self in the senseless situation to buy an useless flight from Bangkok to Vientiane (that I would never use as I will continue my travel by land to Laos and then to Vietnam) just in order to take my plane for Bangkok!
A few hours ago I arrived in Suvarnabhumi Airport and at the Passport control gate, the girl simply told me ‘No Sir, you don’t need anything. As per Italians citizens, you’ve 45-days visa free’ …
After lot of emails, they cotinuento apologize for the delay of the flight….. no refund, no communication from management even in Cc. embarrassing non-management of the problem and indeed, general ignorance, beyond stupidity
