We had an amazing experience in Tibet from 1–8 Mar thanks to our guide, Gelek. He is incredibly knowledgeable and could answer all our questions - from history and nature to local culture - with depth and clarity.

Beyond that, he was genuinely friendly and attentive, always looking out for the group and even helping individual travellers and group travellers like us take great photos along the way. He also gave recommendations on things to do throughout the trip. We opted for the 5-star hotel, but felt that Intercontinental Hotel was a little far out. Gelek assisted and coordinated well with the office to accommodate us an an alternative hotel, and shared what we could do around the new area. Administratively, he was also well prepared with all the documentations needed for checks along the journey.

What stood out most was his care and professionalism. When I felt unwell due to altitude sickness, he went the extra mile to check on me and offer help whenever needed.

Truly the best guide in Lhasa and Tibet. Highly recommend Gelek to anyone visiting!

We especially want to highlight our guide Sonam, who was with us during our first two days in Lhasa. He was absolutely fantastic. He knows so much, explains everything in a very thorough and engaging way, speaks excellent English, and has a great sense of humor. He made those first days not only informative but genuinely enjoyable, just a great person to be around and the perfect introduction to Tibet.

Our second guide, Kiki, was also wonderful, very kind, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to spend time with. All the drivers we met were professional and friendly as well.

We loved Tibet so much that we will definitely return in the future, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again with Tibet Vista Travel.

Panchenjap very good tour guide to explain the history of the tourist spot

It was a wonderful experience arranged by Tibet Vista. Trip was made customizable to meet our interests. Tour Guide Kelsang was very helpful and paid attention to details. He puts clients first and thinks ahead to make the trip as comfortable as possible despite of uncontrollable factors such as traffic jams and weather conditions. We are satisfied with the experience and thankful for Kelsang’s service!

My husband and I did a 10-day customised private Tibet tour with Tibet Vista. As I was afraid of altitude sickness, Sara arranged for us to start from Nyingchi 3100m to acclimatize well before going to Lhasa 3650m and to Namtso 4200m. We covered Nyingchi, Lulang, Ranwu, Midui Glacier, Lhasa and Namtso lake. We also saw the beautiful wild peach flowers at Bome, and the Hidden Mountain resort in Bome left an unforgettable postcard view.I requested for a guide with good photography skills and Sara recommended our guide Sonam and driver Liu Kang who has a new 2026 9-seater vehicle with oxygen tank. We were very pleased with driver Liu who values safety above all, and is obsessed with cleanliness of his vehicle. During our trip we had snowy, rainy and sunny days consecutively and really unpredictable.
G318 is a difficult route with many trucks.
Driver Liu was able to maneuver very well the difficult weather conditions on the road with safety as priority. Route 318 is a must do route in your lifetime, a beautiful route with nice mountain ranges. Liu and Sonam made such a perfect pair, collaborated well, always punctual, polite, neat, caring and were always funny along the journey sharing jokes and family stories making the long drives enjoyable. We had great fun, had lunch and sometimes dinner together just like friends. Sonam is a very experienced guide and his English is very good both spoken and written. He is always very positive and cheerful and laughs heartily. He is Tibetan and shared with us readily Tibetan culture and religious practices. He also brought us to yummy and hygienic places for lunch. His photography and videography skills are remarkable. He took so many beautiful photos of us and also made many nice videos for us. He also knows when and where to take nice photos. Example: at the Sera Monastery, he told us exactly where to stand and wait for the monks to enter the yard for the debate and which angle to take a nice video of the monks. He always suggests nice angle to photograph flowers, mountains, monastery and monks. Sonam encouraged us to walk slowly up Midui glacier and Potala palace, he was always reminding us to take our time to walk, take rest, take photographs and enjoy the scenes, not to rush to ensure safety since air is thin in the highlands. He also provided us directions and tips to walk around Lhasa old town and Muslim square. Tibet has always been on our bucket list but we were afraid to come due to altitude sickness. Starting from Nyingchi and having the care and encouragement from Sonam and Driver Liu, we acclimatised very well, we did not have to use oxygen during our trip. We enjoyed very much this trip and the friendship with Sonam and Liu. Thanks to Sara, Sonam and Liu for making our Tibet trip seamless.
Although we did not plan to go to EBC and Shigaste this time, we may come another time! We left Tibet with such great memories and tons of photos and videos!

​We recently completed a 14-day tour of Tibet, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. Communication leading up to the trip was clear regarding all requirements and permits, which made the preparation seamless.
​Our itinerary was well-designed, covering iconic landmarks like Potala Palace, Basumtso Lake, and Everest Base Camp. A major highlight was our time in Pomi, where we stayed in a traditional Tibetan house. The hospitality was wonderful, and being served authentic traditional food made for a truly immersive and "cool" experience.
​Our guide, Qingmei, was incredibly experienced and knowledgeable about Tibetan history. He was especially helpful in assisting us with the high-altitude adjustment and had a great eye for finding the best photography spots at every landmark.
​We did encounter a small issue when our original vehicle broke down, but the team was highly responsive. They arranged for a replacement car to meet us directly at our stay, ensuring our schedule remained on track. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a professional and authentic Tibetan journey.

The tour was very well planned, and we’re made comfortable throughout the trip. Our tour guide, Jingmei also gave us the best service and real local Tibetan culture experience. Food was never disappointing. Overall this 13 days tour was great! Very recommended~

It was an unforgettable six days of my life. The trip started even before I left. I was anxious to pick up my permit, but the staff at the travel agency answered my questions right away. I was able to pick it up safely at the hotel. It was also nice to join the group chat and be able to contact them before I left Japan. Everything was very well run, pick up and drop off at the airport and everything. The best part was our guide, Tin Tin. He was unique, warm, and historically knowledgeable, and I listened to his guide the entire time. The tour included a visit to the Potala Palace and other wonderful temples. This is something you can never experience unless you go.

We had various cultural experiences under the organization of mr. kunga.
We did meditation, made a traditional selection, and experienced Tibetan calligraphy.
Although a travel agency arranges all of our trips to Tibet, each one was so impressive and memorable that it would never have been possible for us to have experienced it on our own. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Amazing Trip. Our Guide Dickey and our driver Jampa took care of us all the time and were all the time friendly. 10 out of 10.

I initially booked through a different tour agency but was combined with Tibet vista services. I will say the agency I booked through was somewhat responsive but there were issues with my train station pickup. The driver I had also got into a minor car accident.

Having said that, my driver (Jampa) and guide (Dickey) were great. Dickey was a great tour guide and a perfect match for our group. She was communicative and well versed in the monasteries we went to. She was also flexible with our schedule and made sure all any issues or queries were solved. I would hesitate to have Dickey as my guide and Jampa as my driver again.

I was really satisfied with my 7 day long Tibet tour going from Lhasa, via the Everest Base Camp to Kathmandu. The nature is stunning and unique. As is the local culture, as was presented to us by our excellent guide Ga Rong. Tibet has a long and complicated history, which was explained by our extremely knowledgable and intelligent guide.

We were happy with all services provided by Tibet Vista including transportation, the itinerary, our hotels and most of all our guide, Ga Rong.
