This was a great and smooth tour of Tibet! We could not be happier with both our guide Ga Rong and our busdriver. Ga Rong had very good information and insight in Tibet and its rich history. Ga Rong was also very funny, charming, caring and professional. He ensured that everything went smooth by actively helping us in restuarants when there was a language barrier and when food was a bit slow. Ga Rong even helped us reach Mount Everest base camp two times because the first time was cloudy. Overral very happy with this trip and with our guide Ga Rong, our busdriver was also very funny and kind even tho we did not speak the same language :)

I recently traveled to Tibet as a solo foreign traveler, and I’m really glad I chose this agency for my trip. Visiting Tibet can feel complicated because of permits, transportation, altitude concerns, and local rules — but they handled everything smoothly, which made the whole experience much less stressful. During the trip, the itinerary was well organized but not rushed. We visited major cultural and historical sites like monasteries and scenic spots, and I had enough time to actually experience the places instead of just taking quick photos and leaving. The views were incredible, but what made it special was learning about Tibetan culture, religion, and daily life.

The guide was one of the highlights. She (Dickey) 😆 was knowledgeable, spoke clearly, and always made sure everyone was okay — especially with the altitude. They often reminded us to move slowly, drink water, and rest when needed. I felt safe and taken care of the whole time.

The driver was also very professional. Roads in Tibet can be long and high-altitude, but the driving felt steady and secure.
Overall, this trip became one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. The landscapes were beyond words, but having a reliable agency made it possible to enjoy everything without worrying about logistics.

I would recommend this agency, especially for foreign travelers visiting Tibet for the first time.

An amazing experience, something to be remembered for eternity. The Everest experience was the pinnacle of the trip, but strongly backing it up was the whole in depth cultural and historical immersion that we experienced. Pasang, the extremely knowledgeable guide steered us through everything, the Buddhist history and experience, the Tibetan way of life and culture and the culinary journey. We took the six day centralTibet cultural tour and it was a huge success. Well organised and a very nice small group. The monasteries are truly fascinating and preserve old Tibetan values. The people and the colours were all fascinating. The people are so friendly and outgoing. The monasteries and traditional buildings have the original colours preserved and it is a visual feast.

Accommodation and food were excellent. We’re taken to real Tibetan restaurants and sampled Tibetan food and drink.

Great opportunities for tourism but also real detail to preserving the unique heritage of Tibet.
Our guide for the trip, Tsedon, was a marvel of knowledge, helpfulness and patience. She has endless energy and a real interest in her work. We really could not have asked for more.
One caveat,

Do not go to the Hilton in Shigatse. I have stayed in many Hilton hotels but this one lets the side down. Poor by any standards but particularly bad when judged by Hilton standards.

That, is outside the control of Tibet Vista and I would not take away from my praise for the excellent and enjoyable trip.

I just wrapped up the two day tour of Lhasa. It’s part of a larger trip for me, so two days was a good amount of time to hit the highlights. And we really packed in a lot over two days. Tibet Vista came recommended online so I reached out. Everything went pretty smoothly, as much as can be expected. I’d recommend getting the number of the guide meeting you at the airport and downloading WeChat ahead of time to coordinate, it took me about 20 minutes to find him once I arrived and got my bag. That was really the only minor hiccup. But through the process, they were patient and pretty responsive when I had questions (the process is a lot- getting a Chinese visa and then getting a Tibet permit), but it all came together last minute before I left the States and they got my tour sorted.

Two shoutouts: Gelek was my guide and he was amazing. He knew absolutely everything. Hands down the most knowledgeable guide I’ve ever had on any trip. I am only going to be able to remember 25% of what he told me, but I enjoyed hearing it. His English is really good and he is fun to hang out with, request him if you can.

Grace helped me with all of the paperwork and getting it planned. She was patient even though I was really slow to get started and she went above and beyond to make sure the physical copy was at my hotel the night before I flew into Lhasa.

Overall I highly recommend Tibet Vista. They have good connections for food and hotel, the whole experience was smooth and visiting Tibet was special!

Everything from start till end was smooth sailing! Kiki ensured that safety and comfort was always a priority. Even going out of her way to get food for us. Shared a lot of experience and knowledge of Tibet and the historical significance. Aloe ensured that we got to all points safely. He navigated professionally and was on time for all :)

My tour was an excellent and truly memorable experience, especially considering the very spontaneous planning. Everything was organised quickly and efficiently by Ami — thanks to her for accommodating all my wishes, carefully shaping the schedule, and making sure everything ran flawlessly. Very impressive.

Special thanks to Phurbu, my tour guide, who was calm, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions during the tour thoroughly, and to Tashi, the driver, whose smooth and safe driving made solo traveling feel easy and comfortable. Their positive spirit truly lightened up the entire experience. I recently returned from a splendid journey with Tibet Vista Travel, and the experience was nothing short of unforgettable. A huge part of what made this trip so exceptional was our guide, Ga Rong. His deep knowledge of Tibetan history, religion, and culture brought every site to life, and his sincerity and warmth made us feel both welcomed and well cared for. He checked in with us constantly to ensure we were adapting well to the high altitude, and his genuine concern made a big difference throughout the journey.

This wasn’t just a trip filled with scenic photo stops—it was an immersive cultural experience. We stepped into ancient temples, witnessed the daily lives of monks, observed how they pray, and even watched their lively debate sessions. These moments offered us a rare glimpse into the heartbeat of Tibetan spirituality.

There was plenty of fun and adventure, too! From riding on a yak, to getting up close with majestic Tibetan mastiffs, Tibetan calligraphy and flag printing, every activity added to the richness of the journey. The landscapes were absolutely breathtaking—Namtso Lake and Yamdrok Lake were stunning, their turquoise waters framed by fresh mountain air and sweeping horizons.

Overall, this trip was meaningful, exciting, and truly eye-opening. Thanks to Tibet Vista Travel and especially Ga Rong, I came home with not just beautiful photos, but lasting memories and a deeper appreciation for Tibetan culture. Highly recommended!

I contacted this agency to obtain the necessary permits for a trip to Lhasa that my friends and I were planning ourselves. We were very clear from the beginning: we only needed the permits and would handle our own flights, hotels, and excursions once we arrived.

Despite our explicit instructions, they sent us a detailed itinerary full of expensive excursions and treks that we did not request. When we asked for a revised quote that only included the permits, we were shocked to learn the price was the same: a staggering $1,200 for two people.

They essentially expected us to pay $1,200 for the privilege of walking around the city on our own, without any of the included tours. This is a deceptive and unfair pricing model. I strongly advise other independent travellers to steer clear of this company to avoid being scammed.

Awesome trip through Tibet guided by Wan Qing. Great experience exploring the temples in Lhasa and Shigatse culminating in a great night sleeping at Everest base camp with incredible views. Good hotel and transportation too

We went on the 10 days tour with Tibet Vista on 1st November. It was a comprehensive itinerary that covered a lot on the attractions of Tibet, including historical and cultural sites, and magnificent scenery. It was planned well enough to help us acclimatise with the altitude.

I would like to specially commend our guide Ga Rong, who was very knowledgeable in Tibetan culture and Buddhism. He was also caring and hardworking and made sure we were fine and our needs were met everyday.

As we were in a group that had different language requirements, our guide Ga Rong patiently explained in both English and Mandarin, and was happy to answer any questions that came up later.

It is easy to underestimate the amount of skills needed to be a guide for a trp like the Lhasa, Qumolangma (everest) and Mount Kailash trek. Sonam Tempal used his many skills to help us make the most of this incredible opportunity.



I undertook this trip in October 2025 with Sonam Tempal as the guide for the group. Sonam was very knowledgeable about Tibeten culture and religious practices and shared with the group freely and honestly. He always had a smile and remained cheerful throughout and was happy to help us with a range of demands that we kept throwing at him. Being an older and less fit man I wondered whether the trek would be too much for me. Thanks to Sonam's advice and gentle guidance I was mistaken and I undertook the full Kora which was my main reason for going. The way he looked after me was impeccable, with patience, affection and good humour. I am immensely grateful for the way he helped deal with altitude sickness and supported me with advice and guidance to get me through the Mount Kailash Trek. I enjoyed being up on the mountain so much I didn't want to come down and I savoured every minute. Die Tour bietet einen wunderbaren Eindruck in die Kultur und Landschaft Tibets. Sie war von Peking bis Kathmandu perfekt durchorganisiert. Wir wurden während der Vorbereitungszeit sofort über Herausforderungen bzgl. Brückeneinsturz und politischen Unruhen in Nepal informiert. Die Organisatorin Kristin beruhigte uns und bot für den Worst Case geeignete Alternativen an. Unser Reiseleiter Doorjee hat sich rührend um eine Mitreisende mit Höhenkrankheit und hohem Blutdruck gekümmert. Unsere Privattour wurde auf unsere Ansprüche abgestimmt und wir haben uns nie zeitlich unter Druck gefühlt. Unser Fahrer Norbu hat uns während der gesamten Fahrt trotz teils erschwerter Bedingungen ein sehr sicheres Gefühl gegeben, so dass wir unseren Roadtrip nahezu sorglos geniessen konnten. Regelmässig versorgte er uns mit köstlichem Ingwer Zitronen Tee. Die Höhenlage stellt eine echte Herausforderung dar und sollte nicht unterschätzt werden. Insgesamt ein unvergessliches Erlebnis, das wir unbedingt weiterempfehlen möchten.

I booked a private tour for me and my mother to see Lhasa, Yamdrok Lake, Karola Glacier, Gyantse, Shigatse. While expensive, the private tour option wasnt much more expensive than a group tour, and gave us freedom to design our own itinerary and pick out specific spots to see, and allowed me to choose my own hotels.

My guide Dickey went out of her way to get us special photo permissions in monasteries by asking monks directly. She was also able to secure a blessed piece of cloth at Jokhang Temple for me even though the monk technically was already done giving out blessings, but made an exception for her. We made our driver Pandey shuttle us all around the region, but he always smiled and never once seemed annoyed.

Overall i was impressed with the trip.
