I had an amazing time with the trip with Tibet Vista. The program was well-designed. Our guide, Dickey, was cheerful, friendly, and informative. The bus was spacious. Our driver, Dadhun, was very helpful, nice, and calm. His driving was smooth and safe. Overall, it was a pleasant trip.

Tibet​ is​ one​ of​ my​ dream​ destination.​ Itisafascinatinglandwithrichcultureand beautiful landscape. My​ tour​guide​ is​ Dickey​ and​ the​ driver​ ​is​ Dadhun.They both work​ together very​ well.​ Dickey​ has alot of​ information about the​ Monastry​ and​she gave good​ explaination.​Her english is​ good​can communicatewell. The​ driver​ very​polite and​ punctual. He not drive too fast or​ too​ slow.​ I​ feel save.

The experience was great for the following reasons:
1. The tour included many places of interest, such as Buddhist monasteries/temples, viewpoints, and Mount Everest.
2. The tour guide, Dickey, and driver, Dadhun, were friendly, professional, and well-organised. Dickey was especially helpful, answering messages late into the night and solving problems effectively.
3. The final dinner was excellent!

The experience was not great for the following reasons:
1. Some of the restaurants (not included in the tour) were a little expensive, and the food was subpar.
2. The welcome dinner was also a letdown, with limited food options.

I spent months back and forth organising a long private trip, got a final quote, paid $200 deposit, and then when they requested the final payment had increased the price by more than $1,000. This shot the price up into one of the most expensive companies quoted, they argued that this was my mistake, despite a clear email chain - and then refused to refund my deposit - despite the fact they had broken their part of the contract by changing the price. Really bad practice!!!

Fantastic trip to Tibet. had to change plans midway as the inner kora at Kailash was closed. Mr. Kungamet us in person and assured us regarding the arrangements. Next morning I had confirmation regarding new hotel reservations, updated travel plans. Our guide Kiki was wonderful. She was always available to us and made sure we were safe and comfortable. Nawang our driver was a great team player with kiki. The two of them also arranged a birthday surprise for me along with my wife

I first heard about Tibet Vista through a casual yet passionate recommendation from an American couple I met while traveling in Asia. They spoke so highly of their experience that it immediately caught my attention. I had always dreamed of visiting Tibet — this mystical land on the rooftop of the world — and when I realized there was a trusted agency that could help make it happen, I was sold.

From the moment I started planning the trip, I felt a deep sense of excitement and anticipation. For years, I had been fascinated by Tibetan culture, its spiritual depth, and the vastness of its landscapes. I’m also a big fan of the movie Seven Years in Tibet, so you could say I already had a cinematic connection to the place. But planning this journey was different — it wasn’t just a dream anymore; it was becoming real.

I chose the 7-day overland tour from Lhasa to Kathmandu because it offered something unique: not only would I experience the heart of Tibet, but I’d also cross into Nepal by land — two extraordinary countries in one unforgettable journey. The itinerary also included one of the ultimate highlights for me: Mount Everest Base Camp. How could I possibly resist?

From the first day, I felt that things were well-organized. The team at Tibet Vista was responsive, professional, and always ready to help — which really made a difference considering the logistics and permits required to travel in Tibet. Everything felt safe and smooth, and that allowed me to focus on what mattered most: fully immersing myself in the experience.

Traveling through Tibet felt like moving through a living, breathing painting. The peace that surrounded every town and village, the deep spirituality present in the monasteries, and the humble, kind people — it all made a deep impression on me. The landscapes were like nothing I had ever seen before: vast plateaus, prayer flags fluttering in the wind, turquoise lakes, and endless mountain ranges.

The biggest challenge, without a doubt, was the altitude. Coming from a lowland country, I had never experienced anything like it. While the first few days in Lhasa were manageable, the real test came when we reached Everest Base Camp. The thin air at over 5,000 meters above sea level made everything more difficult: walking, sleeping, even thinking clearly. But despite the physical strain, standing there — face to face with the world’s highest peak — was worth every breathless step. It's a moment I’ll never forget.

What surprised me most about Tibet wasn’t just its breathtaking nature or rich culture — it was the attitude of the people. Everywhere I went, I was welcomed with smiles, humility, and an incredible level of respect and politeness. There’s a quiet strength in Tibetan people, something serene and genuine that left a lasting impression on me. Their way of life, so deeply rooted in compassion and spirituality, made me reflect on my own values and pace of life.

Without hesitation, I know I will return. One week was not enough — not even close. There’s so much more to explore: different regions, more in-depth encounters with local communities, longer hikes in the mountains. Tibet has a magnetic pull, and now that I’ve had a taste of it, I can’t wait to go back.

To anyone reading this and thinking about going: do it. Don’t let doubts or fears about altitude, permits, or remoteness stop you. It’s absolutely worth it. Of course, be prepared — acclimatize properly, drink plenty of water, and take it slow — but don’t be afraid. The reward is immense.

If I could offer one final piece of advice, it would be this: travel to Tibet with an open mind and an open heart. Forget about rushing, forget about Wi-Fi, and forget about modern distractions. Let the silence of the mountains speak to you. Let the colors of the monasteries and the chants of the monks awaken something within you. Tibet is not just a destination — it's an experience that transforms you.

My 8 Day Tibet Tour with Travel Vista was amazing.

My guide, Lhakdon, went above and beyond to make this a great experience. From bringing coffee for us on the long bus rides to finding me medicine for my cold, I always felt safe and cared for. She, of course, also provided detailed insights into the local monasteries and answered any question about local life, culture and Tibetan Buddhism.

Another highlight of my trip was the culture workshop Tibet Vista organized. Following the instructions of the master we participated in different activities, including printing our very own Tibetan prayer flags, which we then hung at the highest point of our journey for good luck.

I highly recommend this trip if you are looking for a balance of nature and culture and want to gain more insight into Tibetan life.

We’ve just finished the tour with Tibet Vista and from the beginning, the communication with the travel agent was excellent and response time was quick. During the tour, our guide Gelek and the driver was very accommodating and always on time. Service was good and the tour guide is very knowledgeable. Overall the experience was great and all 4 of us enjoyed this trip very much.

Atravessar os Himalaias, foi a oportunidade de conhecer o Tibete e a sua cultura. A beleza da paisagem soma-se aos sorrisos das pessoas, às cores impressionantes dos mosteiros budistas. Tive tempo de ver, pensar, sentir.

I joined in halfway through the 15 day Mt Kailash trip. It was a group of five people which made it more intimate and made it easier to integrate into the group. The journey from Everest Base Camp to Mt Kailash was long but the Dashi (the driver) was incredibly safe on the road which made the journey as comfortable as a ten hour drive can be. Dicky (the guide) was conscious of our needs and checked in on those feeling unwell from the altitude. All the restaurants along the way were authentically Tibetan and welcomed us. Dicky ensured to manage our expectations of some of the facilities along the way, particularly the toilets. She ensured we were informed of our itinerary the day before and helped with any other requests. The hike itself was a hard one. I was able to complete it with one other member of the group and Dicky supported members of our group that were not feeling well. She was very conscious of our health and ensuring we all stay safe. Throughout the trek, Dicky called and checked in with us. The views at the top were beautiful and having the opportunity to complete the pilgrimage with local people was a once and a lifetime opportunity. I had a great time and knew I was well looked after the whole time.

Lhakdon is my tour guide and Lee 师父 is my driver. Lhakdon is very friendly and helpful, very attentive to requests and issues. She is knowledgeable, shared with me lots of history about the monastery and culture.

Driver Lee was very friendly too. Keep reminding us not to forget to take things if it's important. And most importantly, drove us around tibet and back safely. Nice ride!

Tibet had long been on my bucket list, and this 15-day tour with Tibet Vista exceeded every expectation. i contacted almost a dozen of Tibetan, Chinese and even Nepalese tour operators over the past year, and I am glad I have chosen this one. in my view, the trip was thoughtfully designed to take to the best sights and scenery around beautiful Tibet, as well as well-paced that allowed smooth acclimatization. to my surprise, accommodations and meals were excellent throughout the trip: we get to stay in the best hotels in each town. Kudos to Tibet Vista for that too!

What truly set the experience apart was our guide, Dorjee and the driver Tchimpu, two people I came to associate tibetan hospitality, character, n culture with.
Beyond his deep knowledge of Tibetan geography, history, and Buddhist philosophy, Dorjee stood out for his genuine kindness, patience, and quiet attentiveness. During the 3-day Kora, he struck the perfect balance—respecting our personal space while always being present to help. As a solo female traveler, I especially appreciated his care, including offering to carry part of my load on the toughest trek day—something I was deeply grateful for. Tchimpu, our driver, kept the bus clean, always helped us with suitcases, and his lighthearted, warm sense of humor made long drives fun :)

The pre-trip communication with Gigi, the travel agent in Chengdu, was also seamless—efficient, helpful, and responsive at every stage. at some point, i suspected she could be an AI bot ^_*, she was that efficient :)

I’m already planning my next trip to Tibet—with Tibet Vista and hopefully with Dorjee as my guide again.

Kailash and Manosaravar trip was a life changing experience for me. Our tour guide Lhakdon was a true leader in terms of everything i e. right from giving the proper guidance, advice, prearrangements and preemptive leads. She stood by for everything for me For example, when I felt the high altitude sickness at EBC, she immediately came to rescue by helping me with oxygen cylinder. Also, resolved all issues in arranging a single occupancy room that I was entitled for. After crossing the Dom La Pass, she was waiting for me at the Tea house to further guide me for the remainder of the journey.
I highly recommend Lhakdon and Tibet Vista for any tour if you are intending to take up in Tibet including Mount Kailash and Manosarvar. Lhakdon was an exceptional guide. She was patient and helpful at all times. She was very knowledgeable and shared this with us. Booked a 16 day tour to EBC and Mt Kailash during the Saga Dawa Festival. Our guide Yangzom (Grace) and driver Chungda made sure our trip was as comfortable as possible, and went out of their way to ensure everything went smoothly and every members’ request was fulfilled.

Yangzom is very knowledgeable on Tibetan history, and I learnt a lot from her. She also answered all questions our group had.

Thanks to Yangzom and her guidance, all members of our group managed to complete the trek around Mt Kailash, which is no mean feat.

Overall, I enjoyed my first trip to Tibet thanks to the expert guidance of Yangzom and Chungda.
