I myself ordered a birth certificate for my self as required one for job interviews as form of i.d. as I could not find mine and could not get down to my local council offices to obtain a new one I looked online this came up thought yeah looks ok ordered it well within time of my interview a month in advance and nothing so I contacted them via email got a reply saying it's not go through I put my details on wrong the date of my birth I was like nope I didn't I check and double check every page I fill out online before going to the next page .
Demanded I pay them another £5 for admin fee when I said nope as it's not my error I know that for sure it's an error their end if not a scam.
They informed me well they will refund me less the search fee out of near 20.00 fee they send me back 4.98.
I contacted my bank to which I was informed as I've now openly got a dispute going with this company I need to get information to help support my claim to obtain the full amount back from the company nowhere in the terms of service does it state the search fee they decided to take off my refund anywhere on their site. So all that along with this site hopefully my bank will get the claim sorted for me otherwise I will be changing banks

I ordered a marriage certificate in mid-April from this website and did not immediately receive an email confirmation, which got me worried. I then searched for the company online and became concerned that I had been the victim of a scam. I decided to wait it out and see what happened.

I eventually received an email confirmation later that day and I was able to use the the order number to check on the progress over the next few weeks. The first week in May it updated to say it had been dispatched and I received the certificates recorded delivery a few days later. Overall I was happy with the service.

My advice if you need replacement certificates:
- If you've got full details, order the replacement certificate directly from the local register office where it was originally issued (cheapest option, usually available online or by phone)
- If you have most but not full details (e.g. don't know where the marriage took place but know who and when), pay the extra £3 for the GRO search (gro.gov.uk)
- If you are missing more significant details (in my case, I knew the marriage year but not the date or location), cough up more for a service like UK Official Records, and be patient in waiting for them to arrive (mine actually arrived before a GRO order placed at the same time)

Sent it and never received my certificate!!!!?!
Unemployed and can not afford to lose that money can’t believe customer care .
Lots of other places to use who will send them to your home!!!!

We have just moved to Cyprus and used a company in Paphos to handle the immigration paperwork,they managed to lose our marriage certificate which needed an apostile stamp and that we had looked after for 49 years
We were panicking because we needed a replacement urgently,I contacted UK Official Records and ordered one just over 2 wks ago and it arrived yesterday.
I tracked it all the way,I phoned them,spoke to Simon Mathews who was very helpful and the certificate was a proper one with the Crown stamp and with the Apostile certificate on the back.
I read the negative reviews after I had ordered and was very worried but the service has been excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

The ordering of the birth and marriage certificates was flawless and the certificates arrived on time. however this is NOT a government website so unless you like throwing you money away use the one and only REAL OFFICIAL site which will have “GOV” in its email address rather than this one which came up first in the search and I was in a rush and did not check. It was approximately 40% more expensive for standard birth and marriage certificate copies by normal delivery.

Absolutely disgraceful ! Con people into using them with an official title then charge double the fee on the government website and fob you off and do not provide the item you paid for - do not use these go through GRO (general register office)

Don't touch this company. If I could have given zero stars I would. Have been arguing via e-mail because they claim that I asked for a death certificate for myself ????!!!!! I asked for proof and they won't give it. I wanted one for my brother. That was a month or so ago now. They are a shambolic company and the one time I phoned them I was told that the lack of a certificate in the promised time was because of a coroner's report .... crap. There was no reason for that and the funeral went ahead so that wouldn't have happened without a death certificate. Also the person on the phone was rude and abrupt. Don't waste your money. Go to the government website. Much quicker and far more professional.

Generally slow service which seems to got worse since the New Year. Ordered a birth certificate over a month ago and am still waiting for this to be posted. The phone no on their website is always engaged and they take over 48 hours to reply to any emails. If there is anything wrong with your application they were still take the payment but don't bother contacting you! I had to email them but then they claimed I hadn't responded. Won't be using them anymore.

This is not a official uk government site . So if you need original copy of your certificate for birth,death or marriage you need to make sure it is a uk Government site in the appropriate city. Or you will only receive a original photocopy Which unless you only want it for a family tree the copy is useless.

My mother used this company to gain a 40 year old decree absolute and was told she would receive the document in 20 days after paying over £100!! - this is now 12 weeks ago and we are still waiting for the document to appear.
Also the woman who answers the phone needs to be replaced as she is rude and obnoxious.
Do not use this company.

Despite using the word "official" in their site, this is absolutely not an official site for UK records, they are just preying on people thinking they are, then charging a premium just to forwarding your request to the real OFFICIAL provider the General Register Office.
