ero nei termini di esercitare il diritto di recesso ( ho fatto domanda dall'ottavo giorno dal mio ordine) indiegogo se ne è lavata le mani e united city bike alla mia continua richiesta di risarcimento latita.

è una bufala united city bike non ha progettato nulla !!!
ha ribrendizzato una bicicletta da 300 dollari cinese fatta nel 2017.
non è una start up svizzera ma solo dei bravi truffatori e bravi con il marketing.
la bici non pesa 13 kg !
e non è omologata per eu se la usate avete un incidenti non siete coperti da nessuna assicurazione!! non ha nessun marchio ce.
in oltre nasconde il reale prezzo .
mi sono rivolta associazione consumatori ma la vedo assai difficile....
perfavore non la comprate !!! E nn finanziate nessun progetto di questa dubbia società svizzera.

The 'CEO of the company' you see smiling in the videos talking about this wonderful bike? He's a paid actor reading a script.

The 14 day refund period? Doesn't exist, once you transfer your money you're not getting it back.

The Shimano brakes? Nope they're not included.

The 12.5kg weight? Wrong. It's actually nearly a full 2KG HEAVIER at 14.3kg as they don't include the weight of the seat post and battery.

The £500 hidden shipping and customs costs? Guess what? They're not included, or mentioned anywhere in the T&C's until after your money is taken.

The maximum speed? That's false also, couldn't get it above 20km/h. Over 12 km/h slower than they claim it travels at.

And how about the fact it's actually a relatively cheap white label chinese e-bike which has been ordered in bulk by UCB and then plastered with their branding? That's right, this bike has not been 'designed' from scratch, is not ground breaking, is not a legitimate product.

The only reason Trustpilot is currently showing 2 1/2 stars is because they've paid people to leave positive reviews. I see they're slashing their prices now too, trying to offload the warehouse of product before doing a runner I imagine.

This business is a con, run by an experienced con artist and based on lies.

Nachdem ich nicht mehr damit gerechnet habe, kam nun nach über einem Jahr das Bike an. Der erste Eindruck ganz ordentlich, entgegen den Bilder wurden aber Veränderungen vorgenommen, so ist die der Feststellhebel am Lenker nun aus Plastik statt Metall, auch macht der Hebel am Rahmen keinen stabilen Eindruck! Der Sattel ist von der Neigung her unangenehm eingestellt und lässt sich horizontal nicht verstellen.
Die mechanische Scheibenbremse zieht zwar ausreichend, läßt sich aber schlecht einstellen, es schleift immer etwas an der Scheibe.
Die Motorunterstützung am Berg ist zu schwach, man muss sehr kräftig treten, eine Gangschaltung fehlt leider.
Die Reichweite von 52 km kann ich nicht bestätigen, bei 13,7km war der Akku leer,

Aber nun das größte Problem, es hat keine CE Kennzeichnung und ist somit in der EU nicht zugelassen, ich hatte aber extra das Bike mit Straßenzulassung geordert. !!!!!
Das CE Zertifikat bezieht sich zwar auf ein Faltbike Model CFD-1, aber das „The ONE U1“ ist darin nicht aufgeführt, außerdem ist das CE Zeichen direkt am Bike angebracht zwingend erforderlich.
Das Ladegerät sowie der Akku haben aber ein CE Prüfzeichen.
Wenn Ihr trotzdem damit fährt und ein Unfall verursacht, haftete ihr.
Eine diesbezügliche Anfrage bei UCB wurde nicht beantwortet!!
Darum gibt es von mir auch nur einen Stern

Das Rad ist im täglichen Gebrauch ok. Verglichen z.B. mit einem Brompton landet es bezüglich Praktikabilität, Smartness der Features und Usability im abgeschlagenen Feld. So etwa ist der Klappständer zu fragil und bereits gebrochen.
Im gefalteten Zustand ist es kippelig und die Kabel verklemmen mit dem Stützständer (= eingefahrene Sattelstütze)

Zur Reichweite: realistisch erprobt habe ich 15 km bergauf (mit Stufe 3) mit einer Akkuladung geschafft. In gemischtem Gelände sind es ca 30 -35 km

Noch ein kritisches Wort zu United City Bikes: deren Leistung ist weniger eine technische Innovation, sonder ein marketingtechnisches in Verkehr bringen!

Konkret: Hier wird ein chinesisches Jaunty Bike zu einem schweizer Qualitätsbike umgebrandet.

Das Rad ist - bis auf ein paar Mängel, siehe Klappständer - wie gesagt gut, aber über andere Quellen billiger zu erstehen!

erste Rezension:

Das Rad, wenn es denn endlich da ist, ist klasse!

Es ist kompakt und fährt sich sehr gut, hat auch ausreichend Kraftreserven um auch bergauf gut zu unterstützen.

Ich bin JETZT zufrieden.

Ätzend war die lange Wartezeit und das immer wieder hochkommende Gefühl, es könnte doch (wie auch hier und andernorts im Netz kolportiert) eine Internet-Abzocke ohne reales Produkt sein. Das ist jetzt vorbei und erledigt.

Kritisch sehe ich die Prozessqualität von UCB: ich habe drei Räder bestellt, ein dunkelgraues U3 ein klassikgraues Twinset U2. Geliefert wurden - nach einem Aviso, dass das U3 technisch nicht machbar wäre und einer Preisgutschrift von $ 100,-- - drei identisch graue U2 .

Ich habe ein zusätzliches Battery Pack bestellt und bezahlt - das lag der Lieferung aber nicht bei.

Einige der ursprünglich angepriesenen Features (Ständer, Hydraulikbremsen) wurden durch Standardteile ersetzt. What so ever!

Die Preisauszeichnung von UCB ist missverständlich und verbesserungswürdig: Es ist NICHT SOFORT und UNMISSVERSTÄNDLICH KLAR, dass zu dem im www ausgepreisten Betrag noch der Transport plus 21 % Zoll plus die jeweilige länderspezifische Mehrwertssteuer dazu kommen!

Noch zum Rad selbst:
Das Zusammenklappen braucht einige Übung ... bis die Pedale in der richtigen Stellung sind, der Lenker sich einfügt. Nicht günstig finde ich, dass das Display dabei (fast, bei Bodenunebenheiten sicher) am Boden aufliegt. Da fürchte ich, dass das Display zerkratzen wird. Mal sehen!

Das Aufklappen ist easy. Der richtige Griff (RECHTE Hand am Sattel!!! LINKE Hand an der Lenkstange), einmal angehoben und klick, klick, die beiden Sicherungen arretiert, Pedale aufgeklappt und Sattelhöhe eingestellt und das Rad ist fahrbereit. Klug durchdacht und in der Einfachheit des Handlings mit einem Brompton vergleichbar.

Im zusammengeklappten Zustand ist das Rad - im Vergleich zu einem Brompton - etwas sperrig und z.B. im Kofferraum meines Autos nur etwas kippelig zu verstauen. (niedriger, aber länger als das Brompton und kein stabiler Stand)

Hier sei nochmals ein kurzer Vergleich mit Brompton gestattet. In Summe bietet Brompton ein ausgeklügelteres Konzept und ein wohldurchdachtes System von Acessoires wie z.B. Gepäckhalterungen, Taschen etc. Das e-Brompton ist in Österreich zwar announced aber seit mehr als 2 Jahren nicht lieferbar.

Das UCB U 2 ist lieferbar (jetzt!!! ;o) und trotz Zoll und MWSt Nachzahlung bedeutend günstiger als das (nichtverfügbare) e-Brompton.
Fazit: das Rad selbst ist wirklich klasse. Es erfüllt den Zweck eines klein zusammenfaltbaren kraftvollen eBikes für die urbane Nutzung). In Summe: Ich würde es wieder kaufen. Ein Punkt Abzug wegen der fehlenden Teile!

Effectivement le délai de livraison n a pas été tenu mais vu les circonstances cela est tout à fait compréhensible, de plus la société communique et envoie régulièrement des nouvelles et photos de la fabrication et des départs des conteneurs. Mon vélo est bien arrivé!
Une fois mon vélo arrivé, au premier abord : il est superbe ! je ne suis pas déçue !
facile à monter et à replier, la batterie arrive chargée, tout fonctionne.
Je n'ai pu faire qu'un petit tour vu les circonstances (confinement)mais le test est tout à fait concluant: facile à conduire, maniable, les vitesses électriques se passent très aisément et sont efficaces ! je recommande !!!

(+ 21% Swiss VAT + 23.8 % Custom Duty EU)

2) FALSE WEIGHT: CLAIMED WEIGHT 12.5 Kg, REAL WEIGHT 14.3 Kg

3) NO SHIMANO BREAK: Non branded parts, difficult to service the bicycle in London

4) Heavy and Slow to drive when Engine is turned off

5) FALSE MAX SPEED: Claimed Max Speed 32 km/h real speed less than 20 km/h (Speedometer is showing a completely wrong speed)

6) GO-CYCLE GS is a lot FASTER (I met a pair on the street and couldn't follow them), anybody can service it, it is more RESISTANT (United City Bike seem really fragile, and I already have a broken pedal after few km riding), is provided with a free App connected to your phone, bigger wheels. It's more expensive but definitely worth the upgrade (starting from circa 1,999£ including bag Vat Custom duty), available in a few days, no false discounts.. It's easy to check online...

DON'T BUY THIS BIKE!. The company is a complete rip off! They should all be arrested. Shame on you guys, ripping innocent people off. Go rot in hell the lot of you!!

Livraison un peu tardive, mais dans la situation de pandémie, ce fut une gageure de livrer avec 2 mois de retard...
Je devais recevoir mon vélo en novembre 2019, selon ce qui était prévu sous toute réserve et je l'ai reçu en début mars. Il répond à mes attentes et fonctionne très bien. Je suis content!
Son rôle était de prendre facilement place dans une valise pour voyager en train, en voiture et servir pour me déplacer n'importe où... Il est très utile. Puissant et léger. Bref, je le recommande pour cette utilisation.

Good at taking your money but try to get a refund. It states that we have 10 days to get a refund from the time of purchase, so before the 10 days is up, I am trying to get a refund and not responding to my emails. Come on United City bikes!!! I will escalate this.

Bin jetzt 100 Kilometer unterwegs mit dem bike, super leicht, hat power und ist, trotz der kleinen Räder, hervorragend zu fahren und zu kontrollieren, Bremsen 1A, Hupe, Licht... einzig eine Tasche hätte ich gern, die gibts jetzt, wie ich gesehen habe. Kann das Bike nur empfehlen..

Folks...when you buy this bike, you are assuming all risks even during the warranty period. Unless you are mechanically astute, I suggest you stay with big/established companies with good customer services. I spent $1,300 and got to enjoy this bike for one day (6km) before it became a piece of junk. Very disappointed in UCB. Here is what happened so far.

2019/9 Ordered THE ONE U2

2020/2/14 Bike Delievered to US, brought it to Japan (on board)

2020/2/17 Brought to Japan

2020/3/6 Rode the bike for the first time (6 Km)

2020/3/7 The LCD Displays show E10 Error, electric gear/motor disabled, issue reported to UCB.

2020/3/11 UCB responds,
"This means probably one of the connectors on the controller under the frame has gotten lose. You would have to fix this with a bicycle dealer who can fix this. You can send us the bill once it has been fixed."

2020/3/17 Reported back to UCB that no bike shop in Japan would take THE ONE since there is no repair manual/parts available.

2020/3/20 UCB responds via e-mail that E10 means "Communication receiving failure. Our technician said the connection between display and controller is poor. Please ask this customer to check the cables in front of the vertical tube first, the cable of display was probably broken by rough operation. If the cables are all good, then please ask him to disassemble the bottom cover plate which is connected with the kickstand and check the connecting between the connector of display and controller. If the connection is also good, then the last method is to change the controller."

2020/3/20 I wrote back to UCB:
I do need a manual or a video on how to inspect the cables as instructed, since these cables are embedded inside the tube and there is no way to open up the tube. FYI, I don't even know where/what the "controller" is. Can you send me a video on how to reach the cables inside the front vertical tube?

No response from UCB so far, and I have requested a return/refund of this product. No response again.

Habe ein Rad bis jetzt erhalten.Will es auf dem Boot nutzen.
Nach dem ersten ausprobieren völlig ok ,der Motor hat eine leichte Verzögerung mit der man sich arrangieren kann.
Für den Zweck für was ich es nutze , bin ich vollkommen zufrieden.
Es ist leicht ,super schnell zu falten und unterstützt mich mit Motorkraft.
Alles das was ich wollte.
Habe zwar ein Jahr drauf gewartet,wusste aber worauf ich mich einlasse .
Wenn jetzt noch mein zweites bestelltes Rad kommt (hatte ein Twinsets bestellt),
Bin ich rundum glücklich.

J'ai passé commande d'un vélo the One U2, le samedi 7 mars 2020 via la plateforme de "crowdfunding" Indiegogo.

Avant de valider mon paiement, Indiegogo indiquait que j'avais un délai de rétractation de 10 jours (jusqu'au 17 mars). Vu qu'il s'agissait du "dernier vélo disponible", j'ai validé le paiement de ma contribution.

Bizarrement, il restait toujours un dernier vélo disponible après ma commande (j'étais pourtant censé l’avoir acheté) et dès le lundi 9 mars, il m'était impossible de demander un remboursement.

C'est à ce moment que j'ai appris qu'il y existait un modèle de vélo chinois (jaunty bike) ressemblant étrangement à the One (qui se targue pourtant d’être unique et multi-breveté) et disponible à la vente à des prix bien inférieurs à ceux affichés par United City Bike (qui, soit dit-en passant, met en avant la livraison internationale mais omet de mentionner les frais des douanes, à hauteur de plusieurs centaines d’euros et à la charge de l’acheteur). C’est aussi là que j’ai découvert que de nombreux acheteurs déploraient : tromperie sur marchandise, livraison retardée, frais de douanes cachés ou censure sur les avis négatifs.

J'ai pris contact avec United City Bike pour demander le remboursement de ma contribution (mail transmis à info_at_united-city-bikes_dot_com et à support_at_united-city-bikes_dot_com), mais suis, à ce jour, resté sans réponse. J'ai essayé de les contacter par téléphone : pas de réponse. Je les contactés par Facebook et ai eu une réponse de "Anna" me disant d'envoyer un mail à support_at_united-city-bikes_dot_com (ce que j'avais déjà fait le jour précédent).

Je ne compte pas en rester là si je ne n'obtiens pas expressément le remboursement de ma commande.

Vu le nombre de personnes s’estimant escroquées (puisque c'est bien d’une escroquerie qu'il pourrait s’agir - Anna, si vous me lisez, prouvez-moi le contraire), je pense qu’une action commune en justice serait une réponse adéquate.

Je rappelle d'ailleurs que vous pouvez signaler les escroqueries internationales en ligne sur le site econsumer_dot_com

I ordered a The One U2 bike on Saturday March 7, 2020 via the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform.

Before confirming my payment, Indiegogo indicated that I had a 10 day refund time (until March 17). Since it was there was only ”1 bike left” , I validated the payment of my contribution.

To my surprise, there still was only ”1 bike left” after my order (although I was supposed to have bought the last one) and as of Monday, March 9, I was unable to click request refund through Indiegogo.

By that time I learned there was a model of Chinese bike (jaunty bike) strangely resembling the One (which nevertheless claims to be unique and multi-patented) and available for sale at far lower prices than those posted by United City Bike (which, by the way, highlights international delivery but fails to mention customs fees up to several hundred dollars and borne by the buyer). It was also there that I discovered the unfortunate experience of the many other “backers”: deception on goods, delivery delays, hidden customs fees or censorship of negative reviews among other.

I contacted United City Bike to request a full refund of my contribution (email sent to info_at_united-city-bikes_dot_com and support_at_united-city-bikes_dot_com), but haven’t received an answer to date. I tried to contact them by phone but no one would pick-up. I contacted them by Facebook and got a response from "Anna" telling me to send an email to support_at_united-city-bikes_dot_com (which I had done the day before) : ever since, nothing.

I do not intend to stop here if I do not expressly get refunded.

Judging by the number of people considering themselves to have been deceived (since this could all be a big scam – “Anna”, if you read this, please prove to me wrong), I think that a joint legal action would be just an adequate answer.

This bike is a scam; nearly everything the seller has claimed about the bike on their Indiegogo campaign has been proven to be false. For example, the bike weighs at least 14.1 kg, not the 12.5 kg claimed. There is no torque sensor, only a very cheap cadence sensor. The controller is locked in many or most cases and no adjustments can be made so, for example, you are stuck with kmh rather than mph in the USA. The range of the bike is under 20km, not what is claimed. The bike rides like a tricycle or a moped, not like a real bike. There are no Shimano hydraulic brakes as promised, rather some unheard of cheap Chinese brand of regular brakes. The list goes on on and on. The bike was not developed by these Swiss (if they are Swiss) charlatans, rather is a cheap Chinese bike from 2017 that UCB had white labeled with their name on it and which was presented to the public on Indiegogo as their invention. Check out the reddit on this bike; it's an overpriced piece of cheap Alibaba junk being perpetrated on the public as if it were a new invention. Don't be fooled like the backers on IGG (including myself). This is a scam and these people are scammers. Avoid UCB and Indiegogo like the plague; your wallet will thank you.

By the way, UCB is making every effort to have negative reviews of their scam product removed on Trustpilot and other sites. This is the second time I am posting a review because they had the first one removed.

Even worse, UCB is preventing backers who have posted negative comments on their Indiegogo campaign page once they post an initial comment (whch UCB then removes). What they are doing is reporting to Indiegogo that they have "refunded" the backer's money so that the backer is no longer entitled to post comments.

Of course, UCB is NOT refunding the contributor's money, they are just claiming to IGG that they have.

No ethical company does things like this, but again, UCB is anything but ethical. Forewarned is forearmed. Avoid this company like you would the Coronavirus.

Finally I got my THE ONE and I could not be more happy. The wait was so worth it and I get so many compliments for it. I use it everyday to go to work and I am even faster than with the train plus I already lost some pounds, which is seems super positive to me. Thanks again UCB Team and good luck in the future!

le vélo The One : il avait garantit une livraison en septembre 2019, puis octobre, puis novembre, puis en décembre ils ont demandé 473,04€ de frais et taxes pour le recevoir....
je demande le remboursement et la société indique que le délai de rétractation de 10 jours est dépassé
impossible de se faire rembourser
sur tous les forums Français ou européen tout le monde dit la même chose....
