Bought a caravan on 18 of July phoned the next day with two faults. They asked for pictures we sent them and now two months later we have nothing sorted out only B S in emails. Would not recommend this place to anyone

Bought our brand new Bailey motorhome from here two years ago. What a fabulous service from the sales team, not the best handover as they hadn’t cleaned it even though they knew we were picking it up that day.
The reason for my post now is that i’m reading all your posts, people who are singing their praises and clearly have not had to deal with the warranty department yet. When you do, god help you! Diabolical service, staff change constantly, told warranty claim had been submitted only to find out 8 weeks later that it hadn’t. We’re two years down the line and have been waiting for 6-8 months now for our warranty work to be done, passed from pillar to post and excuse after excuse. Shoddy service, great at the point of sale until they get your money then they don’t give a stuff. You have been warned!

We are totally new to having a caravan. Decided we wanted a touring van. Initially we were looking at second hand and had viewed a few on autotrader. We went to a few caravan dealerships for a wander around and when we came here it was different. Some sites the vans are all locked, you have to go to the office and tell them the key number then they come with you to look around the caravan. I understand the reasoning behind that but when you are a complete newby you don't know what you want. So when we got to Yotkshire Caravans and all the vans were unlocked so you could go in them without feeling pressured, we were like kids in a candy shop. We could go in and have a good look at the different layouts and decide what would work for us. No pushy sales at all but there were staff around if you needed to ask anything.

We found a couple of new caravans we liked. We then met Scott and he showed us a used version of one of the models as another option. Have to say Scott was really knowledgeable and helpful. He's an experienced caravaner himself and no question was a daft question, he really was able to answer all our questions as well as discuss options like motor movers, supaguard, service plans. We didn't buy the caravan there and then we wanted to think about it. So 2 days later we had decided on one of the new caravans a Bailey Pegasus Brindisi Black Edition 2026. Phoned up paid a deposit. Went back that following weekend to pay full deposit and ask more questions 😆 as well as complete the paperwork. Then arranged handover and collection.

Clive did handover so talked us through everything on the caravan, how it all worked. He has the patience of a saint because we had a lot of questions. We felt comfortable asking him about every aspect we were unsure with and again he was so helpful and knowledgeable.

Scott had given us the discount booklet for purchases from the shop and we needed to buy everything. Ellie and Rachel were really helpful, helping us with our shopping list and again explaining things to us. Then Marcus in the awnings section again really helpful. Showed us the different types air and pole, explained what's included, how to set them up and how they attach to the caravan. We haven't purchased the awning yet but we know the one we want and we will get it from here.

When we were due to take the caravan they had found one of the cushions had a rip in it so they sent that off to Bailey for replacement. They gave us the option to keep the caravan on site until the replacement arrived or take the van home, we opted to leave it there. Again for us that showed excellent customer service they could have let us leave with the van and left us sorting it with Bailey but they didn't.

Overall 10/10 for every department. Scott was absolutely great in the sales team helped us work out what we wanted but never once pushed us into anything and Clive even let us film what he was telling us because we knew we may forget by the time we came to use the caravan.

We would definitely recommend Yorkshire Carvans and already have to my sister who is looking at a motorhome.

Staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and enthusiastic, no pressure selling, all in all a great experience, Adam really looked after us, we had some good banter right from the off, everything went smoothly from start to finish, handover date is agreed when deposit paid.. Sarah did the handover, she was brilliant, went through all of features and functions, explained in detail how the systems work and gave us great tips both to do and what not to do.. Our motor home Autosleepers Broadway EL is a dream, little faults had all been fixed and it was very clean.. All in all Adam and Sarah did a great job in looking after us.. Thank you Ian and Rose

Good experience overall. Received a fair offer for my motorhome as part ex towards a caravan. After it was inspected they honoured the original offer. The caravan handover was efficient and Clive was extremely helpful. The whole transaction was handled by Peter Utting and I would use them again happily. We had our first trip in the caravan last weekend and the whole family is very happy with it.

We recently sold our caravan to Yorkshire caravans. Got an excellent price from grant and we’re really happy with the whole selling experience. Straight forward and no hassle.

We recently bought our first motorhome from Yorkshire Caravans. We had a very pleasant journey from choosing our motorhome to the handover. Steve Johnson and Grant Lees were both exceptionally good in sales and the handover team were too. We would definitely recommend buying from here.

We went looking for a new awning and couldn't have come to a better place..Salesman Dave ia obviously an expert in this department and soon had a awning sussed out to fit our caravan after cross referencing the Internet. He had all the time in the world for us even though it was a busy Sunday afternoon .Thanks very much for a stress free experience.

Only 4 stars, as I had waited hours for a call back when trying to arrange a viewing, even when I had chased them up. Having phoned (maybe I should have just done this in the first place!) Debbie was very helpful in showing us the van, and making our purchase. I just hope the handover is as good.

I visited Yorkshire Caravans today to collect my caravan from repair. I needed a drill leg winder from the shop and didn't know where to look. I asked the young lady behind the counter who was busy inputting data on her computer. She immediately stopped what she was doing and showed me exactly where I needed to be. She was very polite and I felt valued as a customer. What a fantastic member of staff and a credit to the company.

Absolutely dire customer service. We finally took the plunge to upgrade to a brand new caravan from Yorkshire Caravans despite having a couple of acquaintances who had had disappointing experiences buying pre owned caravans from them. On arrival to collect our caravan the windows were scratched and the “valet “ standard was appalling (also what a friend of ours experienced). We had to make a further trip to collect once the issues had been resolved and despite emailing management, they couldn’t even be bothered to reply. Two stars as we did end up with a caravan.

⭐ 1-STAR REVIEW – VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE WITH YORKSHIRE MOTORHOMES
Extremely disappointed with Yorkshire Motorhomes.
We purchased our motorhome from Yorkshire Motorhomes for around £30,000, expecting a safe, roadworthy vehicle and a reasonable level of after-sales service. Unfortunately, our experience has been anything but that.
On 22nd August, while travelling home on the A1/M1 link road, one of the rear passenger-side tyres suffered a blowout. Thankfully, we were able to maintain control of the motorhome and get safely onto the hard shoulder.
What should have been a straightforward wheel change turned into a much more serious problem. The spare wheel had seized underneath the motorhome, and the release cables had to be cut. Even then, the wheel could not be lowered and the entire spare-wheel mechanism had to be removed.
On further inspection, we discovered that all four tyres fitted to the motorhome were C-rated commercial van tyres rather than CP-rated motorhome tyres. This was extremely concerning, particularly given the seriousness of the blowout.
We have now had to pay over £600 ourselves for four replacement tyres and a replacement spare-wheel bracket — costs we feel we should never have had to face after owning the motorhome for only four months.
Unfortunately, this isn't an isolated issue. We have already experienced problems with a missing battery and missing gas pipe, requiring the motorhome to be returned to Yorkshire Motorhomes. We are also still waiting for confirmation that the habitation check was passed.
What is perhaps most disappointing is that despite raising all of these concerns with Yorkshire Motorhomes, absolutely nothing has been resolved. We have been left out of pocket and, more importantly, seriously concerned about the condition and safety of a vehicle we purchased from them.
For a company of this size and reputation, we expected much better customer service and after-sales support.
£30,000 is a lot of money to spend on a motorhome, and we expected to be able to trust that it had been properly checked and supplied with the correct equipment. Instead, four months later, we have spent over £600 putting things right ourselves and are still waiting for issues to be resolved.
This has been an extremely disappointing experience, and based on our experience so far, we would not buy from Yorkshire Motorhomes again.
I would strongly recommend anyone considering purchasing a motorhome from them to carry out their own thorough independent inspection before handing over their money.
The only thing we have had back is a couple of generic not our problem emails. But I'm sure they will copy and paste other stock answer from there other 1 star reviews on here in answer to this review. oh and still haven't got a habitation certificate to say its safe.
Please avoid and spend your money at somewhere who cares

This is a review for David in the awning department. He was really helpful gave us information we needed and the advice we wanted. He definitely knows what he’s doing . David was really nice to chat to and gave us all the info on the aftercare if we needed it. He is most definitely a credit to Yorkshire Caravans .
Will definitely go back for any new purchase.

we did have an idea of the type of motorhome/ camper van we were looking for. so in part our visit was about looking at what we had already seen reviews about on you tube. however we did not find what we were looking for on the day of our visit, but we were impressed by the knowledge and friendliness of the sales team.
