Never had an issue
I am concerned that Yorkshire Water is unfairly treating customers.
I am concerned that Yorkshire Water belongs to foreign investors and not our own. This essentially means our most important resources is controlled by foreign entrepreneurs. I am concerned that capitalist greed will rule over moral principles. For example, continuing to impose hose pipe bans whilst being able to bottle up Yorkshire Water and sell to customers. Sell to the same customers who paying an annual fee for water from the tap. You should not be allowed to bottle up the water we already pay for and impose restrictions on our taps.
Furthermore, the billing is ridiculous because a small household using less water is charged the same as a family of 5. I believe every household should have the option to go on a meter, where they can track their usage and get accurate charges.
Yorkshire Water is a privatised company. However, customers do not get the choice of service providers. Without competition in the privatised sector it creates space for power imbalances. Where customers run the risk of being exploited.
Again, why does the UK not own its own water, such an important resource, that is becoming more sensored, owned by foreign investors.
Never trust Yorkshire Water
Made light mess of my drive and just left it. Complete arrogant cowboys. They promised they would come back and sort it out, but it never happened. You can't trust a word they say. Lying is second nature to them and they are only interested in two things, which are, robbing the public blind and polluting the waterways. If this government had any guts at all, they nationalise the water of this country in order of incompetence - so Yorkshire water would be one of the first. We have had two days now where it hasn't rained, so expect a hose pipe ban anytime soon. They can't have the public using the water when they can sell it to Data Centres, Builders and Soft Drink companies. Nasty, greedy company who pretends to care about its customers, but is actually laughing at them as the money rolls in.

A leak from pipe or broken drain that your own technician said was your responsibility!? Yet he and his pal re line the sewer instead and drive away.
I can't cook, bathe, wash my clothes, boil a kettle or charge my phone.....and yet all I hear is " we understand your frustration ". You REALLY don't. Trust me. Your staff are ignorant, uncaring and pretty useless. Failed calls, lies, obfuscation.....a MISERABLE EXPERIENCE.......THAT IS NEVER ENDING.

The most recent service I received was good however the monthly price of water is too expensive. £79 a month for a 3 person household. Thats almost £1,000 a year for water. Nearly as expensive as my gas and electric. Doesn’t feel right proportionally.
