The 1.5 star rating does not surprise…

The 1.5 star rating does not surprise me. I had a horrible experience at a hotel I booked on hotels.com. I contacted them for a refund as well as the hotel corporate office for the hotel. No one would cooperate. Never again will I recommend it. I’m sure they will reply to this with some stupid automated response asking me to contact them directly but been there done that and no luck. Too late. They lost future money from me as well as anyone I would have sent to them. I even deleted my account. They tried to buy me off with 3,000 points that could probably only get me a bag of M&M’s at the front desk.

company has no investment value

company has no investment value. sales pitch is mostly about how much value they have in resale. no value at all after purchase. points only worth one tenth of a cent on resale. company has no buy back option as stated in promotional sales pitch.

Was in a bit of a pickle last night…

Was in a bit of a pickle last night searching for a place to stay and found Days inn at Wyndam and a very pleasant gentleman at reception called liam who was excellent at reception and allowed me to leave my motorbike outside reception.
Would highly recommend this hotel and especially liam on reception.

Mauvaise expérience Days Inn

Très mauvaise expérience dans un Days Inn (Southland Chicago) ! L'hôtel est dans un très mauvais état : les portes des chambres sont toutes très abîmées et il y a des coup de peintures blanches partout dans l'hôtel. Dans notre chambre, les lits étaient faits sans draps et il n'y avait aucune chaise ou cintre pour poser nos vêtements. De plus, l'alarme incendie peut se déclencher à cause de la vapeur d'eau de la douche, ce qui ne me semble pas normal pour une alarme incendie ... Elle s'est d'ailleurs déclenché dans la soirée sans aucune raison apparente. Enfin, il n'y avait ni de petit-déjeuner ni de machine à café alors qu'ils étaient inscrits dans les services proposés par l'hôtel (tous les days inn propose un petit-déjeuner, c'est un standard de la chaîne). C'est donc une arnaque !
Wyndham devrait sérieusement reconsidérer la place de cet hôtel dans son groupe : il est indigne d'un Days Inn ! Le Quality Inn juste à côté semble être bien plus agréable ...

Very bad experience in a Days Inn (Southland Chicago) ! The hotel is in a very bad state: the room doors are all badly damaged and there are white paint cuts all over the hotel. In our room, the beds were made without sheets and there were no chairs or hangers to put our clothes on. What's more, the fire alarm can be triggered by steam from the shower, which I don't think is normal for a fire alarm... In fact, it went off in the evening for no apparent reason. Finally, there was no breakfast and no coffee machine, even though they were included in the hotel's services (all Days Inn hotels offer breakfast, which is a chain standard). So it's a rip-off!
Wyndham should seriously reconsider this hotel's place in its group: it's unworthy of a Days Inn! The Quality Inn next door seems much nicer...

Wyndham Viva Maya- this hotel engages in fraudulent practices!!!

I strongly urge anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere. My experience was nothing short of a nightmare. I purchased a day pass and was charged immediately. However, when I arrived, the hotel staff claimed my card had been declined. I showed them the successful charge on my banking app, but they refused to acknowledge it.

Despite multiple attempts, I’ve been unable to contact the resort to resolve the issue. Their customer service number hangs up every time I call, leaving me with no recourse. Worse, my bank has been unable to reverse the charges, so I'm out the money without receiving the service I paid for.

This hotel’s actions are nothing short of theft. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place at all costs. If you value your time and money, stay far away from this resort.

There's no continental breakfast at my…

There's no continental breakfast at my location and when your a truck driver broke down with no transportation it would be nice to get a breakfast that's the reason for choosing this location but there no hot breakfast

A hotel chain with 0 customer service

After reading other reviews I can see my time here is wasted.
While we love that most Wyndham's are pet friendly, customer service is non-existent.
Sad that we are looking for a chain that cares and has customer service with folks that speak clearly.

Gaybashing, gaslighting and lies.

Days inn employees in Missoula Montana gaybashed me, called me a “f*%#ot”, and other slurs during my stay and this terrible company handled it very poorly. First I was interrogated through the door of my room by the bigoted abusive employee, who then tried to gaslight me over it. Then I was gaybashed during checkout, with more gaslighting. Then the manager who really didn’t want to even return my phone calls lied her ass off about the incident when I finally spoke to her. Homophobic bullying and harassment also occured through the door of my room and was probably encouraged by staff. Don’t trust this horrible company or its deranged bigoted employees.

Scammed - booked 1 night, got charged 2 reservations

I am extremely disappointed in the customer care service and I feel as though I've been scammed. I booked for one night at a Wyndham hotel, and received a confirmation email the day I booked, one month before my stay.
The week of my reservation, I received a 'reminder email' of my stay - I check it and it's two nights instead of one. Strange, as I never received a confirmation for 2 nights or even accidentally booking twice. I call to make this adjustment and the customer care representatives were incredibly rude and unhelpful, even hanging up on me when I ask how could I have booked twice when I never received an email on booking this mysterious stay.
I feel unsafe giving this company my personal and credit card information and fear I will end up paying nearly $1000 for a one-night stay in a 3-star hotel. Extremely disconcerting, would not recommend giving this company business. The hotel itself is fine and provides what is needed, as I have stayed there before. But if staying there means going through Wyndham's customer care, I am out.

This is a complaint against Thriftlodge…

This is a complaint against Thriftlodge by Wyndham in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. The website pictures are false advertising. The hotel was filthy and disgusting. I am amazed that a name like Wyndham associates itself with such a sleazy hotel. They are dodgy folks running this business. Book elsewhere, I suggest.

Disease and crime vector and it's out…

Disease and crime vector and it's out in the open. They have squatters and people clearly high on drugs walking around apparently at all times. The staff does not care. My room was absolutely infested with live roaches and had an eviction notice on the door. Room 1113 in Tinton Falls, NJ. I have pictures and video of the roaches. There were also mattresses in the dumpster indicating likely bed bug infestations. There is a bald white male who others have complained about 2 months ago on online reviews on google. We also saw him every time we left or arrived. He is very suspicious. Walks around the entire property with his shirt off talking to himself and making bizarre movements. He appears to be high on meth. Eventually they moved us to room 0123. At one point our keys stopped working and we could've been locked out of our room late at night. Others have reported online the room keys stop working. This is a slum masquerading as a legitimate hotel. It is not only incredibly filthy, but not safe for travelers to stay with their families. We met a family that drove all the way from Canada. It is not safe to allow this place to operate. They refused to let us check out early and of course there is no management to talk to in order to get even a partial refund. My friend who also stayed in another room with his family had the magnetic strip on his card stop working once he got there. I don't trust the guests nor the staff and management. My friend called the police and filed a report with me before we left. In hindsight, the online reviews are horrible but after experiencing it first hand I believe the one review that says his brother died there. I was genuinely concerned for my wife's safety as well as any children.

I've taken some time to look into how an eviction notice could end up on a hotel room door and it takes staying there for a long period of time while having nowhere else to say in order to be considered a tenant. How does one pay these rates for so long and not be able to afford rent elsewhere? Where is the money coming from? Something needs to be done about this place before something terrible happens to an innocent traveler. There is no way they are following proper sanitation procedures. If you can't get them on criminal charges at least have the board of health get involved. Anything to shut this place down. If the staff and management is content with allowing drug addicts to squat there, they should be held accountable for the resultant unsafe and unsanitary conditions.

Unhappy with Wyndham/Ramada Motel…

I have been a happy Wyndham Motel properties customer for 10+ yrs traveling the US coast to coast. Other than during Covid, you could also count on a FREE continental breakfast. Last week I stayed at Ramada on Pacific Coast Highway in Torrance for one night. Property and room were clean but in the morning I went to the breakfast room for coffee and was told I would need to pay $10 per person! This cost was not disclosed on my App and I have never incurred a cost for breakfast in my many stays. I am very disappointed. Wyndham customer service was not help. I will be moving over to Choice Hotels.

Great hotel in lovely part of the country.

Clearwell is the place and it’s where they have weddings in Clearwell Castle. And We stayed at the Wyndham Lodge but went to a wedding in St Peters Church, about 100 meters up the road. We had a lovely room with great en-suite. Plenty of hanging space in spite of other reviews. We had a really ample breakfast in the old part of Wyndham Hotel, not just a continental as described but English as well. Ashleigh was our contact and she was excellent, any problems she sorted it. We will certainly return to explore further as it is a beautiful area and we shall stay at The Wyndham.

I am requesting a complete refund of my booking fee. I had multiple issues with the property during my stay

Under UK consumer law, if the hotel booking I made through Booking.com was misrepresented and did not match the description or pictures provided, I have certain rights and possible remedies. Here are the key points:

1. Misrepresentation:
Misleading Descriptions: The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 (CPRs) prohibit misleading actions and omissions. If the room I booked was misrepresented, it constitutes a breach of these regulations.

Breach of Contract: When I book a hotel room, I enter into a contract. If the room does not match the description, the hotel has breached that contract.

2. Quality and Fitness for Purpose:
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods and services must be as described, of satisfactory quality, and fit for purpose. This applies to hotel accommodation. The issues I faced (e.g., non-working air conditioning, dirty room, and smelly bathroom) indicate that the accommodation was not of satisfactory quality.

3. Rights and Remedies:
Refund or Compensation: I am entitled to a refund or compensation for the nights where the accommodation was not as described or of satisfactory quality. Since I did not receive a suitable room for any of the nights, I am entitled to a full refund or compensation for the inconvenience and substandard accommodation for the four nights.

I have evidence and proofs of the substandard quality of the accomodation provided, which consitutes a breach of contract.

BEDBUGS Duluth Super 8
I had to leave the room in a hurry. Lost some charging cables. Cost me money and time to clean all my things in case some of the bedbugs got in my bag. Horrible. No compensation from Super 8 or Wyndham. In fact Wyndham customer service wrote that it was not their problem because Super 8 is a franchise. No accountability!!
Super 8 staff tried their best to help, but not much they could do.

Excellent hotel

Wanted to say how great staying at Microtel Inn and Suites Becley East was...great breakfast..clean rooms and excellent customer service from Shelby the desk clerk...I will recommend this hotel to all My traveling friends and family

I'm done with Wyndham

I wanted to make reservations with points but Wyndham can be slow getting the points updated. I called to see if customer service could help. After several calls and being on hold for 1 1/2 hours I was told that I would need to call a different department. I have needed to call Wyndham several times in the last few weeks and hold times are consistently over 45 minutes. And then the agent's accent is very difficult to understand. I kept asking the agent to speak a little slower and more clearly and she got frustrated and hung up. Wyndham used to be well respected. Not anymore. Just look at these reviews along with Consumer Affairs, BBB, Reddit, etc. Clearly Wyndham is no longer a quality hospitality chain.

Wyndham Hotel “rewards!” (Don’t bother!)

Made a reservation mistake. (I made it for today when I am arriving at the Hotel tomorrow.) I tried to cancel and re-book online but there was no option to do so. Therefore, I had to call! Well…here’s is where it gets interesting: after explaining that I made a reservation mistake and needed a change, then giving the nice lady my reservation number, and then giving all of my ID information, 12 minutes (!), I was transferred to “Wyndham Rewards.” I had to give all the numbers and ID information to the “new” nice lady. I was put on HOLD four times as they tried to connect with the hotel. ULTIMATELY I WAS DISCONNECTED; Total Time, 35 minutes WASTED! I called back and they put me on hold again. At the same time I called the hotel and was put on hold. As I waited for the Wyndham associate to reconnect with me, the hotel finally took me off hold and changed the reservation (20 minutes on hold). I then disconnected from Wyndham after 18 minutes. LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE!
