Been with the company for a year now
Been with the company for a year now, as it's the only Internet I can get where I live.
Terrible experience as my wifi always glitches (everyday) and is even worse now that they are with valley fibre. Which upon numerous of calls, wondering when the switch is happening, when they will fill in the holes in my yard. I love the same routine... "We will do a hard reset to your modem". Or "we will put in an order to fill in the holes and when the 'drop' will be done. I had an order in June for somebody to come and set up their system, but no one came. Construction started last fall and has finished in July in my area, just wires sticking out everywhere and no answers.
Thumbs down 👎 the best part is that neither swift nor valley fibre can't help for these answers, yet their equipment is being advertised and used for the work? I do understand the hiring out contract babble. But come on. Stop losing my work orders and get with it folks. :(
Worst company on earth?
Not only the worst internet provider in the country. Probably the worst company on earth. Do whatever you can to stay away from these criminals and scumbags. You will NEVER get the speeds they promise and they will try to charge you to fix their garbage equipment. Their "customer service" is almost as useless as their internet service. Go with Starlink or ANYONE besides this truly awful company.
XPLORNET IS HORRIBLE
XPLORNET IS HORRIBLE. We used to get 11mbps with xplornet. Customer service was absoluteley terrible. Took hours to cancel. Starlink is much better.
The absolute worst internet service.
The absolute worst internet service available in Canada. You people make Bell look good. 12 days for follow up from advance tech support.
I was with Xplornet for almost 8 years…
I was with Xplornet for almost 8 years and the service went from bad to worse in that time period. I moved to Starlink a year ago and believe it or not, even with their AI answering your questions, it's still better than Xplornet for customer service when I have a question. And when you try to cancel your Xplornet, it takes an hour+ and they spend most of that time trying to convince you that you still need them. Not. And the internet? I paid over $200 a month for years for 20MB download speed and consistently got 2-5MB download. Can't even compare to Starlink - even on a bad day I get 100MB download speed now and I'm in a very rural location. So the product is bad, the customer service is bad and they don't make it easy to to cancel. You have to be invested in cancelling since you are put on hold repeatedly with the hope you'll give up.
Worst speeds/service ever
Worst speeds ever, even with a huge tower. No service person ever responded after 2 weeks of complaints about complete outage. Switched ourselves to Starlink. Amazing.

Using this company has been the BIGGEST WASTE OF MONEY and I highly recommend you do not waste yours here too.
I pay for the 'fastest' option and I can not even get 1 single TV to stream Netflix smoothly (and I live alone).
And dont expect to be helped when calling into technical support, 12-15 times every week. The employees don't even believe that your having issues because they 'cant see anything on their end', which means they either can't or won't help figure out why... And then to rub salt on the open wound they can't wait to get you off the phone.
Trust me when I say don't sign up with this company - I'm speaking as a current customer living in a pool of regrets.
Got an email to say my Wimax service…
Got an email to say my Wimax service will be terminated by the end of Nov....but they offered me their satellite service. That was the original reason for me dumping Xplore when another company set up wimax in our area. Thru the years they were taken over by Xploitnet. Service went to the dog's.
Switching to Starlink...equipment arrived today. Bye Xploitnet.
Diabolical Customer Service
After being told by Xplornet that they are decommissioning the tower in our rural area, and that there were no other options available for unlimited data, I switched to a different provider. I then called Xplornet to cancel their service and, so far, I have made 4 extremely long calls and they still haven't canceled it. My last call ended with them telling me, again, that I have to call back tomorrow and speak to a different department! Absolutely diabolical customer service!

Internet don’t work
It’s internet doesn’t even work properly most of the time it keeps disconnecting and is only giving me 99 kps it disconnected as I’m writing this
Terrible company
Terrible company, customer for 18 years. I just terminated my service for fibre optics. They offered me free 2 months, then they dropped my monthly fee to $50. I said no thanks. I was getting a discount for the last 7 months, service is terrible. I was paying $90.32 a month, then for my last month they charged me $112.99, because I cancelled. Greedy and petty of a company.

Explorenet is a worst internet and customer service is worst has a company too, everyone changing to starlink 99 percent already changed to starlink, i am changing too, they charge big time for limited use and horrible speed and most of the time never work

Rave for Sunday morning tech support
Internet was out at 5am on a Sunday morning. I called and they resolved the issue within a half an hour. This is the first time we have had any sort of issue in the 10 months we have had it. Bell could NEVER.
Wrong towers over and over again
To sum it up:
Wanted to rent a router but guy shows up and says he only has ones to buy. Then they try charging us on “renting one” that we bought.
Then came the bad internet:
They hooked us up to a tower 25 minutes away so no service. Then they completely dropped us.
They FINALLY hook us up to the right tower but then call and say they want to try a tower that is blocked by hundreds of trees and they wouldn’t take no for an answer. Obviously that tower didn’t work but it ends up they hooked us up to a tower 35 minutes away and they wanted to charge us to move us back to our original tower. They “hooked us back up to our tower” but our internet didn’t work for 2 months so I called and it ends up they hooked us up to a tower 45 minutes away! They come out and charge us to “fix it” when in reality we’re still hooked up to the tower 45 minutes away and have no internet (oh but we’re still paying full price for it). I call to get us hooked up to 5G (their recommendation) but it won’t fix it if the real problem is them putting us on the wrong towers. Absolute f***ing garbage.
Customer service is terrible
Customer service is terrible. Sent a free offer to upgrade speeds - we haven’t gotten around to it, and now we have no internet. The offer to upgrade speed was wanting us to upgrade hardware. Had I known, we would have done that. Talking to anyone in regards to this has been a nightmare.
Move of service was arranged for July…
Move of service was arranged for July 5th. Service was canceled in error July 11th. No ownership of error. Little or no concern about customer situation regarding working at home on the part of agent or manager. I would rate the service very good and customer service very poor. I would think twice about using the service.
Rough Start But Good Now
There were some frustrating issues but they were all resolved, ultimately. Please have patience with new technology.
Crummy Equipment, Worse Service, Lousy Internet!
Signed up with Xplornet in 2020 and at first, service was excellent. In fall of 2022, internet quality declined so badly, it was off more than on. Every time I complained, I was advised that my router was not working properly, so I purchased a new router. Same problem in 2023, same excuses from service technicians. They advised their equipment needed upgrading and would have someone contact me for an appointment to replace, but I never heard from them. Today, I received an email notice that they were raising their monthly rate by $5.00, effective September, 2023. I've cancelled my service and gone with Bell, who offered unlimited internet and 5G for $1 a month more than I was paying Xplornet.
