The monitor is robust, handy to know how many steps you have taken and blood pressure, pulse and heart rate as well as the primary function to keep you safe. It is comforting to know that you are checked up on by Your Stride occasionally.

Easy to use, staff are very easy to talk to. Great product

I was trying to open a new bag to fit into my indoor bin, when the shaking of the I soke bag triggered my watch to tell me a fall had been detected. I spoke to a very nice lady , who then rang my land line as she had a job to hear me clearly. I wasn't made to feel a nuisance as I had unwitting set the alarm off. I also have to remove the watch when I do crocheting, as that makes my step count increase.

everything was made straight forward and easy

I'm puzzled by the reviews that suggest the battery needs to be charged daily and that it needs to be switched back on. I find neither of these to be true. I recharge my watch overnight every other day, when the battery indicator goes from three bars to two. It can last longer and into one bar but you run the risk of it bleeping at you to tell you it's run out. I never switch mine off to recharge it. Didn't know I was meant to. I've had it four years without any problem.

The watch works well and my tests have all proved that.

My mother-in-law had a serious fall whilst outdoors and the watch did not trigger the event. She had serious head injuries from this fall and was dazed to say the least. Customer service only state that it won't always work and recommend 'manual' activation, although couldn't explain how to do this when unable to.
Paid this company a lot over the months and the upfront cost of the band, which is now useless as I immediately cancelled after this travesty.
Apparently a sudden fall followed by an even more sudden stop is not within the bands 'fall parameters'.

I was impressed how quickly it was delivered and already set up and so ready to use. I have a mobility scooter so that also gives me peace of mind when I'm out and about.

I am new and I am very impressed with the service and patience I have recieved,

Still delighted with the watch. It makes me feel safe and the step count is particularly helpful in making sure I get enough exercise.
But it could be more comfortable on my wrist. The watch doesn’t lie completely flat on the curve of my wrist and the strap needs improvement: easier to do up and less likely to work its way out of the two bindings.

Really good! Was a bit sensitive to falls at first so put it down to medium, lot better now. Only downside is that it needs charging regularly, Only lasts about 2 days but it does charge quickly

Very helpful people when I rang with a query. Customer service was good, and my watch gives me a lot more confidence when I'm out, knowing that someone will ring my contact if needed after a fall.

Its a brilliant and safe watch in an emergency

Had this watch for two months now. It picks up things like shaking water droplets from your hands and driving a spade into the ground, is forever saying ‘fall detected’, however I’ve had two house falls and one in the garden and it didn’t pick up ONE of them. I know there is a disclaimer that it doesn’t detect all falls, but NONE AT ALL? No peace of mind at all. Watch itself is very cheap composition with an annoying rubber strap. The BP and pulse functions are a waste of time having them on as they are no-where near accurate. The voice itself is too quiet and you can’t increase it, so someone a little hard-of-hearing would struggle, also the ‘vibration’ notification is very slight too so you hardly feel it. I guess if you are very sedentary and have good hearing that it might be ok, otherwise I’m not sure.
UPDATE: YourStride contacted me promptly and have explained how the algorithms work within the watch. They accepted that the watch has not met my personal expectations and although the 30-day trial period has ended have refunded me the cost of the watch (returned in the original box, and the last months’ subscription. From doing lots of research it would appear that there isn’t anything out there in the market that is more-or-less guaranteed to work, so I will just have to hope for better developments in this field in the future. Meanwhile, than you to YourStride for the refunds.

A good product that covers the problems of old age and balance, (what to do if you do fall over). The watch is smart and the the response from the company shows concern, they watch silently until needed. I would recommend the company and their watch.
