Very cozy cabin about 20 min outside Breckenridge. Everything was very clean, loved the hot tub, views, and nearby hikes. Cabin had a record player and plenty of books and board games. We had a great weekend escape from the heat in Denver!

We absolutely loved our stay! The Hummingbird home was beautifully designed, and the artwork throughout gave it so much character. Every detail of the house made it feel welcoming, stylish, and comfortable.
The pool was amazing and one of our favorite parts of the stay. The entire property and surrounding environment were relaxing and well-maintained, making it the perfect place to unwind!!!
The location was also fantastic—close to the beach, restaurants, and plenty of other attractions, so everything we wanted to do.
We would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay, and we would absolutely love to come back!

The local property management team is incompetent and unethical. They have known about a critical and continuous air-conditioning issue at this location and have refused to properly address it; instead opting to hide temporary cooling units for every upstairs bedroom and forcing the renter to install them to provide a minimally acceptable space temperature. The entire upstairs area is unlivable without 5 additional subsequent cooling units. The house is hot and muggy and should not be listed for rent.

Additionally, the pool was not clean at arrival and the water pressure in the house is abysmally low.

Horrible experience! Do not book with Avantstay. Cancelled our home rental after it was booked for months and only provided refund of amount booked, even though options to find another accommodation for our group of 19 was limited since close to our travel date. Lots of “sorry for inconvenience”.

Beautiful home in a great location! The house was clean and had everything we needed to cook and live comfortably for 10 days. The house also had two sets of washers and dryers which made washing for a family of 11 quite easy. If anything was needed, Avant Stay responded quickly to text and provided the need. This house is within walking distance of several restaurants, ice cream, bike rentals and a few Blue Mountain beach accesses. We rented bikes and rode down to Grayton Beach several times to change things up. I would highly recommend this rental.

The location of the house was out of this world. It had everything we needed!! We ended up coming to town early and checked to see if the house happened to be available and the team was super responsive and so helpful! They got it ready for us and we couldn’t be more thankful! We can’t wait to come back!

I am writing to express my disappointment with our recent stay at Flirty Flamingo from July 9–13.

My family has enjoyed booking with AvantStay over the past three years, and we’ve spent approximately $20,000 on our annual beach vacations with this company. Because of those positive experiences, we have continued to return year after year. Unfortunately, this stay fell well below the standard we have come to expect and has caused us to question whether we will continue booking with AvantStay in the future.

Upon arrival and throughout our stay, we encountered numerous maintenance, cleanliness, and safety issues, at the Flirty Flamingo including:

One bedroom ceiling fan was inoperable upon arrival.
The microwave did not work.
The K-Cup function of the coffee maker was nonfunctional.
Every outdoor seating surface was dirty or covered with bird droppings.
The pool contained dead bugs and had an oily film on the surface when we arrived.
We requested a pool net from maintenance on two separate occasions so we could clean the pool ourselves, but never received one.
The pool heater remained on for our entire stay.
There was a rotting crab carcass in the pool pump house, creating a strong foul odor.
Animal feces were left on the artificial turf.
There were several cigarette butts scattered around the patio area.
One mattress was significantly sunken in the middle, making it uncomfortable to sleep on.
Several GFCI outlets were not functioning upon arrival and had to be reset.
The curtain rod in the bunk room was not properly secured. When we attempted to open the curtains, the rod detached from the wall and fell on my mother-in-law.
The support slats beneath the top bunk mattress were too short and would slide out from under the mattress, creating a serious safety hazard for the children sleeping there.
The outdoor swings were not properly secured. The mounting bolts were rusted, and when someone sat on the swings, the mounting board visibly pulled away from the ceiling.
There was a noticeable septic odor coming from the first bedroom on the left side of the home.
The outdoor shower leaked continuously, creating a slippery film on the concrete. My nephew slipped while walking through the area.
During the middle of our vacation, we were given only 30 minutes’ notice that maintenance needed to enter the home to remove a refrigerator. This was disruptive to our family, and after removing it, maintenance left a substantial amount of water on the floor without offering to clean it up.
While I understand that occasional maintenance issues can arise, the sheer number of problems—particularly those involving cleanliness and guest safety—suggests that this property was not adequately inspected or prepared before our arrival.

Our vacation is something our family looks forward to all year, and it was disappointing to spend so much of it dealing with problems that should have been addressed before guests checked in. Even more concerning were the safety hazards that could have resulted in serious injury.

I hope these issues are corrected promptly so future guests do not encounter the same problems.

I rent a few vacation homes every year. Anywhere from the West Coast to the Mediterranean coast. This house was in a quiet, lovely location, peaceful, tranquil, excellent view. They were very practical activities laid out for everyone in the family to enjoy. I had communication with multiple people in your company and they were all very patient professional and informative. Everything went smoothly. The only surprise was that you guys undersold the home! It is everything as described and more.

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had with a vacation rental company. AvantStay completely ruined our family trip.
We booked a large property through AvantStay for a family trip to Nashville this August. We planned this months in advance for 7 people multiple generations, kids, the whole group. Everything was confirmed, paid for, and we were genuinely looking forward to it. Then, out of nowhere, about a week before our arrival, they canceled on us.
No real explanation other than another company took it over. No meaningful warning. The cancellation that left us scrambling to find new lodging for 7 people with almost no time left. In peak season. In Nashville. For a large group.
Trying to rebook last-minute for that many people is a nightmare. Availability was limited, prices were inflated, and we had to completely restructure the trip just to have a place to stay. What should have been a relaxed family vacation turned into days of stress, phone calls, comparing options, and worrying whether we’d even have a roof over our heads when we landed.
The timing was especially bad. One week out is not “flexible.” It’s the point where flights are already booked, plans with the kids are set, and people have arranged time off work. Canceling that late shows a complete lack of consideration for the guests who trusted them with their trip.
Communication after the cancellation was frustrating as well. It felt transactional and detached. There was very little sense that they understood the real impact of dumping a large group with almost no notice. A simple “sorry for the inconvenience” doesn’t cover the cost, the stress, or the fact that they forced us into a last-minute scramble.
We specifically chose AvantStay because they market themselves as a more professional, reliable alternative to the usual short-term rental lottery. That branding did not match the experience. When it mattered most, they failed. Canceling a confirmed booking this close to a multi-person family trip is unacceptable, and the fallout landed entirely on us.
I would strongly advise anyone planning a group trip especially with kids or a larger party to think twice before trusting AvantStay with something this important. The risk of a late cancellation is not worth it. We will not be using them again, and I’m warning others so they don’t end up in the same situation we did.
Extremely disappointed. Do better, or at least don’t leave families hanging a week before their trip.

Needed a place in Phoenix for two nights and wanted it to have a pool. So glad that the house had a pool since temperatures were a record high for Phoenix with it being 117 degrees. The pool was a life saver! The house was exactly as advertised and was so clean! We had a great time with family with the kitchen being so open to the family room all were able to play games and not miss out on any conversations!
Being close to the airport was great too.
I would definitely recommend AvantStay they were very attentive and responsive

Very accommodating, beautiful views, close to the beach, house was beautiful and so clean !

The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We cooked a lot of meals which made things very easy. Great view of the gulf as well. The proximity to the beach was incredible. It took us 2 mins to access the beach from the boardwalk. The A/C worked great! Would definitely stay there again.

This is our 5th year using AvantStay at the same house. The house is impeccable and always stocked with everything one could need. Communication is prompt, courteous, and always spot on.

The place was very nice: clean, comfortable, stuffed with everything needed for a like home experience. It was a very short walk to the beach, close to many restaurants and coffee shops. Safe and secure.

Easy to reserve! Good follow up before and during stay. Replaced worn outside cushions immediately, much appreciated.
The house was clean and nicely equipped, better than others we have rented. Well placed messages around the house. One conflict, on the frig it said checkout was at 10:00, your message said 11:00?

This is our second year booking through AvantStay and we like how AvantStay is always in touch with us and easy to communicate with. The people are very nice. We will continue to vacation through AvantStay in the future.
