Great multi family house to gather in
We hosted our 4 children and 7 grandchildren plus friends for my wife’s 60th birthday celebration. It was an amazing place to stay-so close to the beach, a pool to relax in and Charleston is only 40 minutes away. We will definitely be returning!!

Great communication
Avant- Stay communicated with us often leading up to, and throughout our vacation to ensure we were prepared and satisfied with our stay. When we needed extra pillows they promptly delivered them to our room.

Wonderful!
The home was exactly as described and perfect for two adults, two teens and a dog. Clean, comfortable and the hot tub was wonderful after a day of hiking.

2026 Stay at 3204 Marshall - Haven
We stayed at this property from May 31 – June 5, 2026, and unfortunately our experience did not match what is portrayed on the listing. The photos appear outdated, and the home is not in the same condition, which felt misleading.
Several items in the home were broken or unusable. The downstairs master shower door was missing, the microwave handle was broken, and one toilet made a loud noise and required servicing. The pool was filthy upon arrival and unusable until after two visits from pool cleaners. One of the cleaners was also rude and arrived unannounced.
Additionally, the freezer smelled strongly of fish, as if it had not been properly cleaned. The internet service was disrupted multiple times and required a repair visit. When we arrived, all trash bins were overflowing, which was an unpleasant first impression.
Given these issues, I cannot recommend this property at its current price.

Great trip
We enjoyed the Airbnb. It was close to food places. It was also close to other places like Broadway, Opry Mills, and Grand ole Opry. AvantStay was very easy to work with and did a nice job of communicating with us.

Rock N Reel was a spacious & beautiful home!! It had everything we needed & more. Not walking distance from beach but having a golf cart was more fun anyways. Younger kids enjoyed the pool. Can’t wait to come back!!!

⭐️ 1-Star Review: Extremely Poor Maintenance, Cleanliness, And Generic Response from Avantstay
I stayed at an AvantStay property from June 20–24, 2026, and unfortunately this was one of the most poorly maintained and least responsive rental experiences I’ve ever had. Upon arrival, I conducted a full inspection—as required under AvantStay’s own “Arrival Inspection” policy—and immediately discovered multiple safety, sanitation, and maintenance issues:
· Unsafe bed frame: The wooden bed slats were not secured to the rails, causing the mattress and box spring to collapse through the frame. I had to use my personal ratchet straps to hold the rails together so the mattress and box spring didn’t fall through.
· Bathroom issues: The toilet paper holder had fallen off the wall and was left sitting on the sink.
· Spare bathroom: Light fixture not fully functioning and the window had no curtain, eliminating privacy.
· Freezer left dirty: An opened gallon of ice cream and used Nordic Ice packs were left behind.
· Unwashed blanket: A blanket in the closet had visible brown and white stains.
· Dirty kitchen stove: Grease and food residue were still on the stovetop.
· Washer and dryer uncleaned: The washer lid was visibly dirty and the dryer lint trap was full.
· Outdoor safety hazard: An Adirondack chair had been “repaired” with a zip tie by a previous guest.
I reported all of these issues immediately via email and text, exactly as the guest manual instructs. AvantStay responded with a generic email apologizing for the issues but never sent a representative to see the damages or issues firsthand.
By the night before checkout, I still had not received a single call, an in-person visit from their management staff. For a company that advertises premium service and professional management, the complete lack of communication is unacceptable.
The cabin itself has potential and a beautiful layout, but the poor cleanliness, lack of maintenance, and total absence of customer support made this stay extremely disappointing. I expected far better from a professionally managed property. I hoped to upload photos of what I described but there isn't an option to do so.

Amazing for a group
The place was even more spacious and beautiful than the photos! Also the AC was amazing. It was only set to 70 but the whole place was practically chilly! I’ve stayed at other properties (not AvantStay) in the area and the AC always struggles to keep the place cool. Lastly the pool was literally like an entire hotel pool to yourself. It was giant and very clean.

My family and I had a great time! Communication was excellent, and despite the overbooking circumstance we ran into, they made the process very smooth. Fortunately, they caught the mistake in time and placed us in a different property, so we still met our check-in time.
