Having been persuaded to delete our original negative review of the Fulham branch following non-existent after sales service, as well as poor communication during the design phase, in order to wait for installation and give them a chance to redeem themselves, unbelievably they’ve managed to mess that up too.

We have a toilet that doesn’t fit, they ordered a shower screen that was the wrong size, we paid for 5 aurora lights and 2 turned up in different colours, the grouting wasn’t delivered, we paid for 4 transformers and 2 were delivered.

What makes it infinitely worse is that they do not respond to emails attempting to rectify the situation.

It’s a complete car crash - avoid at all costs.

Update:

Almost October now and we still don’t have the bathroom we designed, installed. Almost a year later!

We met Chris in Richmond who was tasked in helping us with some bathroom designs. He was prepared when we arrived and able to take us through the different options. Excellent knowledge of products and was able to suggest ideas that we had not though of before. The way in which designs are accessible via the app is excellent and would easily recommend Chris / BathroomsbyDesign to anyone struggling with design ideas! Thank you Chris.

Ben recently helped me with my bathroom renovation. From start to finish, working with him was really straight forward - he was always contactable, helpful and knowledgeable, offering really good advice. The programme they used to show the design of the bathroom was really useful and my bathroom now looks almost identical to it. The price was competitive and the turn around time was also very fast. I processed a return of one of the items (as I no longer needed it) and that was straight forward too. I also popped into the Fulham store on a day when Ben wasn't there and his colleague was also super helpful and very happy to help me out. Thanks Ben and BathroomsByDesign- I have already recommended you to a colleague!

We used BBD a few times and our experience are above our expectation. The staff from the Richmond branch are brilliant and very friendly. We felt very welcome. Not every time everything going to plan so we needed to contact the after-sales team where we found very professional people who understand our needs and sorted all our problems. This small company really puts their customers at the centre of all its decisions. For our next project, we will use them again.

I highly recommend Batroomsby Design, they are by far the most professional business I have worked with on my house re-decoration. I had 3 bathrooms designed and all parts and stock has been of a top quality and always on time. The advice and assistance I have received during the process has been excellent. We had few little issues to be dealt with and the help we received from Saida, Rubi and Chris is something we can't praise enough. This is what a true and excellent customer service is about. Thank you, it has been a real pleasure working with you!

We did 3 bathrooms and a cloakroom with these guys- we had excellent service from start to finish. I was particularly impressed by the Deliveries team, Maryam there really went an extra mile every time to ensure quick and efficient deliveries of so many items.

My main advise would be to know very well what products you would like, do your research in advance, otherwise you may be directed to buy what the company has highest margin on. They can source pretty much any brand and model, and you will get a really competitive price.

Absolutely awful and utterly unacceptable service. Do not bother with them. They should be ashamed of themselves. Despite having been in discussion with them for months about the design of our bathroom, two key items were missing from the delivery that are substantially holding up our bathroom build, so much so that it is preventing us from moving into our new home with a 1 week old baby. We have been chasing them for a months for a clear answer on when the missing items will be delivered and still we have had no response. I cannot warn people enough but stay away.

We visited Bathroom By Design’s showroom in Richmond with a view to renovating our second bathroom. At the showroom, we met Roxanne Voskuijl who became our consultant/designer. She was extremely helpful, collaborative, full of suggestions and never pushy. She was also very organised and efficient. The use of computer imagery at their showroom made the task fast and clear. Once our design had been agreed, it was loaded onto Bathroom by Design’s app on our ipad. The cost was always straightforward and our budget was easily managed.

Bathroom by Design recommended various contractors based on our location (this is a separate contract by the way). We chose Protea Home Developers, run by Henning Wessels, who had access to our design through the app. His employee was very neat and tidy which is quite difficult in a fairly confined space. The quality of the work and finish was outstanding, and I’m delighted with the result. It is now a pleasure to perform my ablutions in the morning/evening. As a retired President of a 5 star luxury hotel company involved in many hotel renovations, I do feel I am qualified to comment.

In conclusion, I cannot speak too highly of Bathroom by Design in Richmond. On the basis of our experience, we have now decided to renovate the ensuite bathroom next year.

Mohammad Khan was so helpful with my enquiries took time to answer all my questions and made buying a new toilet a very nice experience sending me over something different not saying no it’s not in stock

I purchased 2 bathrooms from the Richmond branch nearly 2 years ago. The bathrooms all had 5-15year manufacturers warranty and the cartridges had 12 months.
Chris from the sales department suggested I speak to customer services and reminded me that the item I had an issue with may be under warranty - I didn't even think that this might be the case
Saman in customer service checked on the item and eventhough the item I needed had a 12 month warranty offered to provide it FOC and despatch next day by courier. When she found that it was out of stock and on backorder - she offered to remove the cartridge I needed from the twin outlet they had in stock and supply me with that.

Mohammad in after sale from Bathroom by Design is a delight to deal with. Sadly we had a few issues, a few damaged items first time it was delivered. I phoned up and he was so helpful, polite and of course told me to email with picture. We then had many emails exchanges. Items didn't get delivered (couriers struggle to find us), each time we spoke he was always so friendly, nice, apologetic for the problems we had. Sadly we had to wait 2months for some glass to come, instead of me having to email each time, Mohammad emailed me first and had already chased the supplier. Even with a few broken items we had such a good experience. I would 100% recommend Bathroom By Design to anyone. The design service was brilliant (we went to Richmond and had Stuart). The only thing I would say just make sure you check your products when they arrive, we always did and thats why everything was always sorted so quickly. Only the glass took a long time as it was out of stoke.

Absolutely fantastic service and products. We purchased our second bathroom with the assistance of Stuart Wetherall who was amazing. Stuart’s vision and execution was spot on once again and he created a bathroom which suited our family needs and desires and no doubt has added significant value to our home. When we needed to make slight adjustments to the design BBD had a ‘no problem’ attitude with exchanges and yet still provided us with discounted and quality products. Thank you so much for provided us with a seamless service in the midst of our stressful refurb. We will not hesitate to recommend your services.

i found I must message you to praise the team, in particular Hish, Rubi and Mohammad. We purchased 3 bathrooms from them and are so pleased with the plans Hish did for us. I know things don't always go right in the bathroom business, having worked in it for 25years myself, but the after sales service from Mohammad and Rubi was brilliant, credit to their customer relations. When I had occasions to visit their warehouse the helpfulness of the team there was amazing.
I will highly recommend you in the future. Please pass on my thanks to the above-mentioned staff.

Bathrooms By Design designed and supplied a new bathroom for me a couple of years ago. I've just had a problem with the thermostatic valve in the shower control. Saida was brilliant - she worked out the valve was out of guarantee, and new parts would take 3 months - but then proactively found a free replacement for me from an in-stock unit. Problem resolved in 24 hours. Simply brilliant service. Many thanks!

Great aftersales customer service from Mohammad at Bathrooms by design when a part in one of our bathrooms needed replacing .We were thrilled with the design of our bathrooms last year but how reassuring to know that if things go wrong the team will be able to locate the past order and reorder/ replace parts as needed quickly and efficiently!
