Pretty decent experience. Couldn’t get a quicker test though - suppose it could be any issues

I have just booked my crash course yesterday and I have spoken with Sarah a few times before hand to make sure it what I need to pass my test, they got me an instructor within 24 hours of my booking, the booking and everything has been amazing and she been lovely thank you.

Very user friendly and simple to understand. Took all of the stress if booking tests and lessons away.

Everything was organised really well, my instructor Kristine was so wonderful and communication was perfect.

Fantastic website to book driving lessons. I’ve been taking lessons since January and passed yesterday in Aberdeen. The site books everything for you and you get to pick your theory test times, they send messages to keep you updated too. I was mainly speaking to Sarah online in the site and she helped me with any questions during different stages. My instructor Emmanuel put in a lot of hours to help me on my journey. He was always on time, friendly and always tailored lessons to help boost my confidence and having my feelings and opinions considered at all times. He made the learning experience stress free, easy and was flexible booking me in around his schedule to suit myself. I can’t thank him enough for getting me to pass!!

We chose Book Instructor because the service was marketed as offering structured support, reduced stress, fast-tracked practical tests, and guidance throughout the driving test process. Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite.

From the beginning, I found myself repeatedly chasing updates regarding earlier practical test dates after my daughter passed her theory test in October. Despite the “fast-track” element being heavily promoted, no earlier test was ever secured and communication was minimal unless I chased for updates myself.

Over the following months, my daughter continued lessons largely to maintain her confidence and familiarity in her instructor’s vehicle ahead of her practical test.

The situation became significantly worse in the lead-up to her driving test when we discovered her instructor was abroad with no clear arrangements confirmed regarding lessons, vehicle availability, or test-day support. This resulted in days of uncertainty and stress immediately before her test.

Both myself and my daughter then received numerous messages from the instructor and third parties which I felt were inappropriate in tone and, at times, intimidating for a young learner driver already anxious ahead of her test.

Rather than reducing stress, the situation became something we were left managing ourselves. We had to chase communication, clarify arrangements, contact replacement instructors, and ultimately make the decision for my daughter to take her test in her own car because we no longer had confidence in the arrangements being put in place.

I will say that once the matter reached the complaints team, the final response was more professional and transparent, and partial refunds were offered. However, this only came after considerable distress and escalation.

Most importantly, my daughter was left feeling unsupported and anxious during what should have been an exciting milestone.

Thankfully, despite the circumstances, she passed her test with only one minor fault and received very positive feedback from the examiner regarding her driving.

Based on our experience, I do not feel the service delivered reflected the premium pricing or the level of support advertised.

So I booked with them 1st October and when I booked it said "We guarantee a test slot in December", so I paid the £180 thinking brilliant I will get my test slot then they will connect me with an intensive instructor. Roll on 2 days later I have a slot for March. A date I could have booked myself. I contacted them saying that when I booked i was told it would be a test in December, they responded saying it would be fine they have a cancellation scanner and I would be booked onto one sooner. It gets to December, no test. I contact them again. Told it would still be sooner than March. Was it? Of course not. My test was March. I paid £180 for something worth £60. More fool me. Don't be as stupid as I am and trust somewhere will actually do what they say they will. Rip off merchants.

The initial booking was made quite quickly and when an earlier spot opened up the booking was changed automatically. However, I was unable to take my test on the revised spot and requested to cancel. Once it had been cancelled, it took 2 months of chasing book instructor to book a test afterwards.

The instructor that they had found me (Bashir) was phenomenal and coached me to be able to pass my test first time

They did fine getting us an instructor. And are relatively quick to respond to written queries.
However phone line customer service seems nonexistent once you’re registered, and they have no magic access to DSLA test availability. You can end up at the back of a 6 month queue.
The whole process of getting your 1st full license will likely take way longer - and cost more - than you’d planned, even without retakes.

They connected me with an instructor quickly and where able to get my test moved forward from August to April.

Specifically want to mention about the instructor “Bubacarr Bojang” who is an amazing and very skillfull instructor
He helped alot to prepare for the driving practice test
He has got years of experience of driving and teaching the learners.Highly recommended!
