Careem plus is a joke
I was charged almost twice the agreed fare, and despite 4 days of messages, I still haven’t received a refund. My Careem wallet balance also disappeared without explanation, and I was told that wallet credits can only be used if paying by cash, which makes no sense.
If you need reliable transport in the Middle East, I would recommend using Uber or Jeeny instead.

The worst kind of service ever!
The worst kind of service ever!! Believe me I’ve lived in Europe, Africa and now in the uae. I’ve never experienced such a poor service.
A while ago I paid for home spa which I didn’t get and no refunds were made despite contacting Careem. Today the 11th/11-2025 I booked a ride from Dubai hospital to Sharjac. The first driver was about 5 mins away he messaged me saying “ hi cancel the ride “ I booked a second one and a third one they both cancelled on me. I called the customer service and all I took out of that conversation was “ sorry mum” x 10 with no solution to the issue. I hang up on him. Just letting you know Careem is very unreliable in many of their services. Btw. Lat Thursday booked a ride from same location to Sharjac 6 cancellations after each other it was from a friends account. Horrible service.

I am writing to express my frustration regarding a very disappointing experience with my recent food order. I waited for one hour and a half, only to receive a notification stating that my order was “delivered” — yet nothing was delivered to me.
This is extremely unacceptable, especially because this is not the first time. It has now happened three times in a row:
• Either my order gets cancelled without explanation,
• Or it is marked as delivered even though I never receive it,
• And in all cases, no refund is issued.
I tried contacting the delivery driver multiple times through phone calls and WhatsApp messages, but he never responded. I also contacted customer service, but all I received were repeated apologies with no real help or solution. Unfortunately, saying “sorry” does not resolve the problem or address the repeated inconvenience I am facing.
It is early morning, I am hungry, I paid for my food, and I expect to either receive my order or get a full refund. This situation is extremely frustrating,

Transferred money- AED 13,000 on 03.12.25 but not credited to the beneficiary bank & deducted from UAE bank.
Careem deducted the amount from my UAE bank but not credited to Indian bank since 5 days going. They are doing the transfer through Lulu money exchange, but now several times I tried to Careem customer support, and they are telling the same repeated & generic statement without taking accountability. Even Lulu money exchange said that it is Careem responsibility to send that money. Careem is saying our team is working on it but no progress since 5 days, even provided wrong UTR number which is basically TRN number. Actual UTR number they are not giving me to track the amount by Indian bank and saying the generic answer casually. Hectic & horrible experience with Careem & Lulu exchange. Don't trust them to send the big or small amount. They are playing with customer trust. No progress, no feed back, deducted from my UAE bank but not credited to the Indian bank. I have provided the bank statement on the same day also......Please avoid this money apps further.

After posting in several forum then on 11.12.25 Careem has cancelled that transaction finally & back to that AED 13,000 to my UAE account. But truly their customer support people are not supportive at all & giving always generic reply while asking. No proper reply or responsible answer which can mitigate customer's panic or retain the trust on them.
Suggest changing the customer support team immediately for UAE to survive in the market in future.
For this transfer Lulu exchange was the partner of Careem, Lulu should have some customer support team to track the fund, while calling to Lulu customer care, they were telling to contact the Careem only where I had Lulu exchange payment receipt. Should have some accountably & separate support team for partners money transaction dispute handling.

Day Pass? More Like a Day-Long Scam
It’s honestly impressive how consistently poor the customer service is. First, they manage to accidentally scam you when you try to purchase a day pass, and then, in a truly remarkable display of efficiency, they make sure you can’t even pay the remaining amount.
The best part? You end up unable to use the one-day pass at all, and they still won’t bother responding, almost like they’re waiting for it to expire. Truly outstanding service.

I am extremely disappointed with Careem Pay. On November 30th, I transferred AED 3,000 to my Indian bank account, and even after a full week, I have still not received the amount. There has been no proper update, no response, and absolutely no resolution from the Careem team.
Every single day, I am forced to follow up repeatedly, provide my bank statements, and chase them for answers. Their customer support is unresponsive, slow, and careless. Each time a different Careem Care executive answers the call only to repeat the same scripted responses—they have no idea where my money is, and no urgency to resolve the issue.
This is the worst experience I have ever had with any financial service. Careem Pay’s handling of customers’ money is irresponsible and unacceptable. For a company dealing with people’s hard-earned money, this level of negligence is shocking.
If you value your money and peace of mind, think twice before trusting Careem Pay.

Absolute joke of a company! Never trust them to deliver your food on time when you are late to work or sick! Taxis are 1.5 times higher during peak hours and most of the taxi drivers don't know how to follow maps. All you get from the agents is we had technical error in the system and we are sorry. Anyway I did write to you 2 days ago on Instagram and you answered me that my request is under study and that you will revert to me without precising when.
Does it take a management meeting to refund a client who could not use your services since you are not present in Oman or in any country he goes to (and eho is also offering you the possibility to credit the amount on someonr else who can use your services in a country you are present in)
Please understand the above and how disapointing it can be. It is for sure a loose loose attitude instead of an easy proper and ethical reaction

I don't recommend using Careem food, my experience was really bad. Don't try Restourant's you don't know as they will not refund you more than 12 Dhs. Don't waste your money. They are listing any restaurant even if it’s scam restaurant

Careem Pay Is Holding My Money Hostage – No Correct UTR, No Support, Zero Accountability
I am absolutely shocked at the level of incompetence and negligence shown by Careem Pay.
On 27 November 2025, I transferred AED 4,600 to my NRE account in India. It is a simple international transfer that should have been completed in a reasonable time. But today, the money is STILL missing — not a single trace of it.
What makes this even worse is how Careem support is handling the issue. Every time I raise a complaint, they CLOSE it without solving anything. They keep sending me a UTR number which is NOT EVEN THE SAME as the UTR shown inside their own app. How can a financial service provider give two different UTR numbers for the same transaction?
Because of their internal mess, my bank in India cannot trace the funds. And Careem? They have zero urgency, zero responsibility, and clearly zero understanding of how serious this is. Till now, they have failed to provide the correct UTR or any valid proof of successful transfer.
This is not just poor service — this is unacceptable, unprofessional, and borderline fraudulent behavior. A company handling people’s money must show accuracy and transparency, not hide behind automated replies and close complaints without resolution.
If you care about your hard-earned money, think twice before trusting Careem Pay. Their system is unreliable, their support team is clueless, and their attitude toward customers is absolutely disappointing.
I have already posted this issue on X, Reddit, and LinkedIn, and even there, Careem only gives the same generic, copy-paste replies as their customer care team. No real investigation, no correct UTR, no action. Just scripted responses repeated across platforms.

AED 15,000 remittance marked “completed” but never received — no MT103, no resolution
I’m sharing this to warn others about my Careem Pay “Send Abroad” experience. On 27 Oct 2025, I sent AED 15,000 to India through Careem Pay. The app shows the transfer as Completed, and provides a UTR, but the beneficiary’s bank never received the funds.
For weeks I followed up via in-app support. I shared everything requested: transfer invoice/receipt, the beneficiary bank statement showing no credit, and full chat history. Despite this, support kept sending the same templated responses like “we’re following up with the recipient bank” and “we’re working on it.” I repeatedly asked for the MT103/SWIFT confirmation so my bank could trace the transfer, but they never provided it.
This has been an extremely frustrating and unprofessional support experience. My money has been stuck with no clear timeline, no proof of transfer, and no meaningful update. I’m now forced to escalate through consumer protection to seek a refund and proper investigation.
If you’re considering Careem Pay for remittances, be cautious — a “completed” status does not necessarily mean your recipient gets the money, and getting support or an MT103 may be impossible.
