Terrible Experience

Terrible Experience – Do Not Recommend!
I ordered food that never got delivered. Later I was told the driver supposedly left it outside on the ground, but I was never contacted or notified. When I reached out for help, customer service was awful — I spoke to both an agent and a manager, and neither helped at all. Even after reaching out through the app, they kept sending the same copied message over and over without actually addressing the issue. This app feels like a total scam.

CAREEM IS THE WORST TRANSPORTATION TAXI. The drivers are literally too lazy and they keep canceling the booking, so I end up using uber. Shame it’s their job they couldn’t even work with it and always want easy life

Cancelled Delivery with No Refund

One of the worst companies in the UAE, with horrible Customer Support. I have made an order, and cancelled as soon as I received the order (meaning less than a minute) before the restaurant accepted my order. Ive been fully charged and Careems answer was that the restaurant already started preparing my food.
Its a scam, they should have a proof of me cancelling my orders less than less than a minute and there is no way the restaurant started preparing my order.
Also horrible client communication, if my order cant be cancelled and I have to pay for it, then where is my food? Ive never received anything.
I cancelled my plus subscription and wont be using Careem ever again.

Abused, overcharged and not refunded

I booked a ride on October 29th. I paid the driver 33 aed by card at the end of the ride. But later on they charged me again 30aed for the same ride. I’ve contacted the customer service countless Times but they don’t want to refund me. They abuse their customers so use Careem at your own risk

Had to involve police now

Had to involve police now. Ripped off twice in 1 day. Captains not picking me up and starting ride.
I get charged and captain ignores all calls.
Then careem box completes trip but doesn’t actually deliver anything.
This is illegal activity in uae

Excessively late deliveries

Too often Careem have taken over an hour to deliver what should be fast food. I’m switching to Talabat and saving my money by cancelling my Careem membership.

⭐️ 1 Star Review – Very Disappointed

I had a very bad experience with Careem. I set the correct location for my mother, which is only 5 minutes away from my house, but the app changed the location automatically. Then they tried to charge me almost double for a two-way trip! This is not fair at all. The company makes people pay extra money because of their app mistakes and provides very poor service. I don’t recommend Careem — they need to fix their system and be more honest with customers.

I’m beyond frustrated with Careem’s customer service. I had two transactions where I never received my refund, even after repeatedly following up. One agent told me the issue was resolved and that I’d receive a callback — instead, they just closed my case without any action!
I’ve shared all the proof and screenshots multiple times, yet nothing gets done. It’s been weeks, and I still don’t have my money back. The lack of accountability and transparency is shocking for a company of this size.
Careem seriously needs to fix its refund and support system. As a long-time customer, I’ve completely lost trust in their service — there’s zero follow-up, zero urgency, and zero responsibility.

WHEN WE GOT OFF MY WIFE PAID THE DRIVER PLUS TIP THINKING THE RIDE WAS NOT PAID YET. THE DRIVER DID NOT SAY ANYTHING AND ACCEPTED THE PAYMENT - HIM KNOWING RIDE WAS PAID ALREADY. WHEN WE REALIZED THIS, WE REPORTED IT TO THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE HOPING THEY WILL REPRIMAND THE DRIVER. BUT NO THEY MARKED THE COMPLAIN RESOLVE AND JUST SAID NO REFUND. THAT'S IT FOR THEM. WE DIDN'T ASK FOR REFUND BUT ACCOUNTABILITY AND OBVIOUSLY THEY DON'T CARE AS LONG AS THEY GET PAID. I BET IT'S ANOTHER STORY IF TABLES ARE TURNED! NEVER AGAIN FOR CAREEM! THE WORSE!!!!!!!!

Very bad service in my UAE Life !
Careem Food Delivery for their extremely poor service and failure to deliver my order.

On27-10-2025, I placed a food order through the Careem app at 10:13 PM. The expected delivery time was between 10:55 PM and 11:05 PM, but the order was not delivered even by 11:50 PM. I waited for more than one and a half hours with my small children hungry and waiting for food.

When I contacted Careem customer service, the representative simply asked me if I wanted to cancel the order instead of resolving the issue. This response was unprofessional and showed no concern for the inconvenience caused. Despite the long delay and cancellation, I have not yet received a refund for the amount paid.

This experience has caused significant inconvenience and frustration.

The worst customer service ever I have…

The worst customer service ever I have experienced in Dubai. I have been living in Dubai since 2015 and the most time killing service is Careem. Back to. Back delivery failure, abusive drivers. Unpredictable and unprofessional service. There are many dates but 26th October is the worst. And the funny part is the customers should call them by hitting the option "Help" weird!!!

NO REFUND

Hi,
Please note I have booked the Ride to Deira from Emirates Grand Hotel Car# L83561 driver name Jamshaid Mumtaz Hussain . The total bill is AED 89 I gave him USD 100 he took all and didn't return any refund. The worst part is that there is no direct call center who can register my complaint.
Kindly look into it & arrange necessary refund

The standard has completely dropped off…

The standard has completely dropped off over the past year. Late deliveries, rude attitudes from some drivers, poor customer service and always the same scripted responses, grouping orders in with other people's ones so that you have to wait even longer to receive your order. Making a complaint doesn't make a difference. I'll be cancelling my membership and switching to another app.

Zero stars is more accurate.
Two drivers failed to pick me up while both of them were near and there was no traffic. 30 minutes each driver without answering my calls and messages. One hour delay in picking me up despite there was no traffic. The customer support told me that since I got my money back the issue was resolved. The first driver was AWOL after 30 minutes the second driver had the nerve after 28 minutes to tell me to wait another 15 minutes to pick me up (he was supposedly 3 minutes away when he was assigned the ride).
If you want to actually go somewhere, then by all means do not use careem. I am deleting the app as this is not the first time I had drivers not showing up. They must have done something horrible to their "captains" as they were not as terrible in the previous years.

I have worst experience with careem…

I have worst experience with careem hala taxi. Hala Taxi driver cancelled my ride.I booked the ride three times and all my booking got cancelled and three times three different charges deducted. Yet issue is not resolved and I did not get any refund. Never use careem hala taxi ever again.

What happened to Careem app??

What happened to Careem app??? The app was updated and now it is a disaster. Every Monday to Friday, i have issue with school rides. And I am Not even exaggerating. But it is worst. Today, i cannot book a school ride however normal ride is working which means i need to book it and pay!!! So what is the point of registering to School rides??? . And the call centre which says we are priority customer cannot even assist but only to say sorry. THERE IS NO RESOLUTION FOR ALL THE ISSUES I HAVE WITH CAREEM RIDES. It is very stressful, every day and how can i finish my school rides if the app is not allowing me to book. Please fix your app and rules. You used to be soo good.

If I could give CAREEM customer service a lower rating I would. Useless team, paid for + service and they mess up every order I place, I don’t get free delivery as advertised and then when I try to resolve it with them, they say they can’t refund the advance payment of 49AED
