This has been a life saver. I love that you can choose to deposit on the card or add a bank account to it to send to. Once it is set up it is super easy to use.

They do not reply to chats. When and if they ever reply to your email they never answer the question. Pitiful customer service!

This is the worst company ever
This is the worst company ever. They suspended my account in which I pay rent with and haven’t responded to me in a week. There is no way nobody is available to help for a whole week. This is ridiculous

Nearly 3 years and in totally satisfied!
I’ve been using this service for almost 3 years as a recipient and for almost two years as a sender for the company I work for. I haven’t had any issues. The only problems my customers have faced are user error: payment emails going to spam, entering information incorrectly, etc. The customer service has been excellent, too. It seems the majority of these bad reviews are surrounding one person's issue. Not really a fair look at the service as a whole.

BS excuses and constant delays in receiving money
My customer has paid me using these guys, I'm a contractor, on 4 occasions now. Each time it's taken longer for the money to be deposited toy bank account. The last time it took two weeks from date of check being sent. Was advised it was a "glitch" in the system they had to fix and hoped to have payment to me that day, then took 4 days to see it still. This time I was given a date of May 27 for funds to hit my account. I just looked to see that it has now been pushed back to June 1st now. Still waiting for the excuse as to why this is happening yet again. Tried calling the number given on the multiple other complaints here on this site and the phone rings and ends with an answering machine that doesn't even state that the number/line belongs to Checkbook IO. I'm about to contact a lawyer about this as these delays are keeping me from recouping money spent on material as well as labor from jobs completed.

NOT Secure
Absolutely the worst company I've worked with in a long time. I used their services for payments of commissions earned by my subcontractors. Well apparently the funds went missing between Checkbook.io and my contractors account. They accept zero responsibility saying the account was hacked and account numbers were changed? Shouldn't they have security measures in place to prevent funds this large being taken? Read their fine print which they claim releases them from any liability of missing funds. Well who else would be at fault. I wish I knew this could happen before I used their service. I thought the funds would securely be delivered to the vendors I paid but now I am being told that they are most of the time but there are instances where it can be redirected. Apparently it doesn't happen often but I'm not the first case and I won't be the last.

Checkbook fully understands and shares your frustration. Unfortunately, your agent's private email was externally compromised, separately and outside of Checkbook. No compromise occurred on our side. Checkbook T&C conditions clearly state that Checkbook will not be responsible for accounts compromised on sites external to Checkbook. Yet, our staff went above and beyond to assist in attempting to recover your agent's funds, including the leveraging of our bank resources.

No communication after getting bank info
This company is hard to pin down due to lack of exposure on review sites, except for one that indicates it's a scam. While I haven't been scammed, it does seem like a shady business. I was forwarded to its services when trying to make an online purchase. I signed up and opted to "manually verify" my bank info with the account numbers instead of providing my online banking credentials. While waiting and having my online order timed out. I tried to login here to see what was going on and my account was terminated without any notice. There's no answer from live chat or support. Seems like they harvest banking information.
