Bad service
I was expecting a package from a company in the same State (Victoria). Tracking showed the package was sorted at a facility about an hour away from me and was expected to arrive by yesterday. Today my package is in Western Australia and now not expected to arrive for a whole week!! No apology from Aus Post in the app. Impossible to contact Australia Post. Not impressed!
To add salt to the wound, the package which began with “on time”, then changed to “delayed “ , now says it is “on time” to be delivered from WA to Victoria…..a week late!!!

I have received a parcel via Parcel collect, were the parcel is sent and held at the post office. I contacted the post office via their online form about my parcel once it had arrived. I have sent 3 messages because they keep getting ignored, I got an automated reply and one saying case closed! So they dont respond to my message dont give me any answers yet say case closed! disgusting and very typical of a government service the worst of the worst.

I had a parcel delivered by Trent who works for Australia Post he did a lovely thing today I have injury and I can't walk alot so I asked would take out by bins he yes with no hesitation thats what I call great service
Registered Post is a joke
Posted twice now - Registered post - with QCAT documents requesting fence repairs. 2 lots 2 documents, out of which 1 was delivered. The location was misunderstood and sent to the Sunshine Coast, when South side address was specified. 1/4 documents arrived sent, late, and invalidates the date requirement.
Since privatisation, this carriage service has not only went down the gurgler, but also suffered an identity crisis. Why would you be able to deliver mail, when only parcels are sent? What an absolute disgrace. I can't walk to the location & prove the service of a letter, but since it never gets delivered, the law shall not apply.
DELIVERED TO THE WRONG ADDRESS AGAIN
I have had parcels delivered by Australia post for as long as I can remember and have never had any problems at all and I shop a lot. I have recently moved to Bahrs Scrub and have been here for around 2 months now and Australia post has delivered 2 of my parcels to 2 different addresses and it’s quite distressing and makes me anxious. Please hire posties who can read English because this is not ok, I’m spending my days off work on the phone trying to get through to Australia post and writing this review and contacting via email and I shouldn’t have to. Blows my mind that people can’t do a simple job properly like honestly lol crazy.
Bad services throughout
Bad services throughout! Why this company even exist in the first place makes me wonder till now.
Pathetic
Pathetic! Once again Australia post is showing it is a failing company. Outsource help centres overseas is just the start. So much for keeping our friends and family employed it goes elsewhere with OUR MONEY! The Ingham post office is absolutely hopeless! No delivery on Monday unless it's express or a business. Constant delays from Townsville to Ingham resulting in three days delay form expected time of delivery. Pathetic!!! High turn over of actual drivers here which speaks volumes into how professional they really are. Australia post should be called whenever we feel like post. The delivery service is pathetic and slow!!! Three days to move less than 100km. Wake up Australia post and do the job WE pay you to do!!! It's public money not yours you clowns
Wine sent from Yarra Valley to…
Wine sent from Yarra Valley to Melbourne. Melbourne to Melbourne, due today some how late because It's on it's way too Brisbane?? What the actual f is going on with AusPost.
Australia Post lost my parcel, then tried to screw me
Australia Post lost the parcel I sent. The tracking simply says "Delayed" for almost 2 months. I opened a case and they replied the next day saying that it was lost. Then no more communication for 3 weeks despite my chasing them several times. Then they sent me an email saying that my name, email, and phone number do not match the sender's and that they will not process the case. I am an ebay seller and the name of the sender is a company name, but fair enough points with the email and phone number. So I opened another case for the item using the correct email address and phone number, and a note saying that the sender is a company and I gave the company name. After the first automatic receipt acknowledgement, there was no more reply for another 3 weeks. Then they sent me an email saying that the sender's name does not match my name and that they will not process the case.
I lodged a complaint with the postal ombudsman after that and 2 days later I received an email from Australia Post saying that I was eligible for a refund of $72. My claim was for $87 as that was the sale price plus postage, invoices and screenshots were sent to them on more than one occasion. I don't know how they worked out the $72, I suspect it was out of spite. I took it to end the dispute.
Simply not good enough, Australia Post!
TOO LAZY TO DELIVER A PARCEL
There is this trend in crap service where a postal carrier takes a picture of where they might have left a parcel had they brought it with them, whoops, I mean had they not been terrified of a gate. Paying a premium for service and having to practically go get the thing yourself, is called being ripped off. They have signs everywhere in post offices saying that they need customers to be civil. You know what keeps customers civil? ACTUAL SERVICE. That works for everyone else. Privatising the postal service might be the dumbest piece of legislation in Australia, followed closely with the truck doing 20 in a 70 zone. The problem with private service is that a federal standard cannot be employed here. Quality control is a far away dream. But this taking a picture of your gate or whatnot and telling you why you need to take half an hour to do THEIR job, sucks.
IMPROVED LOGISTICS WOULD SAVE TIME
The packages take forever to arrive and little wonder since the packages zigzag all over the country before finally arriving at the doorstep. Whomever is in charge of logistics must be cross-eyed.
Lazy Delivery
The delivery driver rang the bell, took a photo, then left.
When I came downstairs, He was alreay gone.
Contacted customer service, they refused to redeliver.
Dogwater customer service
Dogwater customer service. Like talking to a brick wall.
The post office said my parcel would…
The post office said my parcel would arrive today, and I’ve been stuck at home for 5 hours waiting for it. They didn’t even give me a delivery time—just said it would arrive today. I’ve been waiting for my package for 5 hours now. It’s really frustrating.
Worst delivery service
Worst delivery service! Waiting for a standard parcel from Melbourne to Sydney which should take 2 business days. When checking the tracking using AUSPOST, the parcel has been shipped to Brisbane due to either a mis-scanned or sorting error. Some constructive feedback and to improve customer service I would suggest using human intervention in situ rather than solely relying on digital technology to identify errors during sorting.
Inefficient, money wasting service
I sent a self addressed satchel to a motel where I had left an item I wished returned to me. Staff promptly sent the item, but 10 days later called me to say the package had been returned to them with an Australia Post sticker saying it could not be delivered- amazing since the address was for Parcel Collect at my local post office.
I sent a second, expensive satchel with the same address on it and this time it was delivered successfully.
Extra time, extra cost and no explanation could be given as to why.
Not impressed Australia Post
EMS - Extremely Mediocre Service
Useless - an outbound EMS parcel stuck at Melbourne Airport for days now. Has cleared export customs so no problems there but has not left Australia. EMS .... Extremely Mediocre Service ?
AUSTRALIA POST DRIVER
Today on the 28/8/26, I had an extremely disturbing and unpleasant encounter with one of your Aust Post drivers. He was initially on the mobile phone to someone speaking and laughing when this incident took placeat approx.1:15 pm on Doncaster Rd North Balwyn in MELBOURNE.
I can describe this driver as being of Indian or Sri Lankan descent, wearing a red cap:
He was in an AUST POST TOYOTA VAN
VICTORIAN REGISTRATION #
It really is not a matter about the " road rules " in this instance.
I realize that I also as a driver in Victoria or anywhere for the record, have to abide by the rules of the law.
However, when another person is ON HIS MOBILE PHONE, LAUGHING, TALKING and CARRYING ON like the proverbial, I, like many many other people who have a duty of care AND responsibility, whilst behind the wheel of a car.
I think for someone to get out of the van, come over to me and start berating AND yelling at me" What do you think you are doing? You made a u turn!! You cannot make a u turn!! You're wrong !! "
This driver immediately got out of his van when I slammed on my horn as we were driving on Doncaster Rd because he DELIBERATELY SLAMMED ON HIS BRAKES: causing immediate danger to my vehicle and possible danger to other road users. He started and continued to berate me very loudly and very violently in my face: he got into my face and my personal physical space when I stood up to him.
This driver was extremely intimidating, loud and verbally abusive to me. I stood my ground when he decided to tell me how to drive on the roads and that I should not have made a U TURN: He said angrily and loudly: " You are not allowed to make U turns Are you stupid? What are you doing? "
When all I wanted this driver to do was to initially move up a little so I could get behind his vehicle as vehicles were queuing behind me. Other drivers were courteous enough to allow me the space to move up., We stood there arguing when he then after this initial altercation: decided to get back into his vehicle. I walked back to my car when I then immediately tapped the side of the van very slightly. He then again got out and stated that I had damaged the side of the van and made a dent which was totally untrue. He immediately took his cracked and damaged phone out immediately when there was no need to:
He was trying to take a video recording of the so called " damage" to which I took offence to at which I immediately told him so. I then immediately took his phone out of his hand and held it and asked him that if he wants to record anything I was not agreeing him to do so. He demanded continually to give his phone back He threatened to call the police on me. I told him he was extremely loud, verbally abusive and intimidating and that I was going to report him to AUST POST.
After more verbal arguments: I tossed his already cracked and damaged phone onto his passenger seat. I then went back to retrieve my phone and took his image and the registration.
Unjustifiable delay in delivery of…
Unjustifiable delay in delivery of international registered post to India.
Posted at Midland, WA on 18/08/2026 at 0900.
It reached Perth airport WA only on 26/08/2026, hasn't reached addressee even after 18 days of posting, and Auspost says it is " still within standard delivery times".
Maybe- but how can you justify 9 days to travel less than 15Kms- from Midland WA to Perth Airport??
