Once again let down by Australia Post
Once again, let down by Australia Post. Do yourself a favour and send ANYTHING you can via courier and avoid Australia Post. They took $47 to Internationally express post important original documents. It is 6 days since my documents arrived in London bound for Ireland and they have not budged since! It is imperative they arrive BEFORE the birth of twins due any day. If Australia Post cannot guarantee that UK handling will be efficient then send them on a direct flight from Singapore instead of via london! Standard documents take 5 to 10 business days with express apparently “ much faster”. They take the money for express and do NOTHING to ensure priority delivery. Well here we are at seven days and the documents we paid extra for have not arrived. Shame on you australia Post yet again! Your poor reviews are testament to your poor customer service … which is nonexistent! Please DO NOT charge poor customers and deliver nothing in return.
absolute rubbish
absolute rubbish. no knock on the door and email 'attempted delivery' - I caught such behaviour red handed
Poor delivery service
Australia Post has so far proven to be unwilling to attempt to deliver parcels, and rather chooses to leave a card for you to pick up. Even for parcels not requiring a signature. Lazy.
Getting worse by the day

Australia Post delivery drivers love to…
Australia Post delivery drivers love to steal packages from by taking a photo of your package left next to a garbage bin nowhere near your home. three people including a supervisor looked at a satellite 🛰️ image at your property and all three agreed that the illegal immigrate did leave the parcel at in a unsafe place and didn’t follow company policy.. what did Australia Post do. NOTHING!!
not a thing.. what a disgusting bunch of thieves are Australia Post to condone this behaviour from illegal immigrates working at their company. no explanation no refund no apology. just like the country Australia 🇦🇺 Post allows peoples packages to go missing.
while their delivery drivers are making money off your missing package on their own website selling your package to make more money for themselves cause australia 🇦🇺 post pays them low wages.
if any business in australia 🇦🇺 who used Australia 🇦🇺 Post as their main delivery service. Change services straightaway i’m just a customer who’s been ripped off by this company losing 2 packages valued of $250 dollars.
these drivers are stealing packages and selling your package parcels on their own website making money off your parcels while Supervisor & managers of Australia post ripping the rewards.
i’m not the only one who’s had this issue with this business and it will continue to happen cause they are all involved in the hustle. DO NOT TRUST AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺 POST THEY CONDONE STEALING.

Can anyone beat this tracking journey For a satchel.?
Eleven different “assistants” were involved.
Auspost refuses $10-$20 compensation for cost of two mislaid/lost satchel costs.
Just deliver the parcel to the address…
Just deliver the parcel to the address on the envelope - photo useless not my house - complain - deathly silence - total incompetence and mismanagement - drivers can’t read numbers obviously or perhaps English
Late International Delivery
Supposed to come on the 9th, now it says Friday the 14th is the most likely it will come, this is of course a international delivery from Hong Kong, but really, it take you a week and a half to just get it from Hong Kong to Australia.

I am their biggest fan and nobody paid me to write this review. I like them most because they help me relax and nothing about Sydney makes me relax. It's the most stressful place of all time. Love Love Hugs etc etc etc....stamp
Don’t trust Australia post
I could not even recommend a 1 star review. Very poor communication and when you try to call them, they are always apparently experiencing peak calls anytime of the day. They hey do not abide by any of their time frames. I cannot trust an item will actually make the destination in a reasonable timeframe if it makes it at all. Would never trust Australia post to deliver anything of value or importance. If it wasn’t a government funded corporation it would not last and would be insolvent
WORST Customer Service I have dealt with!!!
I am absolutely furious with the abysmal standard of customer care provided by Australia Post, both on their live chat platform and across local retail outlets.
I purchased a high-value gift on eBay that legally requires an upfront stop at the eBay Newington NSW Authenticator Hub before it can be cleared for final delivery to me. Due to an accidental click in my MyPost app, a premature redirection request to Queensland was mistakenly triggered in the automated system, completely bypassing this critical authentication milestone.
When trying to urgently contact support to reverse this simple error before the parcel left Sydney, I was met with total operational incompetence. It is clear that Australia Post has entirely outsourced its support network to staff who have absolutely no baseline understanding of local Australian geography, logistics systems, or basic service procedures.
During a single chat session, I was cycled through 4 different live agents because the previous ones kept abruptly abandoning and leaving the chat without doing what I simply asked them to do, forcing me to repeatedly restart the process during a critical timeline of achieving this redirection as this is a gift and needs to be delivered by a certain time, which if this was not intercepted and in the brisbane warehouse, that gift for a very special occasion would not be able to be presented on that day and still remains unclear if that will happen or not due to the absolute stuff around I received for more than an hour trying to do this!
I live with severe mental health conditions, including Depression, Anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anti-Social Anxiety Disorder, and Borderline Personality Disorder, and I am on the Disability Support Pension. Because of these serious conditions, going in-store or resolving this issue over the phone is not a viable option for me, which is why I completely rely on the online live chat system for accessibility assistance.
Then I was connected to the 5th live agent, all of their communication barriers lacked training and left me absolutely gobsmacked! Though despite the package being scanned right down the road in NSW that morning, she continuously tried to pass the buck, displayed zero understanding of how the transit route worked, and openly admitted that the system was blindly forwarding the parcel to QLD away from its correct destination. She casually told me I would just have to 'wait for it to land' in another state.
I had to completely stand my ground, refuse her excuses, and aggressively demand an escalation before she finally backed down and generated a high-priority case number to ensure the item is turned around immediately.
Whether dealing with frontline retail staff or offshore agents online, the 99% of the personnel Australia Post Staff I have dealt with appear to have foreign backgrounds seeming very hesitant and confused on what exactly to do with absolutely no localized knowledge of what they are doing, what they are talking about, or how to actually resolve a customer issue. Head office needs to stop cutting corners, eliminate these useless automated scripts, and properly train staff who understand local logistics.
I was expecting a parcel today and was…
I was expecting a parcel today and was home all day as it is my day off. Just now looked at the tracking to see where it was and it is sitting at the post office waiting to be collected. It says locked gate but they didnt even bothered ringing the bell on it. I didnt even get any notification to say its at the post office. Now i have to wait until next week to pick it up as im working and cant get there before closing. It is very annoying and its not the first time.
I just want to say a huge thank you to…
I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone at Australia Post for the incredible job you do. The dedication and hard work from the drivers and delivery staff never goes unnoticed. It's amazing to see parcels still being delivered late into the evening, showing the commitment you have to making sure customers receive their deliveries as quickly as possible.
In a world where people often only leave reviews when something goes wrong, I wanted to recognise the people who work tirelessly in all kinds of weather, through long days and busy periods. Every parcel represents something important to someone, and your efforts make a real difference.
Thank you to the entire Australia Post team for your professionalism, reliability, and outstanding service. Your hard work is genuinely appreciated. Keep up the fantastic work!
Wish I could give less stars
Wish I could give less stars. I have a parcel to go to my son for his birthday since I'm away for work. I played and extra $20 for express freight. It left Sydney 3 weeks ago to go to FNQ it then landed in Brisbane and then sent up to FNQ this was in a span of 3 days which is fine until... They lost the order, couldn't find it for a week. Once is was located, it had been sent to Melbourne and then to Perth. They have now lost the order again. They refuse to refund the extra delivery fee or get back to me when I call and or email.
Never a good experience using Aus Post
An absolute ripp off
An absolute ripp off, $23 to post 2 t shirts without insurance or express BS.
Express post is a bit of a joke
Express post is a bit of a joke. I sent Medium Express envelope from Canberra to Perth. Tracking it using Australia Post App, It sat in Griffith in Canberra for 3 days and arrived in Perth on day 5. Then 3 days later received it. When I order parcels overseas in HongKong, Singapore I receive them in 3 to 5 days. Honestly disappointed in Australia Post. Why pay for a service that is honestly super slow??????? Should be called Snail Post, Express post is a stretch.
Sent a collectable oil lamp to a buyer
Sent a collectable oil lamp to a buyer. Each section individually bubble wrapped, 1 inch thick polystyrene surrounding each separate piece and hot glued together to prevent movement, any gaps filled with newspaper, packed in a sturdy box that was hot glued shut as well as taped. Lamp arrived to the customer in a different box absolutely shattered. That box would have been practically used as a football for this to happen. I bet they won't compensate either even though tracking with signature was purchased. NEVER AGAIN !! You would be better off using a courier company as Aust Post is known for not compensating even though they are supposed to. All the customer received was an apology letter from them. WHY DID IT ARRIVE IN ANOTHER BOX THAN THE ONE SENT ?? Something is not right here.
DO NOT DO IT PEOPLE. SPEND YOUR MONEY ON ANOTHER SERVICE.
Pathetic service we pay for but don’t get
Posted a birthday card from Cairns QLD to the Sunshine Coast QLD. Allowed plenty of time so as not to disappoint the birthday girl. After 10 days waiting, still not delivered. Unacceptable service that we pay for but never receive.
Not Happy, Australia Post Not So Australian
We have been loyal Australia Post customers for more than 25 years, but the service and value offered over the past three years have become completely unacceptable.
Despite holding a Level 4 business account, we have been subjected to repeated and excessive price increases. Australia Post is now consistently more expensive than the other freight companies we use, making it increasingly difficult for small Australian businesses to remain profitable.
What makes this even harder to accept is that Australian consumers can order low-cost products from China and have them delivered to their door for next to nothing. Meanwhile, Australian businesses are expected to pay increasingly high rates to send a parcel within their own country. Whatever international postal arrangements, commercial agreements or subsidies may sit behind this disparity, the result appears to favour overseas sellers while placing Australian businesses at a significant disadvantage.
How can a product travel thousands of kilometres from China and be delivered in Australia for less than it costs an Australian business to send a parcel to a neighbouring suburb or interstate? This is not a level playing field, and it certainly does not feel like a system designed to support Australian businesses.
The higher prices might be easier to accept if they were supported by reliable service, but that has not been our experience. We regularly deal with damaged goods, while compensation claims are frequently rejected. The claims process is unnecessarily difficult and often places the burden on the recipient, creating further inconvenience for customers who have already received a damaged order.
Australia Post has an enormous national delivery network and a dominant position in the Australian market, yet it cannot offer pricing or service that is genuinely competitive. Businesses are being charged more while receiving less. It increasingly appears that profit is being prioritised over service, accountability and support for the Australian businesses that have relied on Australia Post for decades.
We have now moved most of our deliveries to Aramex, and the difference has been significant. Its more competitive pricing has finally allowed us to make a reasonable profit on deliveries instead of watching excessive postage charges consume our margins.
Australia desperately needs another major nationwide delivery provider capable of properly competing with Australia Post. Greater competition is long overdue and may be the only thing that forces Australia Post to improve its pricing, accountability and treatment of Australian businesses and consumers.
After more than 25 years as a customer, we expected much better. Australian businesses deserve much better and its time for things to change.
