We are Co-op members and know and trust the local funeral care business having attended many funerals that they have been involved with. The representative that we met to organise our direct funerals was well trained, polite, friendly and he dealt with the company's safeguarding and probity policy efficiently with as little fuss as possible. Well done!

Very understanding and accommodating

I wanted a no service cremation plan for myself and didn't want to use ones that are advertised on TV I wanted a local but nationwide funeral directors so I chose the co-op for mine and the way it was dealt with was in a caring ,understanding and professional manner I was 100% pleased with the service.

Having decided that I wanted a direct funeral I looked at another company besides the Coop. The other company pestered me non stop with phone calls, emails & post. I never had that with the Coop, for which I was grateful.
Last week I bought my chosen plan on line, which was really simple to do. Everything is clearly laid out and when I wanted to change location of the funeral home I’d first chosen, my email was answered immediately and my request was dealt with quickly. No fuss, no pressure, just what I wanted. Thank you.

The purchase of the funeral was easy. I would have appreciated a courtesy call from the staff thanking me for the business and also the everything is included is vague- first thing I noticed when I received the pack is it says embalming isn't included. I thought that was essential!...ermm...just first impressions

I met with Angie today at the chatham branch. She was amazing and explained everything in great detail and she really made me feel at ease and supported in my decisions.
Angie has made me feel very confident in the funeral process and preparations of my mums service and took away all my worries about it all.

Recommendation came from a friend. Staff at branch were very welcoming, appointment to set up plan arranged within a week, everything was explained fully and I was happy to go ahead.

It was polite and friendly along with being informative. However, the experience was disappointing when I got a copy of the plan sent to me by email. While everything was recorded in the office very comprehensively the paperwork sent via the email was the very basic information about myself. The forms sent via the internet resembles another application form. Does this mean I have to fill out all this information once again regarding my funeral requests. Sorry but you stumbled at the last hurdle.

Gordon was a really good sales man, made it comfortable with no stress or did he make us feel pressured into buying something we didn't want, he listened and advised what he thought would be suitable. In the end it was our decision, so pleased we had him.

From the moment Amanda opened the door we knew our loved one had directed us to her.
She was perfect to send our loved one on his final journey.
She introduced us to Steven who became our celebrant - both were so in tune to the needs required.
They both gave us time to talk, nothing was too much trouble.
We loved the way they listened & gave a slightly alternative farewell.
This funeral home was the most perfect place to trust your loved ones with……..sadly xx
