Money well spent

Easy to understand website, able to choose a suitable delivery date. Kept informed as to when the order was dispatched, which company would be delivering it and a 2 hour time slot. As it happens it was delivered earlier in the day than scheduled.

Nice hamper, shame it was 10 days late

Hamper was good, Delivery company they use (DX) was awful. Failed to deliver the item three times, with no communication the second two. I had to chase up via Devon Hampers each time. Hamper 10 days late and missed the special occasion. Not sure why they use this company.

Ruined surprise.

Bought this for a friend's birthday, to be delivered direct to her door as a lovely surprise. Told her she'd be getting a delivery on the Wednesday so she stayed in all day....delivery did not arrive, absolutely gutted what an anti climax to my surprise, also in the heat I was concerned for the cream . The delivery arrived the next day. I contacted Devon Hampers and was told delivery date is not guaranteed, what had happened was the delivery company had put the item on the wrong van! Now i do understand that mistakes happen, however It would have been nice to have been informed of this rather than leaving me wondering where it was!! Devon Hampers also said it wasn't their fault, took no responsibility but said it was the delivery company's fault. Not a very good experience all round will NOT be ordering again from them.

Update... it was ordered on Saturday 14th June, should have been delivered on Wednesday 18th June didn't get delivered until Thursday 19th June... so gave more than 24 hrs notice!!

We do all we can to deliver within 24 hours of dispatch, and our parcels are fully tracked, but sometimes things don’t go to plan. If you are ordering a gift or for a special occasion, we advise to allow an extra day in case of any unforeseen courier delays. While the misrouting was an error made by our courier, we take responsibility for not keeping you informed about the misrouting and subsequent delay of your parcel.
We're currently reviewing our courier arrangements to prevent similar issues from occurring in future.
We strive to provide great service and value to all our customers and we’re disappointed that you feel this wasn’t the case for you, our apologies.

Lovely people to deal with, extremely helpful. Arranged a delivery date convenient to me and turned up as expected. Items as described and well packed. Would definitely recommend.

Poor Quality- I ordered in good faith based on…

I ordered in good faith based on reviews as a fathers day gift. When visiting my parents I was given a scone to taste and unfortunately I was very disappointed. I expected the quality to match M&S which it certainly was not. The scones were very "bread" like. I felt compelled to write to the company - received a reply and no more as yet. Hence leaving a review which I don't often do. I certainly will not be ordering again.

I’m sure the pasties are delicious but…
Tough to give a 1* here but the gift didn’t make it to my father, twice!
First package not delivered on the Friday before Father’s Day, no note left and no attempt to deliver the following day.
Complained to Devon hampers who sent another two pasties on the Monday for delivery on the Tuesday. I arranged delivery of the original package for the Tuesday also. Only the original arrived, DX couriers had managed to lose the second package.
My father received mouldy pasties two days after the intended delivery date.
To be fair, Devon hampers refunded the cost of the hamper in full, and I have since successfully ordered from the Cornish company, who were brilliant.
Realistically the 1* is for DX couriers but unfortunately Devon are tainted by association, will not be using or recommending.

Mouldy

Unfortunately hamper was badly packed with insufficient insulation and cool packs. Despite refrigeration as soon as received fresh contents were mouldy. They did refund the value of the mouldy contents only but that in itself seems stingy considering it spoilt Father’s Day

Excellent company. Delicious treats.

From start to finish I couldn’t be happier with the service from this company. My parents were delighted with their afternoon tea hamper which was delicious they said. I even got a one hour delivery slot so knew when it would arrive. Will 100% use again and recommend highly!! Top service.

The product was great and the recipient…

The product was great and the recipient loved it.

However, no acknowledgement from Devon Hampers when I informed them their courier had delivered the order to the completely wrong address.

The courier also hasn't responded with an apology.

If it wasn't for the person who received the order by accident being honest, the gift wouldn't have been received.

Only gave one star as no stars weren't an option. Supposed to arrive on a Saturday for Fathers Day but turned up on Monday! even after his daughter had paid extra for a perishable sticker stating Saturday delivery.
Being left in a van over the weekend the contents had gone off. She complained, they were rude to her and finally agreed to send out another order minus the peanuts & shortbread which they insisted wouldn't of gone off! Order due to arrive the following Friday p.m so time was taken off work to be home after midday. Arrived home to find the box had already been delivered and luckily a neighbour took it in. Plenty of other good pastie companies around. Don't waste your money using these. Avoid at all cost.

Avoid!!!!

First time ordering and safe to say I won’t be using them again. Items squashed in so much that the packaging and contents are damaged and no longer suitable to gift. The wine I ordered is advertised on the website at 14.5% ABV. Label states 13% which would indicate not worth the price charged. Another label stuck over the original. Pretty sure this is actually illegal in the UK. Complained but now seem to be being ignored. Avoid at all costs.

Thank you for your review. You informed us that the packaging on three items in your gift box were dented when you received the hamper, and we issued an immediate refund for these items.
You then reached out to explain that a label had been placed over the original wine label. This was not done by us but by the wine importer, likely with a new barcode.
We apologise for our unawareness of the change in ABV volume for this wine. ABV changes are common due to vintage variation. It's normal for the same wine to range from approximately 12.5% to 14.5% ABV, depending on the growing season. There's a tolerance range for ABV labelling, meaning the same wine might be labelled differently while remaining within legal limits.
We were unaware of any change in the published ABV for this wine, but we apologised and rectified it on our website as soon as you informed us, and we explained this to you.
I regret that you were unhappy with our response and chose to leave a negative review; we take pride in providing excellent customer service and are disappointed that we did not meet your expectations on this occasion.

Delivery failed and even though I asked…

Delivery failed and even though I asked to leave by front door porch the driver went away and it was impossible to contact the company quickly. As far as I know the box has not been delivered to my friend for her 90th birthday.
I am more than disappointed and would like you to reimburse me please.

Thank you for your recent review. We were hugely disappointed to read it and would like to apologise on behalf of our couriers for the very poor service they provided on this occasion. The great majority of our hampers are sent as gifts and we are keenly aware of the importance of customer service and getting the delivery spot on.

Alerted by your review, I have tracked the parcel and it appears the driver marked it as delivered but did not provide any signature or photographs of the delivery. So we have to assume that the parcel was lost. Because the driver had marked the item as delivered, we were not aware that your hamper hadn’t arrived safely and your review was the first we knew that the hamper had not made it to the destination.
I have issued you a full refund as requested. We strive to provide a brilliant experience, and we are disappointed when things go wrong and I can only apologise once again that our couriers let us down on this occasion.

Excellent customer service!
Through no fault of the company the courier delivered the hamper to the wrong address, i was able to speak to someone personally and a replacement was arranged and sent the same day to arrive the following day.
The recipient was very happy with the hamper and I would definitely order from this company again.

Great gift for a man!!

I was looking for a get well pick me up for a dear friend who’s male and diabetic. That’s not easy!!
This was perfect!! And he was so pleased with it .. the packaging, the scones, cream and jam were delicious!!
Fab company and I’ll definitely use them again!!
