Excellent service from ordering to delivery. Ordered a Taylors Eye Witness Manhatton 5 Piece kKnife Block. Exceptional quality and at a great price.

I ordered a pair of lamps and they are great. They were also cheaper from Downtown Stores. Delivery time was reasonable and the product was well packaged.

The item arrived on time in good condition. So far we are happy with it and it looks good matching the stainless steel sink

Visited the store to make a bed purchase , it’s so nice to be able to look and try different makes and get proper advice and answers to questions from people who know the products without pushy sales attitudes .lovely bright store , good selection , sale was on as well . Purchase made after mulling over with a coffee , clear competitive pricing including delivery choices & disposal of old bed available . All delivered within two weeks with a weeks notice of delivery date & update to time evening before .
Delivery men on time , helpful and set up the new divan do a big Thankyou there . Will not hesitate to continue browsing and shopping here , I dislike most shopping but this store makes it a pleasure .

I ordered a sofa bed instore. I explained to the sales person that I needed this to be delivered upstairs and was advised this was possible and I paid an additional amount to have the item delivered to room of choice, assembled and packaging removed.
At no point in the order process was I advised to measure access or check that the product would fit.
Sadly on the day of delivery the sofa would not easily fit around a bend at the bottom of the stairs. The delivery person just said "don't worry you can get in touch with the store and order the 2 seater which will easily fit".
I was shocked when I went in store to reorder to find that I had already forfeited 25% of the value of my original order and the non delivery full fee which came to almost £400.
At no point in the sales or delivery process was this explained to me. I would have chosen a different room for the sofa if I had realised that I would lose £400 on the deal, or not ordered in the first place if I had been advised to measure access and the fees explained properly. Apparently there should have been a page about measuring with the order paperwork but when the girl checked my folder I took with me to reorder, it wasn't there.
I will never order or buy from this company again. £400 is a lot of money to lose when you have not been forwarned. Happy to take your money but tough luck if you rely on being told these things at the point of sale/delivery because you trust their staff to help you.

Deliverers on time, kept informed

The young lady that served us was knowledgeable, pleasant and not at all pushy. She made buying easy. We have been kept upto date with the deliveries. The delivery and assembly was on time and executed efficiently with no fuss,

Went into Downtown to look at mattresses, the sales lady was very knowledgable and helpful and gave us some good advice. Was delivered today, can't wait to try it out.

It's the first time I have come across this store as just moved to the area from Kent, ordered 2 sofas were told would get them before Christmas which was fine but 4 weeks after ordering got a call to say they could deliver on the Friday which was fantastic guy's that delivered then were very nice removed my old sofa and put the new one's where we wanted them took all rubbish away as well fantastic experience will buy from there again 100%

We had problems with furniture being too solid for my back as I have spinal stenosis but Steve the Furniture manager was really helpful sorting out new furniture. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Really appreciate all the help.

My new steamed iron is great would recommend to other buyers no more restrictions how far u go on the iron board fantastic iron steam amazing takes all creases out of the clothes should of had one years ago will not convert back 5 *****

Terrific cordless/corded Tower iron. Charge on corded charger and use to iron cordless, so no cord gets in the way of ironing! And it is light to use. I use it sitting down. Thank you. :-)))

Another great customer experience with Downtown, this time purchasing a new double bed. Very knowledgable and patient salesperson; delivered to the original timescales and installed by careful and considerate delivery drivers, despite the pouring rain. This is our second major purchase from Downtown this year and again handled smoothly from the very beginning. We have no hesitation in purchasing from this store again and recommend to others.
