Dr. Direct Retainers  

DrDirect was formerly Smile Direct and has once again changed its name to SmileSet. I tried straightening my teeth with aligners from SmileDirect but my teeth were never straight. I reached out but they didn’t keep their 100% guarantee. I foolishly purchased retainers from DrDirect in hopes maybe the new company could help finish my teeth alignment. I told them my teeth were never straight when I finished my treatment with SmileDirect and yes SD had sent me retainers that didn’t fit because my teeth never actually were straight. DrDirect proceeded to take my money and sent me retainers that did not fit. Contacted them to no avail. I asked for new retainers that fit. The asked me to send pictures but they never followed up after that. I requested a refund and was again ignored. There’s absolutely no customer service with this company and they definitely do not care about customers or having return customers.

I now own 3 retainers that do not fit. Please save your money and find a real dentist. You’re truly not saving anything with this company. You’re actually losing money and time.

Has anything changed DrDirect / SmileSet? Will you finally refund my money? Please prove me wrong. Show us you’re a legit company that actually cares.

SmileSet contacted me directly to tell me they would NOT refund me since they only have a 30 day guarantee. I guess satisfaction guarantee only extends to 30 days with them.

Trust me this company, under any name, will do absolutely everything possible to make sure the 30 day guarantee window expires before you can get an exchange or a refund. They’re money hungry care nothing about their clients.

Much better than I expected. Retainers arrived as promised and fit perfectly.

The retainers fit well but I have tried to get into my account to order new ones and the comany has not got back to me. Are you still in business?

My last retainer is too big it goes all the way-down my gums i cant even use them i need anew pair.

Something is clearly different with this set of retainers compared to previous sets ordered from Dr. Direct. The material seems to be thinner and the fit is not the same. Used to be the same quality as Smile Direct retainers. What happened?

When trying to do the impressions. The first impression set before I had a chance to take the full impression.

The retainers were not sufficiently trimmed. I’ve had to file down with an electronic nail filer (had to purchase specially for it) to keep from cutting into my gums. Upper ridge was all wavy but lower was easy to fix.

Fit great. Little hiccup with the order, but they corrected it immediately and rushed my order

Its super easy. The retainer are better quality then Smile Direct.

Dr. Direct was terrible. I tried ordering a new set of retainers and the first pair they sent me were so wrong that I was questioning if they even sent me ones from my own smile impression. It took them 2 impression kits and 4 sets of retainers to finally get a pair that fit my teeth, and I still can't even wear them because the rim is so bad that it digs into my gums and causes too much irritation. I've come to the point that I've given up on trying to get replacement retainers that actually fit me.

Very quick to get my retainers. Only problem is attempting to reach someone about retainer specifics.
