No message no contact to say out of stock. No idea when in stock no one really cares I’ve now got 1 child with nothing and no idea what’s going to happen
What’s the point of a subscription if you let stock run out. You lnow what you need that’s the idea of a subscription to be able

We’re sorry to hear you’re disappointed.
When a subscription item is out of stock, our system sends an email confirming that the item has been skipped. You are not charged for any subscription item that we’re unable to fulfil.
Unfortunately, a subscription does not reserve or guarantee stock indefinitely. If a particular size is unavailable when the subscription is due, we will not take payment for an item we cannot send. Once that size is available again for a future subscription date, the subscription will continue as normal.
We appreciate that this is frustrating when the shirts are intended for two grandchildren, but we would never charge you for an out-of-stock item and leave you waiting indefinitely for it to become available.
I ordered a Mystery Football
I ordered a Mystery Football. It arrived in a plain black box. Nothing to indicate where it came from no info inside the box just the ball ( which was nice) but quite frankly I could’ve done that myself. I did email to explain and sent photos etc and all the said was the label had been missed off the box at the point of packaging. They offered me an exchange or a 20% discount. But wouldn’t send a photo of how the footballs are usually packaged. Overpriced at £26.99 . Very disappointing!

Hi Salli, sorry to see this review. As we explained when you contacted us, the Mystery Football box should have a black MysteryFootball branded sticker on the outside, which was unfortunately missed during packaging.
We acknowledged the issue straight away and offered two resolutions: a free return and exchange, or a 20% refund if you wanted to keep the ball. The ball itself was correct and, as you’ve mentioned, you were happy with it.
We’re sorry the missing sticker affected your experience, but we did acknowledge the packaging error and offer options to resolve it.
Order not recieved and emails being ignored
Ordered a top on the 3rd Sept, got confirmation it had been sent on the 4th with royal mails 48h tracked, the status has not changed on royal mails tracking service since Fri 4th stating they are expecting the parcel. Emailed to ask for an update, got a response asking to confirm my full address which i did and have had no response since, this was Thursday 10th. Emailed again asking for a refund as the issue was with them and not royal mail and have yet to get a response. Now going down the route of a charge back through my bank

Hi Donna, we’re sorry to see this review, but we’d like to clarify that your emails have not been ignored.
Your parcel was handed over to Royal Mail on 4th September, but unfortunately Royal Mail failed to scan it into their network following collection. An investigation has therefore been opened with Royal Mail to establish what has happened to the parcel.
Our customer service response time is within 2 working days. Sending multiple emails before receiving a response can unfortunately cause delays, as new messages can move the conversation within our support queue.
As the parcel has not yet been confirmed as lost, we’re unable to issue a refund or replacement while Royal Mail’s investigation is ongoing. As you have now chosen to open a chargeback with your bank, the matter will proceed through that process.
Disappointed with not so well known team
I bought two football shirts. One was Al-Nassr which one of my grandsons was over the moon with, however my other grandson got Tenerife which was a huge disappointment to him as a 9 year old he had not heard of them. I would suggest that bigger named teams be sent out to children

The whole idea behind our Mystery Football Shirts is that you can receive clubs from all around the world, including teams you may not already know. We don’t restrict children’s boxes to bigger or more well-known clubs, as discovering a new team is part of the mystery!

Great delivery service and do have a slight issue i have had the same top twice and im finding its mainly different teams that aint the top 5 leagues which is a little bit upsetting as I would like a few more from different clubs from the Premier league,ligue 1,bundersliga,la liga and serie a it would be hugely appreciated as I dont know all the different clubs around the world so cant click on them all

Ignored preferences.
Ordered a from this site and specified that I didn't want Celtic or any Green top.
They sent me a green and white hooped top and when I've queried it they basically said take or leave it. Terrible attitude and a deliberate act to pick out that top. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Our Mystery Boxes are coded by team, which allows our warehouse team to avoid specific clubs such as Celtic. However, the team selecting your order cannot see the shirt design or colour inside the sealed box – that part is a complete mystery.
Your request to avoid Celtic was followed and you did not receive a Celtic shirt. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee requests to avoid particular colours or designs, including green and white hoops, as our team simply does not know what the specific shirt inside looks like when selecting it.
Big group doesn’t mean you will get different shirts
I was told to make one order when ordering for a big group, yet I received two of the same shirt

I'm sorry to hear this Paul. When shirts are ordered together as a group, the aim is that different shirts are selected, so receiving two identical shirts would be a packing mistake rather than intentional.
Unfortunately, human error can occasionally happen, for example if a product has been incorrectly labelled. If you get in touch with our customer service team with your order details, we’ll be happy to look into this and get it resolved for you.
Cheap football inside an unbranded black cardboard box!
Ordered 2 mystery football boxes for my kids for Christmas. Black generic boxes with no branding on so kids wouldn't know it was a 'mystery football box' which kind of negates the whole point. To add to that, whilst one ball was the 2024 Euro match ball which is at least a bit interesting, the other ball is a generic £7.95 Adidas football so when they open it, it looks like I've shoved a cheap football inside a random black box. Will now throw the boxes away, put the balls with the rest of their footballs and find another present for Christmas. Waste of money.

We’re sorry to hear the Mystery Footballs weren’t what you were hoping for. The balls you received are both genuine products included within our Mystery Football range, and there is no fault with either item.
As with all of our mystery products, the exact football received will vary, and some will naturally be more desirable to individual customers than others. We appreciate that one of the balls wasn’t to your personal taste, but this is part of the mystery element of the product.
Regarding the packaging, the black boxes should include MysteryFootball branding, so if yours have arrived without this, please contact our customer service team with photos and we’ll be happy to look into the packaging issue.
A tough collector to surprise, but they’ve nailed it twice!
I’ve collected football shirts for years, so with a collection as big as mine, I’m probably a mystery shirt company’s worst nightmare!
I originally bought two shirts from Mystery Football and was pleasantly surprised. I particularly liked being able to add notes about my favourite leagues and colours. However, I ended up subscribing to another company, and the experience went downhill: one good shirt followed by shirts I’d asked to avoid, disappointing quality and preferences that seemed to be ignored.
After cancelling that subscription, I kept seeing Mystery Football adverts and decided to give mystery boxes another chance. I couldn’t find the same extra information box this time, so I cheekily used the “shirts to avoid” section to mention that I follow and collect Saudi, Argentine and other football leagues.
The first box contained an Al Hilal third shirt, complete with all the sponsors. It looked outstanding. An immediate winner.
Given my previous experience elsewhere, I was half expecting the second box to bring me back down to earth. Instead, I received a shirt from an Argentine second-division club! Exactly the sort of interesting addition that makes mystery shirts appealing to a collector.
The biggest thing for me wasn’t just receiving two great shirts, it was feeling listened to. Both fitted the interests I’d mentioned, which made the whole experience feel much more personal.
Delivery and tracking have been spot on, and when I had a question, the response time was 10/10.
Two boxes into my return, both shirts are staying in my collection, and I’m excited for the next one. My only suggestion would be to bring back a dedicated box for favourite leagues, colours and extra notes, even just for reference.

The shirt arrived in super quick time. I put comments in the ‘comments’ box when I ordered, which they used when choosing a shirt. The shirt is original and excellent quality. I went online and saw that to buy this shirt was £60, before delivery charges. I’ll be ordering again.

Honestly, avoid Mystery Football Shirts. I’ve ordered four times and three of those orders were the exact same jersey. It completely defeats the purpose of a “mystery” box. I’m extremely disappointed and won’t be ordering from them again. Save your money and try a different retailer.
