We had a great experience with northern pwr and all their employees

The regional manager, Jason, is one of the worst people I've ever spoken with as a customer. He talked about how all the other Solar companies in the area are defaming them. Replied faster to my post on a FB Solar Group than to my text messages. Said removing my panels would cost the company 80-90K, but was willing to move them to another part of the roof.

My mom and I are joint holders of our deed, and when she contacted him, he was so forceful in denying any of her complaints that she ended up crying.

Not to mention that maintaining contact with this company is a logistical nightmare. I was constantly receiving text messages from 6 different numbers, and up to 10 different people, over the course of my interactions with them. (Although, everyone besides Jason, was professional and easy to speak with)

Then beyond the personnel, this company refused to give me detailed price breakdown (including the costs of panels, inverters, etc), and used bundled pricing "deals" to grossly overcharge for my system. $48K; $12K of which was for 0% financing, $6K was energy efficiency upgrades, leaving $30K for 11 panels and install (which would be $15-20K elsewhere on the higher end). I noticed far too late to back out.

Happy with my experience with connection and billing with Northern Pwr.

This is my first time going solar so I don’t have any other experience to compare with. I have found Northern Pwr a seamless experience. I’ve seen my electrical costs reduced immensely. I’m really impressed that I can have both electric and gas all under their umbrella. I’m fascinated by how much energy I make through the panels and see how it reduces my electrical costs.

First they were on time, the crew was polite and very clear explaining what they were doing, cleaned up after the work was done and we would like to thank everyone 👍🏼

Customer communication.

No problems so far. Soooo good!!! Each time I talk or text with a staff member they're thorough, knowledgeable n prompt with the situation at hand!!!

Dealing with Northern PWR has been a pleasure! Working with Talor has made the whole process seemless and they are very quick and responsive to get things done. It is impressive how quick they work to get things rolling and installed. They keep you informed very well along the way as well and more than willing to answer any questions you have. Installers were very quick and everything went well for the install as well. Would highly recommend them for your solar project.

Stay away from this company! I have had nothing but issues. They added almost $2000 when we revised the agreement. I did not see it at the time of signing because I did not expect them to be underhanded. When I suspected it and asked for a detailed breakdown they refused. I am now forced to take legal action

I am very happy with my Northern Power solar installation. Though completed almost 2 years ago, I am still in contact with the company. Recently, they noticed that I had not joined a Solar Club and was not getting the full benefits of my system. Kenneth worked with me to complete the applications to join the Northern NRG club.

Hi everyone, please do yourself a favor before signing a big solar contract—shop around and compare prices first.

I made the mistake of doing my research after I signed my contract, and now I can't cancel it. I went with Northern Power, and I feel like I was seriously overcharged.

After comparing prices, I found that a standard 16-panel solar system, including the inverter, would have cost me around $25,000. Instead, I ended up paying $57,000.

I’m sharing this so others can avoid making the same costly mistake I did. Please compare quotes from different companies before signing anything.

Justin is a great salesman very knowledgeable about his system I’m not sure I got the best price but hopefully I didn’t overpay to much

Great work, everybody was very professional. There was no mess and no fuss. Would do it again.

The price we paid was supposed to power more than we use with a 2 people in a 2,000 sq foot house. It’s not even close in the summer. We paid way too much because we were supposed to have a new style of panels that you can add onto easily. We cannot add more panels without a huge $$$ upgrade.

They basically scam you. We purchased when they still had decent enough reviews. The sales guy promised there would be no power charges in the summer and the credits will take us thru the winter. Well we still pay $65 in the summer and there are no credits to apply to the winter months. Another shitty thing is they put out panels on the northwest corner. I said I didn’t want this and they said it would be fine. Well it isn’t fine. Go with someone else….

Was great and fast completing the installation

The company and representatives are very easy to deal with and very accommodating. They are very knowledgeable and professional through each stage. I highly recommend them.
