Awful delivery and company - not not use!
I placed an online order with Online Carpets two weeks ago, with a quoted delivery time of 2–5 working days. I was initially told my carpet would be delivered on Friday last week, only to receive what appeared to be an automated email saying the delivery van carrying my carpet had “broken down.”
I called immediately to ask whether the van was local so that my partner could potentially collect the carpet, but the response I received was extremely unconvincing. As a result, I had to reschedule my carpet fitter, who had been booked for the weekend.
I called again first thing on Monday to get another delivery date and was told it would be either Wednesday or Thursday. I subsequently received an email confirming delivery for Wednesday between 11:00am and 2:30pm, so I had to take another day off work to make sure I was home.
Then, at 9:30am on Wednesday morning—just hours before the scheduled delivery—I received another email, which again appeared to be a pre-written excuse, this time saying they had “forgot to put my carpet on the van.”
I immediately contacted customer service and explained that I had taken another day off work and needed the carpet because my fitter was booked for Thursday. Unfortunately, they were completely unhelpful and made no real attempt to resolve the situation. I was simply told that I would have to wait another 2–4 working days for a new delivery date.
The customer service and delivery service have been awful. After repeatedly rearranging work and my carpet fitter for deliveries that never happened, I completely lost faith in the company.
In the end, I had to go to a local carpet shop, purchase another carpet myself and cancel my entire order with Online Carpets.
From my experience, it was extremely difficult to have confidence that my carpet was actually available, given the repeated delivery excuses. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before ordering from this company.

When this does happen, we are committed to making contact as soon as possible and working to resolve the situation as quickly as we can.
All delivery timescales are provided in good faith. We advise that delays can occur and highlight this within our Terms and Conditions of Sale, allowing customers to review this information before placing an order. As delivery dates are not guaranteed, we also advise customers not to arrange for fitting until the order has been received and checked.
A request for further information has now been sent so that we can validate your order details and make direct contact with you. This will allow us to fully investigate the circumstances of your order and the delivery issues.

Easy ordering and got exactly what i…
Easy ordering and got exactly what i needed from the online store. Even had 5m wide carpet. Delivered earlier than expected which was really needed. Tracking option really helped and the delivery driver helped to get the carpet and underlay right to my door.
