I chose Paloma for my son as the wait times were shorter and they offered remote appointments. The process was really straightforward and the staff were amazing with both me and my son. The whole process from referral to getting his report took roughly 5 months. I would highly recommend paloma.

Absolutely incredible service from start to finish. The Paloma team have been nothing but amazing every step of the way. Me and my daughter were made to feel at ease from the very first contact with paloma. We travelled 4.5 hours for our in person appointment and I would definitely do it again.

Recomended by local EDIE team as a quicker means of getting an autism assessment than through CAMHS. Referred around April/May and assessment completed by Dec where other route would have taken 2 years. Regular emails received updating on process, numerous module training courses explaining process, offers of video courses explaining stages. Staff made myself and my son feel at ease and informed through the assessment and interviews and also informed me of other means of support and further assessments that may be considered. Highly recommended.

A quick process from start to finish which now means my daughter will get the support she needs at school. Being a teen girl she masks massively yet the team could see through this and recognised the anxiety having to do this causes her. Both of us felt listened to and it was a relief to not have to wait years through the school system to get the diagnosis she needed

My daughter was seen quickly and put at ease, which is no easy feet. The clinically led team led with professionalism, empathy and efficiency. My daughter finally feels more understood and has more understanding of herself. We can now navigate school life with the support she has always needed and deserved. Thank you

Really pleased with Paloma which I used for my 7 year olds autism assessment. Such a short wait (22 weeks from start to finish) compared to the 3 years we have already been waiting on the NHS and going nowhere. The clinicians were kind and professional and made us all at ease. Felt seen and listened to. Very good report and overall a great service! Would highly recommend!

Fast, thorough, thoughtful, regular updates of the process. Made my teen feel at ease and heard, after years of fighting with High school to be referred for assessment.

Report came through a few days before final outcome appointment, and it was very thorough and provided suggestions to GP of other areas my teen might benefit from being accessed (Dyspraxia).

Whole process took 18 weeks and great timing for being a new college student, she can now get the support she needs. So glad Paloma are accessible via RTC/Right to choose, we heard from them within 2 days of GP filling out the short referral.

Paloma were fantastic throughout. The communication from them was useful throughout from referral to assessments. The clinicians who conducted the assessments were quick to ensure that my child and myself were at ease and their empathic approach to the assessments made it less stressful for my child. We had an excellent experience with Paloma Health for my son’s autism assessment. From start to finish, the process was fast, professional and extremely well managed. Communication was outstanding – I was kept fully up to date at every stage, which made a potentially overwhelming process feel much more manageable.

The team were nurturing, reassuring and genuinely compassionate, not just towards my son but towards me as a parent too. They took the time to explain everything clearly and were incredibly helpful whenever I had questions or needed reassurance.

The assessment itself was thorough and accurate and the final report was exceptionally detailed and well written. It gave us real insight and understanding and will be invaluable in supporting my son moving forward.

I cannot recommend Paloma Health highly enough. Their care, expertise and attention to detail truly made a difference for our family.

I think the only one thing they could improve with but wasn’t personally worrying for me is to provide the report a few days in advance to the outcome meeting in comparison to the working day before (I’m unsure if this is the case in every assessment but it was for mine). However I had no issues with this and still read it in detail and had time to prepare questions, I think for busier families the timescale may impact them more.

Fantastic service from start to finish. The online reading available while waiting for the appointments to come through were very informative and helpful. In the parent meeting I felt fully heard for the first time as my daughter masks heavily except when at home. During her first child observation she struggled, Paloma were very understanding and explained the questions and activities in more detail to her and re-scheduled the appointment to allow her to feel more comfortable. Even with her masking heavily the experts were able to see through it and captured her strengths and struggles perfectly. The report being added to the portal is an amazing tool for the parents and great for then sharing with her school. Thank you Paloma for such an efficient and straightforward process.

The process was really clear and straightforward with links to the website that talk you through each stage of what would happen. The people doing the assessments were approachable and positive. I was unsure about how an online assessment would work but it was no different from what I image an in person one would be. The reports was clear and gave lots of advice going forward. They made the process much less stressful and I would recommend the service.

Amazing service, clinicians are very knowledgeable, understanding and put my daughter and myself at ease, great information pack sent before hand with different modules. My daughter got her diagnosis, the report was well written and really tailored to my daughter’s needs with recommendations for both home and school. Highly recommended

Paloma was an efficient excellent service from start to finish which was around 8 months. We chose Paloma as we have a 9 year old daughter who masks heavily in school. The assessor was fantastic for the child observation appointment putting our daughter at ease. We can tell from the report that he was very quickly able to pick up on things and see though the mask. The parent interview was also excellent, it really felt for the first time that we were believed and the information we gave wasn't questioned, it was accepted. Our child observation appointment took place at the Exeter clinic which was a huge distance for us to travel but absolutely worth it. I can't fault anything about the process. Very impressed with the service.

The appointment came through fast, my appointment felt very relaxed and flowed well without judgement. The psychologists were patient and understanding and made us feel comfortable. Everything happened so quickly from referral to diagnosis with report completed 3.5 months. My son felt at ease the whole vibe of Paloma staff being relaxed made him feel better about attending the appointment and to do it alone. He’s 17 so unsure if that’s an age thing that’s required. Overall we had a great experience and both ladies were lovely polite friendly people. Thank you

Amazing from the beginning to the end.
We felt the whole process was very efficiant, accomodating with the days we could do. The clinicians were super helpful & supportive. All the clinicians are happy to answer any questions we had and offer lots of advice. The report as another patent has mentioned i their review showed a true reflection of our son, something we have seen for a long time but now finally feel heard with the diagnosis we have recieved.
Our report came back quickly too.
We can not thank Paloma health enough for the support they given us and giving my son a voice/diagnosis so we can give him the support he may need.
