Rentokil came to my house to pump up termite barrier - perimeter and under slab - and to conduct inspection.
* Highlights *
Ray (5 stars!) was all you wish a technician would be. He gave me 45min warning of his arrival time, and came on time. He was knowledgeable, charming, diligent and he went the extra mile, so to speak. And this is a rare virtue: He was willing to listen as well as explain! I could say more but in a nutshell, it would be ideal if we could clone him!
Another highlight was that he explained that if I found white ant activity during the 8-year warranty period, Rentokil would return for free to treat it.

Regarding the process of getting quotes, booking, paying: The staff were polite and all that, and I've had worse, but there's a bit to complain about.
(1) I'm guessing that they are short-staffed. After agreeing to quotation I had to talk to a different department to make a booking. Left two messages and some days later got a call back from Sales asking if I had booked yet, and no he wouldn't take a booking. In the end it took something like 3 weeks from sending quotation request to getting a booking.
(2) They insist on a 20% deposit and remainder of payment prior to starting. This grates with me but I reluctantly agreed because the price was too good to ignore (see point 3) and having used them before and checked reviews #, I thought they would do at least a fair job. [# WA seems to be better than the other states, and Ray gets enthusiastic responses]
(3) I think this is a symptom of point 1. Though I checked explicitly that the quotation covered both slab and perimeter, it seems that I was underquoted. This became apparent during the job (after I'd paid the full fee) and to their credit there was no question about me having to pay more. The company accepted it without complaint. I'm very please that the company office deficiencies worked out in my favour, but I don't feel that this merits extra points. The 1 star deduction is really for the first two points above.
On the plus side the routine paperwork (issuing receipts, reports etc) seems to be well automated.

All in all, I'm very happy with the end result. Special thanks to Ray and I'll be happy to use Rentokil again, though I hope for a more efficient upfront engagement next time (though the underquoting will still be fine with me!).

A truly pathetic company we booked this company to come out and do an inspection at a site did not bother to even call to sight the crew was not coming rescheduled it two days earlier and then again wanted to come earlier today did not come did not call and have not bothered to respond to numerous emails this company should go out of business.

They will never stop sending spam emails. Don't even contact this company as they will never leave you alone. There is no option to "unsubscribe" from their emails, which is illegal.

Do not use Rentokil Albury. I have recently had a terrible experience with these guys. Failed to check bait station on time because apparently I was too far away after they had already committed to the job. In this time i had termites move to other areas of the house. Following that i had trouble getting a report from them and when i did it was not even for my property.

Usually a positive service from local office.
Experienced soured by the lies and obnoxious messaging from the head office team in Lidcombe.

I am required to use this company (Albury branch) for my annual termite warranty inspection for my home built by Rawsons 2 years ago. Absolutely sh!t company to deal with, won't return calls, emails, show up to appointments, provide a annual termite report etc. They have no interest in completing the annual termite inspection all so they can get out of honouring their warranty. Beware if you are building a new home.

Phil C is a credit to Rentokil . He spotted a leak in our roof which was very small but could have caused damage long term . he is easy to deal with and is very knowledgeable and informative also passionate about keeping those pests and termites away

Rentokil is allegedly a big and efficient company offering termite control. Its website is full of glowing customer reviews but I have had a terrible experience. I had a rentokil termite inspection 6 months ago only to find I have a major termite infestation. When I called to arrange an urgent visit I was told by the call center person that I would hear from a consultant. After 6 hours of no call back I called again and was told by another phone person that they would email the consultant. The next morning still no reply. I called again and was told after making a big fuss that this phone person would investigate only to be told that the consultant they were allegedly contacting was on leave although none of the call center people knew this! I wasted 24 hours with this nonsense. Terrible customer service for a returning customer who obviously wont be returning. By the way the company obviously also lost revenue that would have run into the thousands.

I spoke to someone I knew there, Ali Abdallah. Had an emergency and he organised a same day service call out for me.

A level above the rest, they should all be this good, can’t recommend enough.
