SCAM product.
The claim is that you get some stunning Japanese sharp knife.
The reality is a blunt knife that doesn't look anything like what's advertised. Very disappointed.
Trying to get refund from the company is impossible as they send automated emails.
They don't respond to any messages in terms of returns etc.
Don't get caught out like I did.
A SCAM product at its very worst.
I wish I'd read the reviews here first prior to ordering as the FAKE reviews on there site seemed very good.

I have ordered a set of 7 knives over 2 weeks ago and have not heard anything back from them. I have emailed the support email but no response. I ordered because of the reviews Ive seen on their website and only started digging more into the company because I have not heard anything back from them. Is there a number for them that anyone knows? Also how to I get money back? Can they be reported

Beautiful knife set, long shipping time
The knife set is gorgeous and beautifully packaged, it was a gift for my husband's birthday and he is incredibly chuffed. Be prepared to wait weeks for shipping as it's coming from overseas, my delivery was slightly later than expected (by 2 days) but when I reached out the the company I was contacted back fairly swiftly. Shipping company is Royal Mail. Overall I'm very pleased with the purchase. Knives are very sharp and quality looks good, will update on here after a few months to say how they've held up over time.

This is a con , avoid at all cost , do not deal with this company. They delete all the bad reviews on their site , won't accept a return , you will lose your money. Knives are very poor quality, definitely not Damascus steel.

This company falsy advertises knives as Damascus steel which they are not. The knives have a pattern textured into them & are simply cheap steel & certainly not worth the advertied prices. A refund has been requested but they are refusing, avoid these scam merchants.

The advertisement clearly states Japanese Damascus steel. The knife is not Japanese - Japanese knives always proudly state made in Japan. The steel is not Damascus or pattern welded. This is a cheap knife cut with a pattern to look like pattern steel.

Rejected delivery, promised a refund that never came. £71 lost - total scam.

Total fake... knew straightaway it was not what it looked like on the website. Returned, but still no refund.
Fake knife fake business... makes me mad these people duping genuine people out of £100's. It will come back on them.

Face business and fake products.
This is a Chinese business that sales fake products. After payment they won’t respond to your calls or emails.
Stay away from this

Sakuto claims that their knifes are Damascus steel. They are not. When you look closer the pattern which resample Damascus steel is engraved onto the surface. They have on purpose taken a Japanese sounding name but are in fact a Chinese company. The support is very unresponsive, and the second knife in the set took 4 weeks to arrive.

the phone number on the website doesnt exist. unresponsive to emails. website, name, email address and website closely mimicking a legitimate site.

Fraud and Complete scam, terrible, terrible quality knives, chipped after first use, cutting roast beef! I think paper would be more durable. No response to complaint e-mail. Staggered that this level of scam is allowed to run unchallenged, fake reviews on their site, huge online presence mimicking actual Damascus steel knives and these poorly made, laser etched fakes are going for the same price. Do not put your money in the hands of robbing criminals.

Fraudulent.

Placed an order and then was filled with dread after reading the feedback but in all honesty I'm super pleased. Good communication from the seller plus the knife arrived in time for Christmas (was a gift for my brother-in-law) and he loves it. Yeah of course it's not authentic damascus steel but for 50 quid it looks fantastic and made for a great gift.

I ordered these knives (came witching around 7 days) unfortunately they weren’t what I was looking for so I requested to return them. Communication throughout has been really good, I received notification of my refund yesterday 21/12 having sent the knives back on 18/12. My experience overall has been positive. Thank you to Darrell for being quick to respond!

Everyone , please stay away from this comPany our order has been lost and they totally ignoring us no knifes 300 pounds lost.Shame on them!I am first time in such situation and customer service!As i expect the will fill claim with royal mail and provide me declaration as I can not do this. Also they sending such an expensive iteams just sipmly tracked option when inside is KNIFES!!!is requre signature and ID challenge, but they do not care .It is smell very doddy here.So do not buy guys!

Website says the following. Generally, shipments are in transit for 5 – 10 days (Monday to Friday). Order cut off time will be 05:00 PM Greenwich Mean Time (London). Order handling time is 1-2 business day (Monday to Friday).

The moment you place the order it will advise you it’s 2-3 days processing and 12-19 business days so obviously not advertising truthful content on their website before you place the order. Just see the other reviews. You also have to figure out what courier is used. No surprise 13 days in and RM are still saying they still are expecting it when this was needed for today as this was a present.

They have sent me the return address details which is something but obviously at my cost. I will amend this review once returned and refund received. See how this one goes.

I’ll give it a few days before I start the PayPal claim.

These are very aesthetically pleasing knives and a good weight. Tested sharp on arrival and I am very happy. Yes they won't be hand made Japanese damascus steel but at that price you shouldn't expect it.
I just wanted to post here to balance,out the feed back as I am very happy with my purchase.

I am editing this review because I have finally received the product, but my original view has not changed: I would not recommend shopping here.

After receiving an order confirmation with a tracking number for Royal Mail over two weeks ago, I periodically followed the link only to see 'Order dispatched from Sender' never progress beyond this point. I tried to contact Sakuto Knives but since one email reassuring me it was on its way, nothing more in response to further emails, until I threatened to cancel the order and report the business as fraudulent – they're genuine, but this succeeded in getting a reaction. The knife, from China, not Japan, was just clearing customs and arrived 14/12/23, 16 days after ordered.

Product looks OK, well packed and presented, but I can't test it as it's a gift and we may yet return it. I wish Sakuto had been more forthcoming in their responses to emails, so they didn't leave such a bad impression.

Also wish I'd seen other reviews first but was following a link for a gift request. If I had, I would have seen the string of other experiences similar to mine.

Purchased the Sakuto knife about a year ago. These knives are chinese copies. The damascus pattern is laser etched. The blade bends easily and had already started to rust. Do not think you are getting genuine Japanese knives. The business is run from a terraced house in London Do not buy!

Ordered a knife, sadly before looking at these reviews.
I’ve attempted to leave reviews on their own site but unsurprisingly none of them have made the cut (unintentional pun). Very much looks like the reviews are either fake or rigorously hand picked.
Ordered the item on the 13/10/23. Noted that the marker on the map indicating the delivery address was different to my address. Contacted them to make them aware of this. Received very odd replies- as if they didn’t understand. I then thought it might be better to highlight the incorrect address with the delivery company so went to the tracking information. There was a number but it wasn’t associated with any courier. I contacted the company again to ask who the courier was- again, vague, unhelpful and seeming not to grasp the issue. By this time I’m pretty concerned that this is a scam so had a look at the reviews here, confirming my fears. Really annoyed at my own gullibility. Now 19/11/23, no knife, tracking now showing ‘expired’. Now not responding to emails. No acknowledgment of request for refund.
Edit: having ranted to the company I have today received a refund from them. I still wouldn't trust them in future though as the rest of my documented experience remains unchanged.
