I’m really disappointed with my experience at Sarah & Sebastian. I received a necklace as a gift for my 30th birthday — a special and sentimental piece that broke after just a year of occasional wear. For jewellery at this price point, I expected far better quality.

When I returned the piece, I was told it couldn’t be repaired, and I was issued store credit. However, the exact same necklace now costs significantly more, meaning I’d have to pay an additional $300–$400 just to replace what was originally purchased.

To make things worse, I had the piece assessed by a trusted independent jeweller who had no issue with repairing it — so the refusal to repair feels even more frustrating.

This entire experience reflects poorly on both the product quality and the brand’s customer service. I expected much more from a luxury jewellery label.

I was looking for a necklace that I could wear and not take off while in the shower - the lady from the store advised me that this necklace is okay to wear while in the shower. I bought the necklace worth over 1k AUD. After a month, I have issues with the chain, so I came back to the store, and they mentioned that I should not wear them while taking a shower, and this needs to be repaired for 4 weeks! I was disappointed as this necklace is gold and expensive, and hence I was been sold of misleading and I have to go overseas for months without my necklace as the repairs will take 4 weeks! :( Bad quality and misleading in sales poor communication

Expensive costume jewellery. Breaks easily. Avoid unless you don’t like the person who you’re buying for eg. your mother-in-law.

Highly recommend you avoid sending anything back for repair, was told in store the repair for my clasp would be $40. Sent it in, when they assessed it they tried to charge me $160 to replace the whole chain. I said I just wanted to replace the clasp and they agreed to this and the charge would only be $40. 6 weeks later I still don’t have my necklace returned or any update on where it’s up to. The customer service representative I’ve been dealing with, Luisa, seems nice enough but is extraordinarily slow to respond between every communication and is not proactive at all, I’ve had to chase up multiple times now and still no closer to receiving my item back. Should have gone to a jeweller to have it fixed for what I’m sure would be cheaper and way faster.

Beautiful ! I love my petit tennis bracelet. I get so many compliments - and it was so well priced. Shoutout to Louisa from customer service for being so helpful !!

Has the most amazing experience in store with the Paddington team. They went above and beyond with my order and organised for it to arrive early in store for me to collect in time for the weekend. Vanessa in customer service was also so helpful with sharing the best gift ideas for my nieces.

Absolutely love my bracelets. I had the best experience with Luisa and Cintra who were both wonderful in walking me through the options and the soldering process.

Great experience at the Elizabeth St Store, got a soldered bracelet and love it so much.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I had purchased a very expensive diamond necklace from them and noticed that the larger diamond has fallen out. I’ve hardly worn it; I explained all this to them and they flat out refused to offer to fix it for me because I was 10 months past the warranty period. It’s clearly a manufacturing fault and their customer service team showed absolutely no understanding and empathy. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!! Terrible faulty goods and even worse customer service!
