Pretty useless to be honest. Have had for a few years now but have now cancelled completely as no longer fit for purpose.
First set up - wouldn't work, spent a day or so and apparently there was an issue their end which prevented the process working.
During the years - various cameras failing and having to reset and add again, cameras not recording but having no idea they weren't and when questioned the tech team they couldn't explain, the app is a waste of space as can only live view on it (no playback, creating clips etc), mobile webpage does not work - tells you to use the app or you click desktop version which lets you log in but not easy to use as it's a phone, today have been told you have to use a proper laptop or desktop? Why when people have perfectly good phones which do almost everything a laptop or desktop can do except use their website??! And to be fair if you're needing to create a video file from this system due to being burgled the chances are your laptop or desktop has been stolen!
Tech team only ever replies "your feedback has been passed on", for the last 4 years nothing has changed.

Product is good. However returning the camera mid contract is difficult.

I haven't used the camera in about 2 months. Paid last month regardless but this month they couldn't take payment due to the account having no funds, A week later charged me fees for not paying and ignoring their reminder (by accident) I asked if I could cancel and return the camera, and thus assume balance settled.

They honestly replied saying they would be happy to nullify my last invoice as long as I provided proof of postage,

They sent this email on 18th. Camera received by them today (26th) due to me not getting round to it until yesterday...

And now they are trying to tell me they can't nullify last month's invoice as I didn't provide proof of posting within 3 days of them emailing.

I promise you they did not specify any timeframe.

"As soon as we receive the Smartfrog camera from you, we can fully terminate your contract. The invoicing has been temporarily suspended giving you time to return the camera(s).
Please send us a photo of the tracking receipt once you have sent the camera. As soon as we have received the tracking information, we will be happy to nullify your last Invoice."

I'm not paying it, and I think Toby needs a reality check :)

Die Bildqualität ist klasse, aber der Servicemann war unfreundlich und unmotiviert. Am schlimmsten ist aber der datenverbrauch von mind. 50 GB pro Monat. Damit ist das Produkt mit ner normalen Karte ohne Flatrate schlichtweg nicht zu gebrauchen. Ich wollte es mit ner 2. Sim-Karte im Router für die Überwachung meines Wochenendhauses nutzen und habe mir damit innerhalb weniger Stunden das komplette Datenvolumen leergezogen.

Same as everyone else. Out of blue got a letter threatening court action. Contract is well over. Hasnt worked in over a year which they are fully aware of so I am not going to pay for a faulty item. I told them again in November cancel the subscription. I am still getting invoices. Customer services ( hahaha not) wont cancel the subscription...they are holding me to randsom...by saying they will cancel my subscription when i pay back the £65 in fees. What..fees for a camera that doesnt work? That you know doesnt work. How can any self respecting decent business blackmail someone? So keep sending invoices and I will keep not paying.

Same as others, cancelled sub, asked where and how to return, they refused to provide details, now chasing constantly for months and months of subscriptions, numerous times i have told them i will return the cameras and they refuse.
Refused to provide any information i have requested. Avoid at all costs.

its clearly a very small, back street company looking to fleece people out of their money and will be reported as such- definite scam. Horrendous service and not even good cameras.

Appallingly poor product and vitriolic chasing down of payments. Never buy this product. Avoid at all costs.

Had no problems with cam, bought it to monitor grandaughter, it's worked fine. No longer needed for grandaughter, I now point it out the window, ok during day, but, not so much at night with LED.
You get the last 24 hours recorded, quality is not as good as photos on website, but fine for monitoring a room.
Slightly surprised at the negative feedback, I don't think I signed up for 2 years, I was given the impression it can be returned at any time, I'll find out when I do return it.
I chose it because it's a turnkey solution, not difficult to set up.

Same as everyone els returned camera still getting invoices and now court letter saying I owe them money please do not but this camera go to Amazon and buy yi camera much better item

Tried to cancel account could do it just get emails each month saying I owe money it’s been over 2 years not paying anything else rubbish camera anyway

For months I have been receiving two or three emails a week to my school email address. Each time it’s from a different person but selling the same product which I today found out is apparently produced by smart frog. Most of the time the sender refused to even give a company they just try to sell power points of science resources and request money. They never offer a free sample. This seemed like a scam so today I called out the sender on it and THEY complained! sending an email to my school complaining I called them a scammer. Sorry but after repeated requests to stop wasting my time if you still want to force advertise to me repeatedly then you forego the right to a polite response. I will never ever ever buy anything from this company.

Never again!!! Canceled and returned my camera and years later I still get invoices every month. Very unprofessional. Do not use !!!!!

Eigentlich hat die Kamera gut funktioniert und es gab nie großartige Probleme. Als ich allerdings mein Konto gekündigt habe, fing der Ärger an. Geld trotz Kündigung abgebucht, als der Kundenservice kontaktiert wurde, war der sehr unfreundlich und ich hat mir garnicht zugehört geschweige denn mich ausreden lassen. Werde die Kamera nicht mehr bestellen, da bei Problemen kein adäquater Ansprechpartner da ist.

I have been trying to cancel my subscription, it's impossible. The app keeps crashing. The one and only time I needed the history, I couldn't retrieve it. One star ?, Give smartfrog that one star for having a pretty website.

Awful poor video Emailed several times about the issue to get fobbed off terrible.

I had two Smartfrog camera's for 6 months, then unfortunately due to my financial situation I had to declare myself bankrupt. Smartfrog was included, the official court receiver sent them a cease and desist on the contract, yet now almost 10 months later they are still billing me every month for camera's that were returned last year, despite the debt being included in the bankruptcy. Absolute joke of a company. Bunch of crooks who ignore the law. DO NOT USE!

terrible customer service, i purchased 2 of these cameras from an auction they looked unused but because the previous owner is still registered to them i am unable to use them because smart frog will not reset them.... is this a way to make sure you only ever buy new ?

Discusting abusive staff and rude. Claim the cameras have not been sent back even though they was. Get emails from them saying to provide a receipt for tracking number and they will remover who keeps 2 month old bits of paper in there wallet. They have now been reported to watchdog as I feel there is a bit of a ongoing issue clearly someone is up to something with shipping and I think its to do with shipping there own cameras back abroad.

I have tried to leave in the past as I hardly use the camera but they said I’m in a contract of 24 months which I really don’t recall

So it’s annoying having to pay £5 a month I have 3 cameras so it’s £15

Camera quality is good overall it lags sometimes especially when I speak to my kids through it
But I’m not complaining

Can’t wait to finish this subscription

Absolute joke of a company. They are refusing to cancel any subscription as they have lost the cameras I RETURNED in 2018. Now saying I owe them £249. Customer service advisors are rude and extremely unhelpful.

I am now taking this further, and have reported to The UK ECC.

DON'T USE THEM!!!
