Buyer beware. Company sells credibility and scale upfront but is terrible to deal with once contract has been signed. Like others found the company to be unresponsive and provided me with proven false information on 2 occasions.

I signed a contract with 1KOMMA5 (Arkana Group) in January 2026 for a 42kWh battery and 15kW inverter, and paid the 10% deposit to begin the process. Installation was promised prior to the end of April before the Gov subsidies changed.

In March after almost 2 months of silence from the company I was told in writing that the Energex grid-connection application was underway. When I followed up, it became clear the application had not in fact been submitted at that point. It was lodged in late April, as an expedited request on the same day I raised the prospect of contacting Fair Trading.

In May after rescheduling install twice I received written confirmation that all stock was allocated and ready for my install. On the morning of the scheduled installation, after first being told installers were on the way I was told a critical component was unavailable nationally and the install could not proceed with no estimated date of when it would be able to be installed.

Throughout, I contacts the company over 20 times seeking updates, with the sales person and project manager either ignoring or providing a promise that someone would give me an update soon..

As things stand, the system is not installed and I terminated the contract for cause as I had no faith that the company could execute what we had agreed. I’m currently working through a complaint with Office of Fair Trading and will be seeking damages through QCAT due to the now higher cost of installing a system.

Writing this review 6 months after the installation of my 3 phase Solar 10 KW inverter , and 32kw 1Kommas 5 modular battery, I have not had one problem at anytime from the instal to APP provided to stay aware of what is happening with the solar system.on the few occasions i have had questions they either helped me straight away or always got back to me via email or phone , the people who run the show also sell , Install and maintained the system , i deliberately waited 6 months before giving this review, their warranty is 12 years , which was the best warranty you could get at the time, I couldn't recommend them highly enough , my Sales person was Karl and because of his attitude and helpfulness before and after the purchase, the deal was sealed .

UPDATE: I have now emailed them as they requested, I will let everyone know the outcome as its been 5 months I have tried to get someone there to discuss this issue rather than sell me more, lets see.

Smooth talking sales rep, promised one thing but the technical data and wording says otherwise, when I worked it out, they told me the product they gave me is what they quoted, I was told 21kwh and got a system that max's out at 15.5kw
Then they have attitude when I tell them Im not interested in buying more from them, I already got suckered into spending a further $11k after the initial install because my electricity bill was still out of control.

The sales person was professional and took time to explain technical details. He helped solved the issues around where our batteries needed to be placed. However on the day of installation, the contractor didn’t come with the material required to install the batteries where they were supposed to go. He wouldn’t accept that we would wait in order to have them placed in the agreed upon location. He chose to hang the batteries on the wall with a post next to them which has now prevented us from using the space for our trailer. We complained but the company told us they had done an investigation (without us) and would not correct the problem. They told us we could send them photographs of the space (already previously done) so they could give us a quote for the cost of putting the batteries where they should have been installed in the first place.
Further, they did not ask what we needed to be connected to the batteries in the event of a blackout. The contractor chose and expected us to just accept his decision even though he had connected the things we didn’t want and excluded that which we needed. After having a standup argument with him he connected power points.
In conclusion BEWARE and get everything in writing with all i’s dotted and t’s crossed.

We are repeat customer of this business, and they never disappoint. Emmett who was our salesman was friendly, knowledgeable, responsive and accommodating and no query was too hard.
His attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction is unparalleled.
We can’t say enough good things about this business. The quality of the installers work was exceptional and they also deserve 5 stars and we couldn’t be happier with the final result.
We’ve recommended them to all our friends and family, and we will continue to do so!

At the beginning, 1KOMMA5° Australia sounded fantastic. The sales team was welcoming, responsive, reassuring, and made plenty of promises about timelines, communication, and how smooth the process would be. Unfortunately, once they had our deposit, everything changed.

We went through the entire process in good faith, only to be strung along for months with repeated promises of installation dates that never eventuated. Every enquiry turned into another excuse, another transfer to a different department, or another staff member who was supposedly “unavailable.” Nobody ever took responsibility, and despite countless assurances that someone would call us back, nobody ever did.

The level of communication and customer service has been absolutely appalling. We wasted hours chasing answers, repeating ourselves to different people, and getting nowhere. It felt like once the money was paid, we no longer mattered.

We eventually cancelled our contract out of sheer frustration and repeatedly requested the return of our deposit. Even that has turned into another drawn-out battle, with ignored emails, no follow-up, and no refund received.

This has been one of the most frustrating and unprofessional experiences we’ve dealt with. Plenty of polished sales talk upfront, but once you’re signed up, the service completely falls apart. We absolutely would not recommend dealing with this company.

Great solution to simplify my once complicated solar system and great communication throughout the whole process, while also being competitively priced.

The communication was great all through the process. The initial meeting with Brock helped us understand the way the system would work. The install team arrived when they said they would and were professional and helpful. Follow up with the team was friendly and professional.

Apart from the two delays before the panels went up they where very good. From the person coming out to explain everything to the installers that put the panels and battery in all highly professional. Talking with Madison and asking questions she was very helpful.

I have had an electrician and Solar specialist come to inspect the batteries that 1komma5 installed.
I have contacted you many times about the batteries underperforming and we were told that the batteries would reduce our power consumption and would take over when we had power outages. The batteries have never reached full capacity, and our power bills have gone up. The poorest service ever. Please be careful dealing with this company.

While a fair delay between ordering and installation due to demand they kept me informed and up to date. Last minute changes were no problem. Installation was good and good quality at a good price with good follow up and back up and information. Friendly informed staff from project management to installation. Would recommend them anytime.

My experience with 1KOMMA5 started off on a frustrating note due to a lack of clear communication during the early stages of the process. The battery installation itself was flawless. The team arrived on time, worked efficiently, and demonstrated a high level of professionalism and technical expertise. Everything was set up neatly and functioned perfectly from day one.

What stood out most was their ongoing support after the initial problems. They followed up to ensure everything was running smoothly and remained available to answer questions. Overall, while the start was rocky, 1KOMMA5 showed integrity and dedication in delivering a quality outcome.

The whole process from start to finish was a very friendly experience from the salesperson and the installer who explained everything to me and to maddison for the check in very happy

From the initial sale to the current post installation support, we have been very happy with 1Komma5. Although our installation was slightly delayed, this worked in our favour because of the timing closer to the release of Heartbeat AI. We were clearly kept up to date all through the process by coordinators including Jake.

Battery installation went very smoothly - the installation team were on time, very professional, and gave us some excellent advice about inclusion of new power outlets to maintain connectivity for key electricals during outages. They also relabelled the switch board clearly.

We have been very happy with 1Komma5 and the support prior to and post installation. We are also unexpectedly learning about the energy market!

When we decided to install solar the main requirement was to pick a really good company to sign up with and as it turned out we made a great choice with 1KOMMA5 right from the first contact with Emmet all the way throughout the process to installation. The crew who installed our system was really good and friendly also booking co-ordinator Maddison was very helpful and friendly also.

Great overall experience from the initial proposal all the way through to installation. Booking in an installation took slightly longer due to the volume of appointments however its expected. Very professional and slick engagement all the way through the entire process. Would recommend strongly.
