I’ve given Talabat multiple chances
I’ve given Talabat multiple chances, but this has been beyond frustrating. For the last six orders in a row, my experience has been terrible. Either the food never arrives at all or it shows up extremely late—well past the expected delivery time. Every time, I end up waiting and wasting my time with no accountability from the company.
This is not a one-time issue—it’s a pattern. Six consecutive failures show a complete lack of reliability and customer care. For a food delivery app, the most basic expectation is to actually deliver the order on time. Sadly, Talabat has failed every single time.
Very disappointing. I will be switching to other apps that actually respect their customers.
Feels like a scam – stay away from Talabat
This company is a disgrace. I placed an urgent order for essential items for my baby. After 3 hours of waiting, support lied to me saying the driver would arrive in “10 minutes” and even pressured me to give a 5-star rating. One hour later, the order was canceled without warning. No delivery, no accountability, nothing but wasted time and stress. Unacceptable, misleading, and the worst customer experience I’ve had.

The estimated delivery time is a LIE and the additional charges are higher than the order’s price and on top of all of that you receive your order late and messed up and their riders can cuss you out and the management will tell you to stop complaining

I tried to reach what they call their “customer service” after a struggle — they don’t even have an official customer service number, which shows how unprofessional this company is.
📌 I sent them screenshots of the two transactions (totaling EGP 1,180) and filed a complaint. They said they would get back to me within 24 hours… but they never did.
📌 I contacted them again through their Facebook page, and they simply replied: “It’s a subscription!” — even though I never subscribed to anything.
💡 Summary: They are basically stealing people’s money under the name of a subscription!
✅ If you must deal with them, use cash only.
✅ There are many other apps and companies that are far more professional and trustworthy.

Then after 3 days I contact them again my request marked as “resolved” tho they did nothing about it didn’t refund nor send the missing items!! They called me and that person kept repeating the same sentence “sorry we tried to help you but the system not accepting “ and with all the things I said he kept saying it over and over like a robot! It was even more frustrating . stupid policies they literally said that they don’t have refunding or sending whats missing policy in iraq branch?!! Waste of Time and Money – Zero Customer Support
I’m shocked that a customer service team can’t resolve a basic technical issue. I can no longer access my account because my password stopped working. Instead of helping me reset it and regain access, the support team simply told me there’s nothing they can do!
I’ve spent money on this app and purchased vouchers, but now I’m locked out and they refuse to refund me or help me to gain access to my account. The app itself isn’t working properly, and when you run into problems the support doesn’t help. This has been a total waste of time and money.

Untrained representatives who just copy paste response from a template without even reading the issue & trying to understand & help. I was promised a refund in writing on the chat and then told later a refund would not be provided because I have requested too many refunds and am a suspicious customer- wow. Mind you, Talabat has to approve refund requests with proof. I do not make a decision on that. How absolutely ridiculous! How is it my fault that refunds were provided for orders that were not satisfactory? This is the most corrupt and unethical thing I have ever heard! I was made to feel like a criminal for them providing refunds for their own negligence! Shame on you Talabat!
7 different agents will use copy and paste responses to resolve your complaint and don’t have the ability to write English correctly. They have 0 comprehension and critical thinking skills and no one is quality checking their customer service. Clearly these people don’t use food apps in their own life so they are not aware of issues that arise when you order something! Their so called “immediate management” is absolutely pathetic and have no idea what they are doing!
Low level third class customer service agents who read off of a script with poor English but seem to have good English when they want to deflect and blame you! Extremely annoying agents with 0 skills that can’t handle anything!
Imagine not being able to call or email customer service but instead use a chat service with agents who copy and paste responses with no individual attention and care!

The worst experience I had in Dubai, they charged my card for an order and immediately cancelled due to technical issue. Called customer service, they informed me the money will be refunded immediately and asked me to order again and give them 5 star review. I did, nothing happened. I called again, same feedback money will be refunded within 5 days, waited and nothng happened. Five agents sending me same and telling me you will get refund within 30 minutes and asking me to give 5 star review for the contact!! After two weeks of chasing and lies, I escalated to consumer protection, someone called me from talabat and informed me that payment was never processed and he just processed refund. Lesson learned, don't trust them as they sub-contract cheap customer service who wouldn't mind lieing yo get review. I immediately uninstalled it and removed my cards and will never ever deal with this company again.

I am extremely disappointed with the customer support I received. This has been, without a doubt, the worst experience I’ve ever had with any company. This company clearly hires unprofessional, clueless agents who have no authority, no problem-solving skills, and no care for customers whatsoever.
I placed an order yesterday and received it incomplete, despite paying the full amount. I immediately contacted your customer support via live chat, providing clear proof with photos and specifying exactly which items were missing.
Instead of receiving a proper response or resolution, I was met with over 10 automated replies from different agents, all repeating the same generic apology without addressing my case. I still can't believe I got 10+ automated replies from different agents—all identical, meaningless, and useless.
Then I received 7 phone calls from different agents, and the responses were pure nonsense. The agents clearly lacked authority and professionalism. They are scripted! At one point, they told me that their system detected certain actions on my account that prevented them from resolving the issue. When I asked for clarification, they refused to explain due to “privacy reasons”—effectively avoiding responsibility and turning the blame on me. They admitted there was a problem with my order but claimed they couldn’t do anything because of vague “system restrictions.” When I asked for clarification, they refused to explain, hiding behind a "supposed privacy" policy. This is not just unhelpful. You are turning the blame on me without clear reasons? It’s insulting!
I asked multiple times for a supervisor escalation and a phone call from their supervisor to resolve the issue. Nothing happened. No supervisor ever called me back! My request was simply closed without fixing anything. For a company that claims to care about customers, this is a joke.
Even after 24 hours and repeated attempts, all I got were the same automated, generic replies. No explanation. No solution. No accountability. It’s obvious they do not care about their customers, service quality, overall customer satisfaction or basic human decency!
I am beyond frustrated. I expect a refund for the missing items or, at the very least, a discount coupon for this nightmare of a service.
This company has just lost a loyal customer. I will never use your service again.
To make matters worse, this company doesn't even provide a proper hotline to reach a real human or file a complaint. Another clear sign of unreliability and poor reputation. It's just a pure untrustworthy organization!
