The mechanic was really lovely, relaxed, polite and friendly. Car ran so much more smoothly after the service. He even helped me work out how to fit my parcel shelf - which wasn't straightforward! Many thanks for such an efficient service

Our vehicle was booked in through the AA for an MOT and service which was easy to do on the app. It wasn't ready to be collected when agreed and communication re collection could have been better.
We paid the garage directly for work done which included replacing a sensor to put out a light on the dash. This didnt work! We assumed this payment (over £1100) covered the MOT and service as a pending payment to the AA was not taken.
12 weeks later the AA took nearly £400 from our account! We will not be using this service again.

Poor communication from the AA regarding the status of my MOT repairs. Additional work was required after the MOT which the garage communicated to the AA but the AA didn’t let me know until 4 hours later which resulted in 48 Hours without a vehicle. Long queues on both the AA phone line and live chat when I chased for updates. Ended up speaking to the garage directly and we both then chased the AA team to send through an additional work approval request. Poor service, limited communication, garage was good, AA were poor

Arrived and was quickly into the job. After finishing, he advised me as to what had been done and a couple of items which needed attention at a later date.

The car has never run so well excellent ….

The mechanic was really helpful, unfortunately he could not diagnose the fault.
He made sure that myself and the car got to the nearest garage for further investigation

Advised me on other issues I had with my car even though that’s not what his job was for. He explained things easily so I could understand & was extremely helpful overall. Arrived on time, very smart appearance, well mannered and done a first class job. Would highly recommend 5 stars all day long.

It took 4 weeks to complete the repair. The mechanic (James, Worcester) was very good and went above and beyond in his efforts to source parts and complete the work. The serious problem seemed to be with the work management system and especially communication. Price for fitting and parts was in line with garage costs. I was given c7% goodwill discount but had to pay for a hire car while waiting the 4 weeks.

The mechanic arrived on time, to fit new brake pads and discs. He was friendly and professional. Top quality parts are a very competitive price.

Don't use Smartcare, just go to garages directly. Smartcare's communication is poor - no updates, no knowledge of the garage opening hours and no response to emails. On top of which, check what they charge you. In my case labour on tyre fittings which the garage does for free.

I had my car service and MOT done with AA Smart Care, and I am very pleased with the experience. The technician was friendly and professional, and I really appreciated the video inspection, where they showed and explained everything they were checking on the car in detail. The report was also sent to me promptly.

After having a very disappointing experience elsewhere previously, where I didn’t receive a proper report, felt pressured with additional recommendations, and had poor communication around a last-minute garage change, the difference was very noticeable.

With AA Smart Care, I felt informed, comfortable and able to trust the service. The whole process was smooth and transparent, which gave me peace of mind. I would definitely use them again.
