Travel made easy

Highly recommend. Well organised, good properties and helped sort out all the ancillary bits (transfers, ski passes, putting the itinerary together including restaurant bookings).

big call out to Joy who was very responsive, but the whole team who were on duty at The Freshwater in Hirafu

Such a pleasure to deal with.

I have found my communications with our accommodation prior to our holiday very helpful and polite. Nothing has been too much trouble. I'd like to mention Gizelle who has been there to deal with everything we've needed in a timely manner. We can't wait for our holiday to start.

Could not recommend Nisade & The Luxe…

Could not recommend Nisade & The Luxe Nomad highly enough! Accomodation options are 5 star, and their helpful staff are even better. They're always available to go above and beyond to make my trips over the past 3 years as incredible as possible. Special shout out to both Felix and Gizelle who exemplify this great service perfectly.

The Vale, Rusutsu

We travel to Rusutsu annually for the past 7 years. Since the opening of The Vale managed by Luxe Nomad, our experience there has been elevated. Great service by everyone in the team. We were assisted pre-arrival by Gizelle who helped with our private transfer and restaurant bookings. Thank you Gizelle for your wonderful service.

Fantastic service

Jan Cauilan from Luxe Nomad did an amazing job helping organize all the details of my family ski trip to Niseko. He was always so responsive and eager to assist. It made organizing the holiday so much easier for me. I highly recommend this service.

Excellent experience

Angel and everyone at Luxe Nomad made planning, organizing, and experience our trip to Niseko, Japan for 17 people a fantastic experience. After helping us reserve the right accommodations (a villa plus 2 hotel rooms in the nearby hotel), Angel stayed on top of transportation and dining arrangements and made sure that once we arrived, everything would be easy. When the inevitable snafu arose (our bus to the airport broke), the team jumped into action and found us alternatives to get us to the airport in time for our flight. Again, none of that is easy with a group of 17! We would definitely use Luxe Nomad again.

Angel is the best!

From the start, Angel was an incredible concierge. He has always gone above and beyond in his information and resources and services. He is prompt, helpful and has made our planning so easy. We even encountered a glitch within our group and he was able to quickly pivot and help us. We can't wait for our stay to arrive (5 days). Thanks Angel!

Not very "Luxe"

We've used a number of travel agencies and concierge services in the past. Decided to try Luxe Nomad for a trip to Niseko as we had previously used them for a villa stay in Bali (more than a decade ago).

Pretty disappointed overall - to say the least, their service offering was not very "lux". Everything felt "cookie cutter" cut & paste rather than personalised.

We had to keep chasing up to book daycare, rentals etc. Additionally, we also kept having to provide the same information and filling up information on a (Roomboss) link - which frankly is no different to doing it directly with the vendor themselves. As a comparison, when we had previously booked through another travel agent, I only had to send them information once - and they took care of all the bookings.

Restaurant bookings were a disaster - Luxe did not understand our needs (with 2 young kids). It was basically here are your list of restaurants and their booking links - go figure it out yourself. There were several occasions whereby a restaurant needed to be called - and of course each time Luxe couldn't get in touch with them. By the time Luxe sent an email notifying us that a restaurant had started accepting reservations, everything was booked out. Pretty much a waste of time.

Luxe was meant to send a final confirmation / summary a few days before we depart (on Sun). On Thurs - I still had not received anything so again I had to chase them. There were issues with the final summary - lift passes were incorrect, snowboard lessons were incorrect, no daycare orientation details were included (this needed to be booked in advance which wasn't done). They also actually provided bad information on "orientation" for the daycare (told us to show up 15mins prior to the actual drop off) as it's less about the parents and more so for the kids to get familiar with the environment. Anyways, at 6.30pm on Friday, there were still unanswered questions on our final summary. And we were flying out on Sun. There was no way to get in touch with them except for their generic customer experience email which we had been communicating.

When we showed up, the apartment/hotel told us that they were only informed about our requirement for a full sized crib the morning of our arrival. (This was our first requirement / ask even before we booked , and I also reminded Luxe multiple times throughout the process). They only had a pack & play which was too small for our toddler. Luxe's feedback was that this was standard size and crib rental companies also provided a similar size. I know this to be untrue as it's not our first trip to Niseko and we've stayed in other places which have provided a full sized crib.

We also requested a week in advance to change our return airport transfer pick up time by half an hour as we heard that the airport was a mess and wanted to give ourselves more time. Luxe's feedback was that this was not possible. When the car showed up, there was no car seat for my toddler. Again, this was a request that was raised multiple times throughout. The snowy conditions that day meant the car was crawling through a white out and my toddler did not have a proper car seat!

We will def not be using Luxe again - esp for a holiday / location that is a bit complicated as there is not much of a value add.

I'm very sorry to read about your experience with us in Niseko. As CEO of The Luxe Nomad, I want to personally apologise that we fell short during this trip.

Your feedback shows we dropped the ball in multiple ways - from the repetitive information requests, delayed trip documentation to issues with the crib. I'm particularly concerned that even though we confirmed the car seat requirement with our transfer partner, it wasn't provided during those weather conditions. This is not acceptable.

In regards to the Roomboss system which is used widely by local service providers in Niseko, it does have limitations and we are working on a tech solution with their platform that would improve the customer experience, but unfortunately that was not done in time for this winter.

I will reach out to you personally over email as we certainly do not want this to be your last memory of us - hopefully we can make it right by you.

Niseko Restaurant Bookings

I had an excellent experience liaising with Jessy. She was very professional, responsive, and took the time to understand exactly what I needed. The service provided was prompt, and the results exceeded my expectations.
