SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! Velvet Lane Boutique is a SCAM!!!! I bought a pair of jeans before finding this video and I got a cheap polyester pants that looked nothing like the photo. There was no label, sizing or care instruction. The size was completely off. On emailing for a refund, I just kept getting discount offers on my next purchase. When I insisted on a refund, I got a dodgy looking address label and instructions that it would likely cost more to return so instead accept a 30% discount. SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! SACAM!

Absolutely shocking! I can’t believe it! I ordered two shirts - two colours of the same item. What i received was two totally different tops- not like each other and not like the ones i ordered. I have emailed them and all they have done is offer 20% off my next item. I said i wanted what i paid for. They said they checked but they are sure they sent me the correct items. This of course is ridiculous. I have sent photos again but i suspect they won’t help me. I can’t believe it. Don’t buy anything from this shop. They don’t understand customer service. No integrity.

Ordered men's 2XL wool long coat.
I received a small polyester piece of garbage.
No refund offered when i contacted them, have to send the item to a warehouse in China to even be eligible for a refund.
This site is a complete scam.

Scam! I ordered 2 cashmere jumpers from Velvetlaneboutique, 'Melbourne'. What arrived a few weeks later is nothing like the advertised garments. There are no labels on the jumpers and the fabric is some type of polyester. They are some type of cheap 'knock off'. There is no address or phone number to contact the seller to request a refund. The items were sent from NSW with a PO Box number listed as the address. Buyer beware, I wish I had read the reviews prior to purchasing.

Scammer Beware! Velvet Lane boutique “Melbourne”, not from Melbourne , from “China”!

Ordered a 2x 3 pcs XL suit, it says HUGO brand, delivered with no brand name, size small, and very thin material cannot even be worn due to very poor quality and will rip apart. It cost me $418.00 plus an international transaction fee of nearly $15.00.

Flee from this website! To return these 2x sets of suits to China will cost me an extra 50 pounds as what their reply to my email, and will be fortunate if they will return my money.

Fortunately my bank refunded my money.

Shocking - DO NOT PURCHASE. Sent wrong size, keep sending links to their refund policy which doesn’t state where to send or how to receive refund. Turns out you have to send back to China. Scam. This is not an Australian company.

this is a scam, low quality clothing from china. doesnt even have a logo on the tag, just a blank piece of material. and says made in china. paid over $100 for a cheap jacket probably worth $5 from Temu. Very very disappointed in these scammers. Ive asked for a full refund so see how that goes.

Absolute scam. do not buy. Ordered trouser and what came was a pair of cheap, ridiculously large ugly pair. I have been asking for a refund as they are not worth doing anything with but of course, they want me to post it to China! what a surprise.

Update: You aren't sorry. You send the same reply every time I e-mail you (the same reply on here as well) and you will not give me a refund for the crappy trousers you sent and pocketed the money. RIP OFF.

Low quality drop shipping business. They advertise as a Melbourne based fashion brand but are juat a faceless dropshipping business that ships from China. Shipping takes weeks.

I've ordered a classic style beige jacket in a size 12, which I am. What a shocker! The fabric was nothing as described and looked almost like a microfibre type. The shoulder cut was so big, like a size 16 in the 12 jacket and the arm length was like size 16.. and I have long arms. Threads were left hanging in the buttonholes and the buttons were ghastly and a bad choice. The delivery was not particularly quick either.
I couldn't even be bothered returning it, to the company's delight I'm sure, because it went straight in the bin, not even worthy of a donation store.

Cancelled order within 1/2 hour of making it and received email to say items already shipped. Their website clearly states cancellations are honored within the 24 hours.
Following emails from Velvet Lane totally unacceptable taking no responsibility. Obviously this is a complete con and not a legitimate company.

They advertised a "Zara" branded trench coat and I ordered a 2xL as a gift for Mum. They sent something which has a label in a different language and it wasn't Zara. They misrepresented the item. And it was a size small but didn't have any size label on it.

Cheap, overpriced and misrepresented items.

When I requested a refund they insisted to give me a 20% discount for future orders if I don't return this. Then they said it will cost me 50 pounds to return ship it to China.

DO NOT BUY FROM VELVET LANE...THEY ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE!!

SCAM! BUYER BEWARE. NOT located in Melbourne. Cheap awful products from China. No honest return policy .. they say you have to pay for the postage back to China and then quote you an exorbitant price in English Pounds. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE. If you have and your experience is negative, let others know report them and post a review. They need to be closed down

Do Not shop at velvet lane , what you receive is nothing like the images and very very poor quality .

I bought a xxxl jumper. I canceled the order in much less than 24 hours, but they refused to cancel it, even though their policy states that you have 24 hours to cancel. It was much smaller and came without any labels. When I asked to return the item, they asked for 100$ for shipping. STAY AWAY from them.

Do Not Shop at Velvet Lane — Misleading and Poor Quality!
I ordered a jacket from Velvet Lane that was advertised as genuine leather. What I received was cheap, low-quality, and clearly 100% plastic. Totally disappointing and not what was promised. Avoid this site — save your money and shop elsewhere.

Ordered 2 x 3 XL shirts.
Received 2 x XS although that’s just a guess because they were clearly cast off quality because all labels had been removed. I do know my 18 year old daughter who weighs 60kg couldn’t even fit into them.
Since then it’s been about a month of me emailing them, being fed false promises of replacement shirts are coming but nothing. I’ve have to instigate every contact. And by now I’m just classing this company as a pack of thieves. Do not go near them.

Oh my goodness where do I start with the appalling customer service of this sham company. I placed an order online and within approximately 20mins requested it to be cancelled. I was told it couldn't be cancelled as it had already been processed for delivery. The tracking information actually indicated it had been cancelled and returned to the supplier. Still they would not give a refund. Parcel has since been sent (after they figured out the correct order number) again and to date 04/06/2025 I still have not received anything...... not that I want it anyway. Please please please DO NOT buy from this company.
Oh and if anyone from the company bothers to read this please don't ask me to contact your support service as they have been absolutely NO use as all. They just seem to follow the party line - "sorry we understand your frustration" yet they are not willing to assist any further than to ensure a parcel I DO NOT WANT is sent to me.

The product was nothing like what was advertised on the website, the boots looked completely different and were clearly not leather. When I tried to cancel the order within 24 hours of my original order as per their terms I was told my order had already been processed. Once I received the order and requested a refund I was told I would need to ship them back to China with insurance at a cost of 50 euros, before they would approve the refund and I
could accept a 20% discount on a future purchase instead. When I complained again I was offered a 70% discount on a future order. It was only when I lodged a dispute with PayPal that they offered me a refund and to keep the boots if I withdrew the dispute, they also said it could take up to 30 days for my claim to be resolved, to pressure me to drop the dispute. It has not taken 30 days and I am getting my money back from PayPal. I have not heard anything since from these thieves.
