With my last problem with Venn, I started to think this is a so unprofessional online bank, but everytime I had any issue, Taylor has always helped me. It takes the time that it takes, but we always got a solution. I even got connected online to a technician who were able to guide me to find the problem and resolve it. I was extremely impressed with Venn's support when connecting an external bank account. The response was prompt, thorough, and highly professional. I was attracted by the deal on incorporation that offers a $350 bonus on a $449 provincial incorporation, resulting in a net price of $99 for provincial incorporation. They went ahead with the incorporation and then rejected me for the bank account, despite the fact that I qualified for it based on a careful review of all the requirements on their site. Bottom line: they ended up charging me $449 for something that I was expecting to pay $99 for with the promotion, and that I could have done directly on the Ontario government site for $300.

This is misleading advertising. They are offering something for a lower price then charging more. I requested a refund, but they claim the incorporation is a separate service, even though on the website they make it very clear that it's a package deal.

EDIT AFTER VENN'S REPLY: I am not complaining about not getting the bank account. (Although the requirements are transparent as mud). I am complaining about being charged for the bank account that was not provided. This is effectively what happened, because otherwise why would I pay extra for a service I can buy cheaper directly from the provincial government? The incorporation service on its own adds zero value, all it does is slow the process down. It takes 5 minutes to incorporate with the government, and at least 1-2 days with Venn.

Taylor was quick to help and assured me my concern would be resolved. They were friendly and assisted with troubleshooting. This was a great experience.

Fast response, easy to deal with.

I am supposed to be receiving my pay through Venn. I have had a very frustrating experience from the beginning. I was required to provide my address, email address, and banking information through these online bots, trustworthiness? When I should have bern able to just provide my contact information and email. I then get an email stating I was transfered the monies, on a Saturday but the email is only sent on Monday, there is a confirmation no. which has no importance as my bank investigated and thru have no records of this money and had me rearrange my e transfer settings just to be sure.

You can't contact a human being for clarification or investigation, just the bots which only place the blame on other parties leaving you going around in circles and no pay. This is still unresolved.

I had reached out to other Canadian neobank/fintechs about their onboarding processes so I could offer it as an option to my business startup clients. My emails would go unanswered.
