Our driver, Tony, was a gem. Very professional with good knowledge of the area and tour stops. Very funny and we laughed a lot. He was very helpful and even helped me locate my missing suitcase on arrival at Burtonwood. (a porter had put it in the wrong bay). The tour itself was fabulous except the distillery stop which was basically a shop and cafe. We thought we'd get a look at the makings of whiskey etc. Didn't really see the point in stopping there. The hotel wasn't the best. Requested a table for two but they don't do that apparently and a 'table for two' was added on to a table for eight. We like to eat on our own so didn't enjoy that. However the food and staff were very good. Entertainment was on for 2 nights but was in the restaurant sitting at the same dinner places (with full lighting on one night). Not very pleasant. Our room was a decent size but needed more 'table top' space. We had to make tea/coffee on the same table as drying hair, charging appliances etc. No housekeeping service. Had to ask reception for fresh towels if needed. Bathroom floor was very slippy after a shower. Quite dangerous. All in all we coped for 4 nights but enjoyed the coach tour very much. We were seated on the back seats 4 with middle one free until a over 20 stone male with obvious mental health issues arrived ,Totally squashed fell8w passenger complained to driver ,Told that he could leaves him and wife at the first services ,! Also rude to my wife who also complained ,a spare seat was vacant ,at front ,after more was said this useless driver told the woman she had to let one of us move to that seat ,which she said as long as it's not a man ,sexual discrimination ,so for the rest of this dire journey,the couple were separate, What a fiasco sat either side of this huge fidgeting fool with no socks on and constant smells emitted, The back seat has room for 4 only the middle needs removing for safety and comfort reasons ,As I have severe back pain ,the other man heart and breathing problems made it extremely uncomfortable ,This 20 stone passenger needed 2 seats not 1,This driver Stuart was unprofessional and rude ,all at the front heard his abuse of the complainant ,If Alfa are this bad never again ,

Someone drives for me, very happy driver, all trips are in the price, and for me to do what I like on my free day

The days out were very well thought out and the venues were all excellent in they're own way.
Our driver Chris was great. Very amicable and acommodating.
Hotel was dated but the staff were friendly and helpful.
Food was tasty and well presented, but limited for choice.
Overall a very enjoyable holiday.

Our holiday “Great Little Trains Of Wales” was very enjoyable. The hotel (Hydro, Llandudno) was very comfortable, as was our room and the food also was enjoyable.
The excursions were very good except for the Llanberis Lake Railway excursion, which was much curtailed because of work around the line. The very short distance travelled on the train made it not worthwhile. An alternative outing would have been much preferable.
Our other complaint relates to the journey home. We were due to be dropped off at Dewsbury, but the coach passed quite close to our destination only to go on to Leeds Skelton Lake Services, where we were met with chaos and confusion. There was no information or indication of which feeder coach we needed to board (no signage of destinations and which stand) and the delays in sorting and transferring cases was excessive (almost an hour and a half). After all this we had to travel back again to Dewsbury.
Unfortunately, this experience has put us off any further holidays involving interchanges.

New coastal resort to us as not been on the West coast of Scotland so hotel ideal location with excursions that were interesting & beautiful views, with efficient ferry trips, good coach.
Staff were helpful & polite, & busy as we were one of four coach parties there. Clean room, amenities, comfy lounge furniture, always someone manning desk at reception where helpful information given.

First class hotel with attentive staff and adequate food.

Excellent hotel good driver the organisation was excellent although the Burtonwood change was a bit stressful

The coach was comfortable, and wifi was a bonus. Melrose scenery was amazing, especially the journey home through Yarrow valley. Hotel Waverly was fine,staff were friendly,but food wasn't always hot and staff shortages didn't help. Room was OK but walk in shower very small. Entertainment wasn't abd the weather was great, so all in all it was good.

A VERY NICE BREAK,BUT A LONG DRIVE,HOTEL GOOD FOOD EXCELLENT,STAFF VERY ATTENTIVE AND COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER.WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH EVERY THING THANKS.

The Hydro Hotel in Llandudno was excellent. It was very clean. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The food was very good with plenty of choice. Our driver Damian was brilliant very informative on trips and very funny.

Not enough time to visit the interesting places , especially Winchester. Hotel and staff were excellent Route to the bedrooms we were in was not really suitable for elderly with mobility issues Meals and service were excellent. Enjoyed the holiday overall with Alpha

Very friendly and helpful bus driver and staff at the hotel. Well organised trip. Although I would have liked the option to upgrade to first class for the train experience.

An excellent holiday to a new destination helped by the
knowledge of our driver Neil. Included visits around the Island which enhanced the basic programme except the stop at Ramsey had little to add.
Restaurant staff in the hotel were mainly young who could not have been more friendly or helpful and were a credit to the Island. Great selection of food that covered everyone's tastes.

THIS WAS THE 1ST TIME I'VE BEEN TO YARMOUTH, AND IT WAS A NICE PLACE TO SEE. THE HOTEL WAS OK, ONLY 3 STARS, BUT THE STAFF WAS GREAT. I HAD A BIG ROOM AS I AM A DISABLED MAN. IT WAS A VERY NICE ROOM, BUT I WAS LEFT-HANDED, SO I HAD SOME PROBLEMS, BUT I WORKED IT OUT IN THE END. FOOD WAS ALL RIGHT; COULD BE BETTER. TRIPS OUT WAS OK. ONLY WENT ON ONE, AS I COULD NOT DO ALL OF THEM. ONE BAD THING WAS COMING HOME: THE DRIVER WAS AN ASS; HE DID NOT KNOW THE WAY AND HAD HIS TOM TOM TO TELL HIM.

Staff all round were great I was on my own asmyfriend took ill 2dats before.theywent out if their way to ensure I was OK.

Robert the driver, was very efficient. Gave clear instructions as to times and places etc., the excursions were well planned and very interesting.
I like Skelton lakes as an interchange. The only downside side was stopped at services for the breaks. Could you not find better places, lots of garden centres have cafes and better amenities. Also 15 minutes isn’t really long enough for older people to get to the toilet and get a drink.
All in all it was a very good holiday and I have already booked my next trip.
