This is the worst appliance repair…
This is the worst appliance repair company! They came to fix my dryer at my place of work....I paid around $800 for the repair. It stopped working again 3 months later and the tech showed me the wires that he said was a fire hazard and almost caught fire. It was the same issue as the 3 months prior and they try to tell me the issues were not related even though I needed the same parts. They tried to tell me it would be another $800 to fix 3 months after fixing it. Customer service is also the most rudest, ignorant, people. Also, when you ask for a manager they don't speak to you directly over the phone, they only email you. What kind of business doesn't have a manager that will speak to you? He responded twice to my emails (who knows if it was actually a manager or just a customer service rep) then ignored me. Never use this company.
Misleading Pricing and Disputed Repair…
Misleading Pricing and Disputed Repair Charges
I am writing to expose my experience with Appliance Repair Team regarding the repair of my Frigidaire stove.
When I called to request a quotation, I was specifically informed that the initial service fee would be $80 for a technician to attend my home and diagnose the issue. I was also told that once the problem was identified, I would only be responsible for the cost of the replacement parts and that the initial service fee would be waived.
However, when the technician arrived, he immediately informed me that the diagnostic labor fee was $290 and that diagnosing the issue would take approximately 30 minutes. This was significantly different from the information I had received over the phone.
The technician then inspected the stove, spending approximately four to five minutes working on it while repeatedly using his phone to send text messages.
After this brief inspection, he stated that the diagnostic was complete. He verbally explained that he had tested the relevant components and checked the connections to determine the cause of the problem. When I asked him to show me exactly what he had done, he pointed out the areas he claimed to have tested.
Based on this diagnosis, he informed me that the stove required a replacement Frigidaire control unit and quoted a repair price of $997.13 plus tax. He also told me that the part was obsolete In Canada and available only in the United States.
However, after conducting my own research, I found the same control unit available from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for approximately $299, with stock available in Canada. This raised serious concerns about the accuracy of the information I had been given and the significant difference between the part's price and the amount quoted by the company.
The technician subsequently returned to replace the control unit with over 2.5 hrs. delay. The replacement took less than 15 minutes. When I asked to keep my original, damaged control unit, he refused, stating that he needed to take it back for warranty purposes. I was not given the opportunity to retain the original part or independently verify what would happen to it.
I am concerned about the lack of transparency regarding the diagnostic fee, the pricing of the replacement part, and the refusal to return my original component.
I disputed the remaining balance of $338.03 because I believe the charges were not presented transparently and that the company had misrepresented the initial service fee and the availability and pricing of the replacement part. The technician then left my home after threatening to refer the outstanding balance to collections.
I consider this experience unacceptable. Customers should be provided with clear and accurate pricing, honest information about parts availability, and a transparent breakdown of repair charges before being expected to authorize and pay for a service.
Explain why I was quoted an $80 initial service fee over the phone but was subsequently told that the diagnostic fee was $290.
Explain the basis for charging $997.13 for the control unit when I found the same part available in Canada for approximately $299.
Explain why my original, damaged control unit was not returned to me and provide written clarification regarding its disposition.
Bottom line, do yourself a favor and do not use this Company!!!

Its a scam
Its a scam! the $80 service fee is o ly to come to yoir front door. They then charge a labour fee of atleast $280 to diagnose your issue. They quoted me a total of $930 to change the ignitor on my oven, and with another company cost only $350. I also blame google for contuning to sponsor them and not allow direct reviews. Google is supporting these scammers.
A Horrible experience!!
They came out to repair my washer, and made it worse. Removed a part he thought was the problem which was perfectly fine. I had called another Technician who came out and diagnosed the problem. I had kept the part he replaced and showed it to the new Tech. He confirmed the part was fine. The motor was fried. We opted out of replacing the motor and are purchasing a new washer. The Tech from the A Team had no clue how to repair an appliance. Do yourself a favor, Stay away from these scammers!!! Brutal!! Oh, and he blew a fuse.
Extremely Disappointing Experience – Beware Before You Pay
Do not trust this website under any circumstances!
This website appears at the top of Google search results when you search for almost any home appliance or electronics brand. However, in my experience, everything seems to be carefully set up to attract customers. Even the reviews section is closed, and the only contact information provided is a phone number. The addresses listed are also unreliable.
Unfortunately, I contacted them without doing enough research. A technician came to my home to repair my dryer. Without opening the machine or properly inspecting it, he listened to the noise I described and concluded that the pump needed to be replaced. At that point, the diagnosis did not seem unreasonable.
He issued an invoice for $540 and asked me to pay $380 upfront to order the replacement part. I was told that he would return within 10 days to replace the part and complete the repair.
Today, five months have passed since I paid the deposit, and my dryer is still not repaired.
Despite numerous phone calls and emails, I have been unable to resolve the issue. The only response I receive is that if I want to cancel, I will get back only $50, while the rest of my payment will be deducted for the technician’s service call and labour.
In my opinion, this business practice is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about how customers are being treated. I believe customers should be aware of this experience before deciding to use their services.
I have personally filed a complaint with Consumer Protection Ontario and am currently following up on the case.
Please be careful, do your research before choosing a repair company, and don’t make the same mistake I
AVOID THIS COMPANY!
AVOID THIS COMPANY!
Technician arrived, I told him the problem, he did not examine the appliance but wrote up a work order. He ordered a part that can be bought online for ~$150, at a price of $332, plus a "Service Fee" of $250, for a repair that would take at most 10 minutes. Paid up front, debit or cash only, no credit cards.
A shady, dishonest, and unscrupulous outfit. I canceled the work order after I read some reviews (my bad for not checking first) and will get a refund of little more than half of what I paid upfront - assuming I get anything at all.
Advice to every one this firm are…
Advice to every one this firm are cheater crocks and bluffer the just take your money with ZERO repair they send you a technician who knows nothing.
Extremely Disappointed
Extremely Disappointed – Unprofessional Service and Poor Communication!
I do not recommend this company at all! My experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. The staff members are very unprofessional, impolite, and lack basic customer service skills.
I initially paid for a technician to come and inspect my washing machine. After looking at it, he informed me that a part was missing and assured me he would return within two days. However, he never showed up, and nobody from the company bothered to contact me with an update.
I had to call the company myself, only to be told that the technician would not be returning for another week! To make matters worse, when the scheduled day finally arrived, they cancelled the appointment.
When the technician eventually returned, he claimed to have fixed the issue but left without even demonstrating that the washing machine was working properly. When I tried using it, the exact same problem was still there! Keep in mind, I had already paid for a repair that clearly had not resolved the issue.
I contacted the company again to request that the technician return and properly fix the washing machine. They initially booked me an appointment for the same day, only to cancel it later and push my appointment back several more days.
This is completely unacceptable! I have wasted my time, paid for a service that did not resolve my problem, and repeatedly had to chase this company for updates. There is absolutely no accountability, professionalism, or respect for customers’ time.
If a customer pays for a repair, the least a company can do is ensure the appliance is actually working before leaving and take responsibility when the issue has not been fixed.
I would strongly advise others to think twice before using this company. Save yourself the money, time, and frustration!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Absolute joke.
Honestly, I’ve never dealt with a more unprofessional, rude team in my life.
I booked a dryer repair, and they confirmed my address and postal code twice over the phone. They gave me a 1 PM – 4 PM window, so I took time off work and skipped calling other companies to wait around for them.
• 2:00 PM: They called saying the tech was late and pushed the window to 2 PM – 5 PM.
at 4:30 PM- No call, no show. I called them for an update and got put on hold for 10 minutes.
The lady gets back on the phone and casually goes, "Oh, we actually don’t serve your area. Mistake on our end."
They confirmed my location twice and made me wait nearly 4 hours just to tell me they couldn't even come—and only because I chased them down.
When I started explaining how incredibly frustrating this was and how much it messed up my day, she literally snapped, “Nothing can be done in this matter,” and hung up right in my face.
Completely unreliable, zero customer service, and zero respect for people's time. Save yourself the headache and call literally anyone else.

The guy came over quoted me $1,500 to repair my $2,500 stove. That's a year and a half old. The guy did not seem competent. I ended up going through another company and got it repaired for $750
Scam
Scam - you need to stay away. I believe other consumers should be aware and never make any payment to The A Team Appliance Repair.
I contacted the company about a refrigerator repair that was urgent. I was initially quoted $80 for a diagnostic, but when the technician attended, I was required to send an e-transfer of $316.40 before any work could proceed. Shortly afterward, I was told that a part was required and was quoted $880 for the repair.
The part was never delivered and the repair was never completed. I never got a clear answers about the transaction, including the status of the supposedly ordered part and the services I had paid for. I have documented the matter and reported my experience to the police, the BBB and consumer-protection channels. I am also aware of other consumer complaints involving similar concerns.
This company is a scam
This company is a scam. My washer stopped during the wash cycle and would not restart. After several hours of troubleshooting, the technician determined that the motherboard needed to be replaced because the machine was not receiving the required safety signal, which was preventing the wash cycle from running.
I asked whether replacing the motherboard would resolve the issue and restore normal operation. The technician was confident that it would. Based on that assurance, I authorized the repair and made a payment of $711.00, representing 70% of the total cost. I was advised that the remaining balance would be due once the washer was successfully repaired during the follow-up visit.
The replacement motherboard arrived promptly, and I received a call the following day to schedule a second service visit.
Two technicians attended the appointment. After approximately 20 minutes, I was informed that the washer was operating again, so I went to inspect the machine. Unfortunately, within seconds, the washer stopped once more. I never got washer fixed. Not a penny refund either.
This company is a scam—do not use them
This company is a scam—do not use them. They charged my elderly father $1,649.93 for a part that only costs $180, and they never even returned with the part.
Samsung ice maker repair.
Samsung ice maker repair.
The first time the repair man came he wanted us to pay up front for the service and an outrangeously priced part we didn't have yet. We paid the service call and half of the part and nothing had been fixed. So they had to come back. During this time I read all the negative reviews and figured we would be scammed as well. We went to another service dealer and was told the price of the part was outrageous. When he came back we told him we didn't want service and we wanted a refund for the part. We were surprised that we got our refund two days later. The service man was nice about it even though I got slightly nasty with him. Maybe they are starting to improve customer relations but they also need to improve pricing
Our four-year-old Samsung refrigerator…
Our four-year-old Samsung refrigerator stopped making ice, so we contacted this company for help. A technician arrived, quoted $265 for labour, and assured us he would diagnose and repair the issue.
Instead, he spent roughly 20 minutes connecting what appeared to be basic diagnostic devices, took several personal calls, and responded dismissively when we asked whether he was actually addressing the problem. He dismantled parts of the refrigerator, asked to use our vacuum, and then claimed we needed an ice-maker and defroster assembly—without providing a clear explanation or contacting his company to confirm the parts or pricing.
He later quoted approximately $400 for parts, insisted on debit payment rather than credit, and required us to pay $530 upfront, with another $230 still owing after installation. No repair was completed during the visit.
The pricing, communication, and diagnostic process were deeply concerning and appeared completely unprofessional. We felt pressured into paying for a service that produced no actual repair or convincing diagnosis. We will be reporting this experience to the Better Business Bureau and investigating further.
Consumers should be extremely cautious before allowing this company into their homes. Get everything in writing, demand an itemized quote, and do not feel pressured to pay on the spot.
DECEITFUL BUSINESS PRACTICE/ SCAM OPERATION.
I called this company to have a look at my subzero refrigerator for beeping sounds coming from the freezer compartment. Service technician came late and told me he was going to check the fridge. After 5 mins he said he needs to service the fridge to diagnose and fix problem. After 25 mins , he could not fix the issue as discussed and informed me that they will need to order parts to fix the problem. He charged $320 plus tax for just servicing which did not fix problem as claimed. Furthermore he now demanded $2500 plus tax to replace gasket, switch control and defroster.

SCAM
Please Please Please! Read the reviews of this company, not only on Google but also the Better Business Bureau, and any website. I called The A Team Appliance Repair…
I called The A Team Appliance Repair for service on my Electrolux dryer that was losing heating intermittently. The booking agent was very clear: it would be $80 + tax, which included the diagnosis and a report. Any actual repairs (labor + parts) would be separate. I booked based on that information.
A technicians arrived 2–3 hours later. They stayed for 45 minutes, inspected the dryer, and told me it needs an ignition assembly at the price of $581 and labour $200. He then said the diagnosis fee was $280 + tax (or a total of $280 + tax for the visit), claiming the $80 was only a "booking fee" for showing up. This directly contradicted what the booking person had told me.
I paid the $280 + tax to avoid further hassle and threats of collection. They don't have an HST number on the invoice but collected HST.
