HORRIBLE RIP OFF ARTISTS and secretary that takes the calls is rude and ignorant! When we booked the appt they said it was $80 service call. After looking at the dishwasher, he said it would be an additional $200 to fix the main board circulation system. I told him to go ahead. After about 15mins he said that it was actually the circulation motor assembly which would cost an additional $600 for the part. The actual machine cost only $900 brand new! So he said what he did for the main board would last another month or so but after he left, i tried the machine and the arm was still not spinning. So for $280 I paid for him to misdiagnose the problem and then try to rip me off by charging 3x for the part. I called to tel them his quick fix actually did nothing but she basically said that additional $200 was for him to diagnose the problem and they dont do refunds. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE

Stay way from this company ! They charged me $800 to fix my fridge and the fridge was not fix after all . Plus they changed you cash so you can’t get you credit card to return your money. After they do not listen to you hanging the phone on your face . Terrible customer service . This is a ripoff stay way from them

TOTAL SCAM GOOGLE SHOULD NOT ALLOW THEM TO ADVERTISE ON THEIR WEBSITE.

The head office quoted an $80 diagnostic fee, then the guy comes and charges $300 for diagnostic... this company is criminal enterprise.

​Extremely disappointed. I called The A-Team Appliance Repair, but a technician in a Protek uniform showed up. The fee was supposed to be $80, but they charged $260. To make matters worse, the diagnosis was completely wrong. When I tried to contact them to resolve this, they hung up on me. Total scam.Avoid both companies.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with The A Team Appliance Repair. I paid nearly $1,000 to have our commercial fryer repaired, but the technician was unable to properly diagnose the problem. Instead, they installed the wrong part, and the fryer still wasn’t working. Very unprofessional company

The were responsive and came promptly and as agreed.. but they refused to provide any diagnostic details on the paper service call form left and only provided vague descriptions of the diagnostic issue on the email report…
They also refused to provide a cost breakdown of the various components to be replaced..
They don’t seem to want to share any cost transparency.
I wouldn’t use them again or recommend..

They are bad news. The repair guy comes in tells me this is the problem with the washing machine for which I will have to open up the machine to tell you if it needs repairing or replacement. Ask me this is the cost thats $300 and he will come next day to do the same, keeping in mind he did not mention that if its a replacement and not a repair it will be another cost over that for the replacement. That's exactly what happened he comes in the next day opens the machine tells me the machine part needs replacement and it will be an extra cost. Over that the customer service was worse the female I spoke to was the worst person I have seen in customer service, doesn't know what to say had major attitude and no skills for the job. I would recommend no one to use there services as they are liars and dont know how to earn a customer. I feel if they really wanted to keep the customer they would have adjusted the amount towards replacement as no repair was done. I paid $300 for service as she kept saying and I did not receive any service. Over that she said she is ok to pay that amount for no service.

Total Rip-OFF: On the phone I was quoted a $80,- estimate fee. However, today, two technicians arrived to check my faulty 6y old washing machine. They inspected my machine quickly (less than 5 min) and quoted me a labour cost of $280,- assuming they could fix it right now. Should they require parts, they would be extra, but most like would be in the $200 to $400 range. I agreed to the $280,- labour cost. After an additional 10 min of investigation they concluded that my gear box would need replacement (at a cost of $1500+): hence the repair of the machine would not be worth it.
So I still had to pay the $280,- + Tax labour cost, and now I need to get a new machine...

THESE PEOPLE NEED TO BE STOPPED! THIS CANNOT GO ON...ITS A SCAM SYSTEM
3 months I struggled to get my washer fixed. They came 7 times to fix the issue and each time it wasn't the correct part. I spent $1600 on a washer that was 15 years old. I know that was stupid but.....it all started with $300.00 for a mother board re-set, that didn't work so then it was a water line connection that didn't work then it turned into a drain issue, that didn't work.....and before you know it you are in DEEP
THE END WAS NEEDING A NEW MOTOR WHICH CAME AFTER 6 WEEKS AND WHEN IT WAS BEING INSTALLED...OOOPS THIS MOTOR DOESN'T FIT, NEED TO TAKE IT TO BE REWIRED AND TOOK MY MOTOR WITH THEM.
After crying and begging, they came back weeks later with the rewired motor which DID not work and they said looks like we need $800 for a new Mother Board. Isn't that where we started.......
I finally gave up......I realized this was a scam
They were so nice when they came, offered to do little fixes like clean my dryer vent to seem ethical.

You can only get a hold of someone through the customer service agents that work for them. There is no manager or owner to talk to. I was told to send email but it was the customer service people who responded and no help at all.

It made me feel so stupid and I worry about all the other people who get sucked into this mess.

Our oven was not holding its temperature so we called what had been advertised as a local Cambridge service person. The A Team person came and simply changed a burnt out wire. He then added $200 to the $80 (quoted) service charge and informed us that the bill had to be paid by cash or debit! He also made out a list of parts, including a temperature sensor, needed to fix the problem totalling $472. After paying the $316 my wife ended the visit. After he left, my wife found that the oven, air fryer and broiler were not working!! After a long story we found a local service company we could trust and he informed us that the temperature sensor had been left unplugged and that was the problem all the time! If the original service person had been honest, the bill would have been less than $200 and everything would have been working!!!
Why are these people still in business???

The tech showed up and asked for $280 service charges without even trouble shooting the issue with slide in glass top stove. (One of the burner element not turning on, which was already informed at time of booking appointment) Very unprofessional and poor service. I do not recommend to call them for any repairs.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are crooks. The apparent technician came into our house to fix dryer. Did not speak English.Only looked at outside of dryer with his eyes and took picture with phone. Not 1 single tool was used to check anything on dryer. Gave a bill to replace motor that was almost $400. Did not open up anything to check part. Was fixed following day by a good company and Motor was working only needed a new belt. The company then proceeded to charge over $90 for a service call. No service was done only a $90 picture was taken. You have been warned. I will report to better business bureau. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

After diagnosing my dryer, I was quoted a repair costing over $1,400 and paid close to $900 deposit. Over the following months, the company repeatedly cancelled or missed scheduled appointments. When I finally hired another appliance repair company, the technician determined that the problem was a broken timer knob, temporarily fixed it during the visit, and the replacement part cost just over $100. This was a very different diagnosis from the extensive repair originally proposed.
Despite never completing the repair, the company refused to provide a reasonable refund
My experience was one of inflated repair recommendations, repeated failed appointments, and poor customer service.

This is a scam. They force their way into your house, and prey on the elderly. Avoid at all costs. My mother ended up being scammed out of 6K, and they didn't actually do any work. Disgraceful.

Stay away for this unprofessional AH. They were fixing my stove since April 2026 and still today is not working and my fridge too (This people is a headache) and because I called today and the labor cover expired (it was for a month - THEY NEVER SAID ANYTHING) I have to pay for the stupid technician $50 in cash or debit (weird) to continue playing this wasting time and money.

If there was an option to press negative S stars I would press, why S and not -999? S standing for Scam. So heres the deal. I'm not gonna reveal my identity as they threat to reveal your information which they received by their fake google doc receipt, so im just gonna say One of my Househould Appliances was broken, their "Technician" (Literally a dad with a fake job scamming thousands) comes with his own broken car, not even a business vehicle. Already a red flag!, Asks us to sign papers before beginning work/done fixing?????? On the papers it says whatever happens is on you, so yeah another red flag. Comes in, Takes a drink from us, still smiling with his 8 year old face, Takes 20 minutes by just pressing buttons, and then says Your appliance will be fixed in 9 hours 💀💀. Ok so by red flags this is another one, When you pay and sign documents before your appliance isn't actually fixed... Your already scammed, its done right there and done. Now we were on phone and too busy to really see the documents and what the f he actually did to "make it work in 9 hours", and so like the donkey he is, he walks out smiling, says see you, hope it works..?? Like we paid you for it TO work, what are you hoping for??? So we wait, and you guessed it. Doesn't work! I eventually myself search up this company and see its a scam, company already being investigated by CBC and CTV news themselfs, and so is the Ontario Police already on it. We were just unlucky to land earlier before their company is being shut. We call for a refund, they say no of course, instead they say we can send somebody with new parts but itll cost extra....??? We threat to sue them, which the scared they are, They Hang up. And we have indeed sued this company, and you should to. I dont see many people knowing how to actually sue, so If you've paid debit, The moneys gone, you cant really save that, And again another red flag, They only accept CASH and DEBIT, Not credit, since it doesn't go to them directly. But cash, If you've paid with Cash, You can head over to the Ontario Consumer Protection and file a report, the more people we get reporting, the faster their company will shutdown. Don't experience what I did, It was the worst brainwash ever.

I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

I contacted them to repair my refrigerator. The technician diagnosed the problem, and I paid for the diagnosis. Unfortunately, I had doubts about the diagnosis, so I called another technician who was not part of this organization. He not only diagnosed but repaired the issue with parts and labor for roughly around $200, while this company issued an estimate for parts alone worth $687.26, plus labor and taxes on top. I ended up spending a significant amount of money, $316.40, for diagnosing without resolving the problem.

I was disappointed by the misdiagnosis and the overall value of the service. I expected an accurate diagnosis before any expensive repairs were recommended. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

Same as the other review $80 to show quote was $280 Labour and then said the pump was $465 on a Clothes washer. I showed him on line that it was $64.90 on the LG site and told him I would not pay that . I paid the $280 labour and he left his pump in my washer leaking . I called the office and told them that it is criminal to charge 10 times the amount that the OEM charges for the parts. Very unethical!!

We called this company to replace my refrigerator door gasket. They informed me there would be an $80 service/diagnostic fee. Before booking, We specifically asked for an estimate of the gasket replacement cost and was told the technician carried generic parts and that it "shouldn't cost much."

When the technician arrived, I was shocked by the quote: $210 for labour plus $287 for a single-door gasket (including shipping), bringing the total to nearly $500.

Paying almost $500 just to replace a door gasket on a refrigerator that cost around $700 makes no sense. We felt the pricing was completely unreasonable, and We wish they had been transparent about the potential cost before sending a technician.

Based on my experience, We would not recommend this company. Be sure to get a written estimate before booking any service.
