Letting of House
Eleanor Scott at Beresfords provided phenomenal service throughout the letting of my flat. Her efficiency, professionalism and attention to detail made the whole process feel straightforward and exceptionally well managed.

Tried numerous time to book a viewing with this company. Beresford. But they insist that I cannot unless I use their own mortgage advisor / broker. They constantly want to upscale me with their services. Rather than focus on what I am asking for. So hit a brick wall . Cannot view the house to make an offer on it. Time wasters.

Extremely disappointing and frustrating…
Extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with this agency.
We ultimately had to withdraw from the purchase after months of delays, unresolved enquiries and a lack of transparency and communication.
We were repeatedly pressured to complete the next steps on our side, despite still waiting for essential information and responses from the seller and their solicitors. It felt as though we were expected to keep progressing while the other side’s outstanding matters were left unresolved.
We were committed buyers and completed everything required from our side, but the poor communication and lack of urgency completely undermined our confidence in the process.
A very disappointing experience, which resulted in us walking away from the purchase.

It is naturally disappointing to see the one-star review and comments you recently posted regarding your potential purchase.
I have carried out a detailed appraisal of your file, notes of which are added in real time and therefore cannot be amended thereafter and spoken to the relevant team to gain a better understanding of your experience.
I am advised you spoke to the local office at length yesterday and indicated the lack of communication throughout this transaction was directed towards the seller’s conveyancer. I do appreciate your frustration as at times, it can be extremely difficult trying to contact conveyancers for updates. We do not have this problem when a client is using one of our recommended conveyancers with whom we have a close working relationship with.
With regards to your point relating to next steps, once the legal work has been completed, we will always ensure our clients are ready to proceed and therefore conversations will take place concerning exchange dates and deposit.
I am sorry to hear the office could not keep the sale moving forward, despite their best efforts. I can only imagine how disappointed you must feel and hope that we can find another suitable property for you to purchase.

We had such a positive experience with Jasmine, our check-out officer. She was absolutely lovely from start to finish, professional, approachable and incredibly helpful.
She genuinely cared about doing a good job. She took the time to listen to our concerns, carefully went through everything with us and made us feel completely reassured that nothing was being overlooked. Her communication was excellent and she was so friendly and easy to deal with throughout (even when I wasn’t).
After having a few concerns around the check-out process, Jasmine was a breath of fresh air. She handled everything calmly and professionally and really went above and beyond to help us.
She is a real credit to the company and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better person to deal with our check-out. Thank you so much, Jasmine — we really appreciated all your help.

I requested a viewing of a ground floor…
I requested a viewing of a ground floor flat in Billericay which I told the “manager” would be perfect for me. However, the female “manager” was extremely rude to me and wouldn’t let me view - even though I told her I would have sold my property through them - and it’s very modern and lovely Their loss!! Nasty woman! Not sure of the date. It still hasn’t sold!

Having read your recent review Denise, it is extremely disappointing to note the comments made within.
Following a detailed appraisal of your file, and your subsequent contact via phone with both myself, and the local office, file notes outline a different view to your own in terms of how events have unfolded throughout your interaction with our Company. Our internal notes, which include conversations from phone calls and any emails sent and received, are added to the file in ‘real time’ and cannot be amended thereafter.
Concerning the viewing you have requested on numerous occasions, we have made our position perfectly clear. We have a duty of care with regards to our clients and our employees and should we have concerns, will not place them in a vulnerable position. With this in mind, we will not be accompanying your viewing and have made our seller aware as to the reasons why.
It is also worth noting that you told me several times you had numerous properties and did not need to sell a property to buy onwards. This is contradictory to the comments you have made.
To suggest the approach of our Branch Manager was rude is somewhat harsh, given how you choose to conduct yourself. I have been on the receiving end of your abusive language and have made it very clear we will not tolerate such behaviour.
I trust this clarifies our position with regards to your request.
