Speed and Quality Excellent
From Booking the Job with Jim, to Steve & Barry installing (never stopped working from start to finish and done in a day) , to Electrician and plasterer Luke & John being fantastic. Customer service appalling. Building Regs delayed my house sale
Avoid this company. I thought using a nationwide company would mean I didn’t get poor customer service - boy was I wrong.
I was never offered building regulation sign off and didn’t not know this was required , I assumed as the ‘surveyor’ (I use this term loosely) had told me I didn’t need any planning permission everything was fine.
Fast forward to selling my house and I couldn’t without building regs sign off for the roof.
Upon contacting cosy roof they were dimissive and when questioned about the building regs they basically said ‘I never asked for them’.
I had to pay for a structural engineer and surveyor to visit my property at my own expense to get this sorted at a total cost of over £1k.
Cosy roof said they do not provide ‘site specific structural calculations’ - so basically they have no idea if your walls will take the load of the roof - they’re just hoping !
Read the small print as they don’t care once they’ve got your money!!!

Building Regs approval was not offered to me - and I quote directly from your email
"You have to inform the surveyor at point of sale if you wish for CosyRoof to obtain building regulations for you. "

"As planning permission was discussed at the point of sale and you did not inform CosyRoof to procced with any further approvals, we are unable to obtain these after installation. "
Planning permission is not the same as Building regulations. I was not informed or asked if I wanted Building Regulations Sign off.
As a customer, this is poor service.
I was advised by both the structural engineer and the surveyor that you should have carried out structural calculations on the walls at my property otherwise you could not be 100% sure that the existing structure could handle the load.
The review 100% reflects the service I have received, as do many of the other 1* reviews on here.
My last correspondence was at the end of July when Mark said he would contact their structural engineer and I never heard back. In the mean time I have sorted this at my own cost.

We are sorry to read that you feel this way about your experience. However, we feel it is important to clarify a number of points raised in this review.
Building Regulations approval is offered to our customers as part of our process, and this is explained during the sales and installation process. Planning permission and Building Regulations are separate matters. Planning permission is generally only required in circumstances such as properties within a conservation area or where other specific planning restrictions apply; this is separate from the requirement for Building Regulations approval.
In relation to your particular installation, we do not believe that we were dismissive of your concerns. Our communication with you was carried out by email, and the email correspondence clearly explained the position regarding Building Regulations, including how Building Control approval is obtained.
We also explained that Cosy Roof has system approval with Building Control. As a result, site-specific structural calculations are not required for every individual installation where the approved system is being used in accordance with its requirements. Site-specific calculations may be required where a customer chooses not to have Cosy Roof obtain Building Control approval, or where Building Control specifically requires additional information for an individual project.
We are therefore disappointed by the suggestion that we simply have "no idea" whether a conservatory can support the roof. Our system has been developed specifically for conservatory roof replacement and is subject to the relevant Building Control process.
We appreciate that the requirement for Building Regulations approval may not have been fully understood in your individual circumstances, and we are sorry for any frustration this has caused. However, we do not feel that the review accurately reflects the information provided to you or the correspondence we had with you.

Stephen and Liam had the roof on in one day clean tidy hard grafters everything was meticulously done no mess left behind done in one day
Frank the plasterer done the ceiling on day two only took 3hours I would highly recommend and not mad expensive prices

You could not get a better team of hard…
You could not get a better team of hard workers than what I had doing my conservatory. The two lads never stopped and work they did was first class. Their names were Steven and John and were very polite and respectful. Tidied up after themselves and really really pleased with the result.
Then a different John came the next day to plaster the ceiling and he was exactly the same never stopped and the result was excellent and again tidied up before he left.
WELL DONE THIS THREE.

Expensive waste of time
The only reason they get a 2 star is because it is speedy to put up and the roofers that came where lovely. The nice side ends their. It doesn't have temperature control, still freezing in winter and hot in summer. The plaster was rude and yelled at me down the phone even though he was at the wrong house and blamed me. He left a lot of mess and all my wallpaper had splat marks on. Nearly 2 years (Nov 2026), and the plaster has cracked, the tiles flap in the wind and all the promises are lies. Called and emailed customer services several times and they stated would send someone round to look, wasn't interested in my complaint. Waited 6 months and still waiting for contact and issues to be fixed. Really expensive, disgusting service. Wish I saved my money!

Excellent company, great product and fantastic service
I had Cosyroof come and replace my old polycarbonate roof on my conservatory. From my initial enquiry all the way through to my completed new roof, Cosyroof were superb. Tom Cahill came to assess my roof the next day from my enquiry. The work was planned and costed quickly and was much more cost effective than other local companies I had contacted for quotes. Connell and Daniel completed my roof in one day from 8am in the morning until 7pm at night. They didn't stop! These two boys were so professional, polite, hard working and did a fabulous job. Their electrician was on site to connect up all my internal conservatory ceiling lights and their plasterer was on site the next day to complete the job on my ceiling. I love my new roof and the interior. Thanks so much to CosyRoof! I strongly recommend them.

Absolutely top notch service
Absolutely top notch service from making my first enquiry through to installation we cannot fault the whole team. We were given loads of information, supported throughout the process & with 3 weeks we got our roof. We can now use our conservatory all day for the first time in years. We have already shared their details with two others as we are so pleased

Rude when enquiring
When explaining about being quoted high costs from other companies and enquiring at several places, I was asked do you have £7500 bluntly. Then I said yes reluctantly and said It's fine with someone coming out to see the conservatory roof and quote it, he said no you have to be certain we are very busy. It's rude, people are paying these companies their hard earned money. Just be kinder when you speak to people on the phone, especially if you want their business.

Aftercare is terrible
Aftercare is terrible. Still waiting 11 months later for Building control paperwork that was arranged through Cosyroof. They take your money but don’t want to help you after the work is complete. Emails go unanswered, phone calls are promised which don’t happen. Fed up with being fobbed off. Very very disappointing, I would have recommended them but this lets them down.

Roof looks great
Roof looks great. A very good and professional service from everyone involved. The installers were amazing. So hard working . They arrived on one of the hottest days of the year but worked continuously throughout the day. They were polite and tidy as were the plasterers and electrician. Would definitely recommend.

The 3 j’s were excellent , in and out within 48 hours , transformed our conservatory into a beautiful space , it was like a sauna before , I can’t recommend them enough

A fix for a problem, a new room for life
This is our first trust pilot review, but the job was so well done, we wanted to do it for the cosy roof team (even if it is the only one we do)!
Our conservatory roof was in a bad way, it leaked continuously when it rained and on the flip side, soaked in the sun all day during the summer, so the room was unusable for most part of the year.
We heard about cosy roof by word of mouth and subsequently via online advertising. We got in touch and Russell came out to measure up and give us a quote. Not only was this part of the purchase very flexible with times and dates, Russell explained the process clearly and allowed us to ask any questions on the day or after the appointment. We really appreciated the time he knew we would need to consider whether to go ahead and not make us feel pushed into locking the dates in asap.
Once all was confirmed and the work was scheduled, from day one Kevin, Daire and Keiran could not have worked harder. They managed to complete the roof in three days, working non stop, from when they arrived, to when they finished. They explained what they would be doing when they first started the work and they were very respectful of the property and garden when carrying out their tasks. Not only that, their cheerful manner and bubbly personalities showed how well they worked as a team and what was nice to hear was the longevity they had been working with each other and the company.
The electrician Luke and plasterer Harry, also came at the times that the guys said they would, and again both clearly explained the work they would be carrying out before doing so.
The whole team from start to finish, were extremely professional, polite and worked in sync with each others timing (which was amazing). As we have been lucky enough this year to get extreme rainfall and extreme heat, the new roof has been thoroughly tested, which is why the review is a few months later then completion (so we could give the new roof time to be tested). We can happily say that the new roof has changed the whole use of the room for the better. Since the work has been done, we can now use the room on a daily basis! Thanks to all at cosy roof, your work has really made a difference to our home.
