SCAM!!

This website is a total scam and practices fraud at the highest level.

I asked them about a gown that i was interested in if it’s available for a wedding in 2 weeks. The gown online is a pre-order gown so i ask them if they have an available size and they tell me, they do in my size. Thinking i was lucky they had my size already available i immediately order. Fast forward to 4 months and nothing. I waited for the actual pre-order time posted online but they fool you with an email that says order is processing but it’s a complete scam. My hunch said to contact the designer directly and ask for an update or clarification, since they don't reply to your email or give you a clear response via WhatsApp. So i contacted the designer directly and I find out no order was placed on the dress and that the website owes them money!! I demanded a refund given the evidence but they deny what the designer said. They then send me a photoshopped and unclear chat that says that my order is actually processing, while i already have actual evidence from the designer. After a lot of back and forth with them I obviously got nothing out of them. I immediately file a dispute with the bank, and thankfully the evidence in my whatsapp chat helped my case. They keep telling me that they are contacting accounting and to wait only to pass time so that I can’t place a dispute. When they found out that I placed a dispute with the bank they ask me to withdraw it and send them evidence of the withdrawal so that they could refund me. What a joke!! The only people that were able to get my money back from those scammers were the bank. So please save yourself the time, money, and effort. It was a total nightmare dealing with them. I got back my money after 7 months of constant back and forth but it was a total nightmare. Stay away at all cost.

Horrible experience they don't answer phones or return after leaving a message ordered a dress a year ago and they keep promising that I will get it tell finally they said they are not able to get the dress they won't refund the money my only option is to have a store credit

So once again Distriict5 came through for my wife and sent us her beautiful dress for a event we had to attend this is the fourth dress we have ordered and received on time and we will continue to order from them

I bought a dress many years ago from a 3rd party vendor. There was no information that the dress was not returnable. The dress did not fit and I was given a store credit. (Not that helpful given I do not need formal wear that often). I was assured the credit was good forever. I just went to use it and was told that their policy has changed and the credit is only good for one year. Basically, they created their own rules and have stolen $500 from me. Look on line carefully, there are stories all over the internet about this. Apparently I got off easy, I see people who have lost $1000's of dollars. Just but the dress someway else. That don't have anything that isn't available else wear.

I ordered a dress and it looked nothing like the picture on the website. they would not return because it was on sale and would not even give store credit. Buyer Beware!!!! It did not say anywhere that it was final sale. the dress looks like something a 16 year old would wear to prom so tacky. I sent pictures and they ignored me. I wasted $4,000, this is for my daughters wedding and i am heart broken.

I bough a 7500 USD Dress and NEVER GOT IT!! They have a 90 days “delivery window time “ and of course it’s all about banks policy after 90 days they can’t do anything about this
I have hundreds of emails phone calls, watsapp, and SHE JUST SAY ,you contacted your bank so there is nothing we can do

DISTRICT 5 BOUTIQUE FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY IN JUNE 2024 AND THEY ARE A SCAM. I ordered a wedding dress over $10K over 5 months ago and they will not refund me. I filed a dispute and am lawyering up. Because they filed for bankrupcty, this means they are trying to get as much cash flow as possible from customers to salvage the company. YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR ORDER. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. The owner also started a new company, Auraelis Couture. Just flagging to everyone!

Absolutely disgusted with District 5 Boutique! My sister bought a dress from them, and they later said it wasn’t available. Fine, stuff happens. But then they promised store credit but suddenly closed her account. Now they won’t give her the credit or even reply to her emails! This is beyond shady and super unprofessional. Avoid this place at all costs. THIS BUSINESS IS ONLY SCAMMING PEOPLE! We have contacted the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, hopefully they will stop these people from scamming anybody else!

Editing to add reply to their "reply" below: The only reason you put this reply below is to give the impression to viewers that "you are doing something about it". Do you know how many times we contacted your customer service number and how many emails we sent you? You did not help us then, you took our money and cancelled our order without any intention of giving us the product or our money back. You have our number and email address, if you really want to resolve this, you call us or email us and resolve it. This is a shady business you are running, I hope people see my review and not lose their money with you.

I purchased a gown that ended up not fitting me properly. The gown cost over $4200. I returned it and was told that, because it was a pre-order, I would not receive a refund, but would receive store credit instead. While annoying, I was fine with that. I was not, however, fine with anything that happened with District 5 from that point on.

To utilize my store credit from the returned gown, I ordered a different gown in September of 2023. Per Disteict 5, the gown was to be delivered in March of 2024. The gown never arrived.

In April, I emailed District 5 several times to inquire about the status of the order and no one ever responded. I finally connected with someone there through a what’sapp message and they apologized and confirmed that there was a delay with my order. They offered to allow me to replace the delayed gown with another gown that they had in stock, which they promised to send out right away, or they said I could wait for the delayed gown. They have a very limited stock of items, so I opted to wait for the gown I ordered.

A few days went by and then they messaged me to say that they are no longer able to fulfill any orders from the designer of the gown I ordered. This was now SEVEN MONTHS after I first placed the order and days after they told me its delivery was forthcoming. Their website and email advertisements also continue to promote pieces from that same designer. This was incredibly frustrating, but I moved on and decided to spend my store credit on another gown.

I placed another order in June, again to try to utilize the store credit from the initial returned gown. To my shock, I received a message several days later saying that my credit had expired and could not be used for any items other than a very limited number of items they have in stock. After SEVEN MONTHS of silence from District 5; after promise after promise that my order was just delayed; they have decided just to keep the over $4,200 I originally paid for the returned dress unless I take one of the small number of items they have on the hanger. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Do not under any circumstance purchase from this deceitful company.

Please avoid ordering from this website at all costs. They entice you to order through their site with big discounts and coupon codes, but never have any plans to fulfill the order or put the dresses into production. After months of waiting for my wedding dress to arrive, and countless back and forth emails with them stalling saying they were waiting on information from their processing team, we learned the order was never placed with the designer and no dress was ever put into production. We are now scrambling trying to get a replacement option in time for the wedding on top of trying to get a refund from this scam website. If their listed prices seem too good to be true, it's because they are! Learn from my mistake and order directly through a designer, it's always the safer option.

Please NEVER order from this website. They are fraud, whatever dress I've ordered from them in the past. Never came on time and never came at all. They will not return your money. They offeR store credit, which they also limit you from buying any other luxury brand dresses only what's in stock, Which is all garbage and not worth the price. The prices are overrated. You can get all the dresses they have on website anywhere else for less! The customer service sucks.
I had $5000 install credit. And I was limited from buying any other luxury brand only what was in stock.
That was not worth the money. They had nothing in my size and they said that they did me a favor by giving me store credit In other words, they would've kept my money!!!.

Perfect Glamorous Dress! This is the second time Ive been back to shop at this store and I could not be happier with my purchases. Helpful customer service answered all my questions and guided me towards picking the right size dress which ended up fitting perfectly….Classy and stylish - Love it!

I found the most amazing dress at my appointment. the staff was very helpful as they did not have my size, and was able to quickly get me one from the designer. I am so happy and will definitely shop again for my next event!

This company is a scam. You buy a dress online then find out it’s unavailable then they say they will refund u and they don’t. Don’t buy from them!

The worst experience of my life. After a month and a half, the order was pending and the charge to my card was made since the beginning. I tried to cancel and they threat with their legal team.

I recently attempted to use my store credit, which was still showing up in my account but they claim it had expired. I was trying to purchase another expensive gown from their website, and they refused to honor my store credit. They stole my money and continuously refused to give it back after several emails back and fourth. Fraud company!!! NEVER order from them.

Do NOT buy from them. Their wait times are a lie and they just take your money and never send your dress. I have proof of the 7 months of begging for my dress. Do not buy from them !!

NEVER, NEVER, purchase a dress from DISTRICT 5 boutiques. This web is a FRAUDE. I ordered a dress it was huge for me I returned the dress and I was given store credit.I used my store credit and ordered a pre-order dress, After they canceled the order I was not reimbursed. Meanwhile, I had a balance of store credit, I used my balance and I paid an extra 1300$, The dress was returned, and they gave me a store credit and then closed the account. They have scammed me with 4500$, and this case is still open If my credit card company does not solve this I will call authorities and consumers protection

This is the worst company to work with. Ordered a dress 6 months ago and they charged me but never delivered. This is a scam and absolutely horrible to work with. Will be filing claim against them. Not only is this wrong it is embezzlement and fraud. Not ok.

I ordered last week and received it in just a few days! The gown was superb and I really love it. I also got an amazing discount and will definitely order again from this wonderful boutique! Highly recommended!
