I had my Samsung washing machine broke…
I had my Samsung fridge broke down. It wasn’t cooling well enough. I had appointment booked through the domestic and general. Came on a time let me know a few minutes before he arrived, fridge been checked around and it’s been ordered parts what came next week and they’ve been fixed today , engineer been friendly and understanding of the situation and I would recommend 100% , name of the engineer is Aaron

The appointment was arranged on the domestic and general appliance insurance app, Dolphin appliance care were promptly in contact to back up the appointment Aaron the engineer made contact with us with an exact time of arrival he identified the faulty part and returned with a new part a few days later with continuous updates . Dolphin you have a first class engineer Aaron was professional and very polite I would more than highly recommend.

absolutely terrible experience engineer came in didn’t even look at the appliance said don’t worry you will get new washing machine from your insurance now Insurance in fact did not give me a new washing machine. I was already without a washing machine for quite a few weeks. I have newborn twins so I just couldn’t wait any longer and I couldn’t. I couldn’t I couldn’t be going back-and-forth with this so I had to buy a brand new washing machine just absolute shocking I am so so so disappointed.

Having reviewed our records, we'd like to clarify that our engineer did inspect and diagnose the appliance during the initial visit, with replacement parts ordered to complete the repair. Unfortunately, a follow-up appointment then had to be rearranged due to unexpected engineer illness, and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this caused.
We also understand your disappointment regarding the outcome of your insurance claim. While our engineers diagnose faults and carry out repairs, decisions regarding appliance replacement are made by the insurance provider rather than by Dolphin.
We're sorry that your experience fell short of the standard we aim to provide.

When I booked engineer
When I booked engineer, I said PLEASE DON’T SAY YOU CAN FIX FRIDGES IF YOU CANT, and paid £150, guy turned up and said we cant fix fridges, but you get £40 back, as if i was lucky
After reading your reply 🤦♂️
So for £150 you get a engineer, who isn’t trained to fully investigate the problem with a fridge, you need to pay more if you actually want a engineer to solve a problem, it’s extra cost.
Really does this sound great idea to the customer 🤷🏼♂️😞

We'd like to clarify that we do repair fridge freezers. Following our engineer's assessment, your appliance was found to have what appeared to be a possible sealed system fault. This type of fault requires a specialist systems engineer to carry out further investigation and, where appropriate, a regas. As these repairs involve additional cost and cannot guarantee a successful outcome, the available options were discussed with you, and you chose not to proceed.
We're sorry if this was not communicated as clearly as it could have been, as we always aim to ensure our customers fully understand the repair options available to them before making a decision.

Technician came out, great guy, diagnosed the problem and said he had ordered parts to fix it.
Many weeks later, nothing.
Phoned Dolphin and got told the parts would come directly from Beko, got transferred.
Beko said nothing to do with us and gave me the number for Hotpoint. Got pushed around four departments there, all very nice people but unable to help. The last person I spoke to transferred me to the parts department where I was given a recorded message and cut off.
Enjoy the weekend, I’ll have another go Monday.
