Brilliant service so far car won't start but got Me booked in for the morning

Only putting one star because I have to! If I could choose no stars, I would.

Charged me £124.95 to book an appointment - only for the appointment to not appear on their system. No appointment and no refund.

I have repeatedly tried to contact them, only to be told a manager will call me back - nothing.

Raised it with trading standards - so watch this space.

Avoid.

Ripped me off for £174 I paid the money and then cancelled but did not receive a refund after making numerous phone calls,certainly wouldn't recommend this company.

Absolute fraud and a rip off!!! £250 up front, sent out a tyre fitter who had no clue whatsoever to do with satellite systems, had me digging out manuals then told me I just needed a hdmi cable and a sat receiver box after 30 mins of scratching his a*^e. Later got a call to say the tyre fitter said I needed a full rewire!!! Rang and complained, demanded my money back but had the phone put down on me. Rang back and told them I wanted to speak to the MD, but he wasn't available. I was expecting this call from 'Ben' the MD over 3 weeks ago but no response..... therefore I will bring them down, I will get my money back and I WILL make sure they never trade and rip off anyone else ever again!!!

If I could give this company a negative in starts I would. Long story condensed here they took my vehicle to do a full restoration in June 2021 as of writing this (September 2022) they still have with no sign the work will be completed. I have tried applying pressure and call for update regularly they are inconsistent with their lies about where they are up to. They insisted on taking payment upfront and I believe due to this they have not prioritised the work and don’t feel they need to work on it. If you can get them to answer the phone you will either be left on hold, lied to and told they will call back which to point it out they never do or they simply hang up if you get through to someone who claims to be in charge they will lie some more and it will accomplish nothing. They are now unwilling to respond to emails or return my vehicle or offer any kind of refund and I will now have to take legal action against them as it would appear they took money under false pretences and are unwilling or unable to complete or possibly start work as they refuse to give and evidence that they have started work. I can’t go in as they are based too far from me for it to be convenient to go. They are conmen and fraudsters who will lie to you and cheat you out of your money do not use this company for anything!

We asked Fastlane to locate and assess the damage caused by a leak in our static caravan, and then to give us a price to get the repair work done. They charged us £250 up front which would then be deducted from the final cost of doing the work, should we wish to go ahead and have it done.
The guy turned up late in afternoon, he used a damp meter to tell where the wettest areas were, and locate the entry of the water, which we already knew. However, he had no intention of doing even the most basic of remedial repair to block the hole, as he didnt even have a tube of silicone on his van. What he did do was tell us to go to the nearest B & Q to get some and he told us where to apply it. He said there would be no need to do any further repairs as once the areas had dried out they would harden and be fine.
We did ask for a quote to get the work done all the same as we didnt feel that the area would be sound just being left like it was. And we were right.
Further investigation on our part revealed that the timbers underneath and side of the affected window were completely rotten, and were barely able to hold the window in place. We are still waiting for a price to do the work, but I wouldnt trust them to mend a leak in a bucket. Ripped off bigstyle!!!!
One star for turning up!!

We contacted Josh at Fastlane to enquire about a very short notice pre purchase inspection of a car four hours from where we live, having been let down by another company. To say he was helpful is simply an understatement. He was kind, understanding, professional, knowledgeable and couldn't do enough to help.
Josh explained to Mike the inspector what the situation was and he was at the garage waiting for them to open the next morning. By 10am we had a very thorough report on the car along with pictures.
I can recommend Fastlane highly enough and a huge thank you to Josh and Mike for your help and expertise which was above and beyond what we could have hoped for. :)

Impressive service with a full inspection firstly carried out and then a number of repairs at their workshop including welding and roof repair on my caravan. I was provided with a full report of the faults and also shown these in person with a walk around. They weren’t pushy at all about the repairs being undertaken and when I rang to go ahead with the repairs and arrange collection, it was explained there was a 10 day wait before the work could commence. I was also refunded my initial inspection charge off the repair bill which I wasn’t aware was part of the deal but a nice surprise. Impressed with the overall finish, the attention to detail and the price charge. Overall very good customer care and superb repairs.

Paid £175 for diagnostics which took 10 minutes (thats london prices) they turned up 2 days late.
Fault was found, they then wanted a further £475 to put in a tiny part which cost me £22 and my mate put in in 5 minutes.

Obvious con artists who are duping the paying public with extortionate pricing.

If you want fast response and fair pricing then avoid fastlane autocare!!!

Please avoid this “Mobile Fastlane Mechanics” and use your local mechanics instead. They are scammers, convince you to pay exhorbitant amount for mobile service even though they know they cannot do it and then tell you that at least they visited!! Another way of extorting money from people.

They do not belong to any government established regulatory bodies like Motor Ombudsman, so if they default, there is no one you can report to except you go to court, so beware!!!

They took £174 off me for mobile service and did exactly what the other mechanics did with no solution while the other mechanics did not take any money from me but told me to bring it back for 2 days so they can do a thorough diagnosis. They promised their mobile engineers will do the job in one hour but obviously they know it is not possible and just wanted to take money off me!

Avoid them like plague!!

today me and my family had the worst customer service experience ever. being totally honest and fair in this review my partner did become hostile and frustrated with the agent who I now know to be Chris,
however instead of the agent taking control of the call and defusing the situation and showing professional customer service he failed on numerous occasions calling my partner a tool and d**khead, this only added to my partners agitated state and further more angered my partner which resulted in him threatening the agent. to go to the show room and have it out with him. the agent then felt it was appropriate to egg on my already angered / frustrated partner by saying come on then and read the address out i'm waiting for you. do you think i'm worried about my job over the likes of you. We were only calling the company of behalf of our vulnerable family members. who had recently came back from their holiday after enduring what they suspected as being regulator issues.
my Aunt rang and spoke to an agent arranging an appointment for someone to come out and assess and fix were necessary the issue. were she was asked for full payment up front and was lead to believe that the £250 she paid was the call out fee and for any replacement parts. On today's arrival of the engineer all he did was open the front storage compartment popped his head init went inside the caravan. and advised us what the problem was and reconfirmed that the parts and labour are included in the £250 that was already paid.
my partner felt suspicious of this and went out to speak with today's engineer on doing so the engineer confirmed this this wasn't correct and advised me to speak to the office, So that's when my partner rang and spoke to the rude agent, he was put on hold when asked for a copy of the previous call which is supposedly recorded for training and motioning purposes. while being on hold the call was then disconnected and we weren't called back. We have since rung a second company for a second opinion who very kindly talked us through what to look for, we then discovered we had a duo regulator and was advised to swap the gas pipe over on to the other value, to which we did within a couple of seconds which resolved the issue. we were not told this at all from the engineer who was paid £250 for diagnostic today! when ringing the company back once again we were told that they had no managers, supervisors or team leaders to chat with until Monday and the attitude of Chris was still appalling!!

i'm not dully bound to disclose who the second company was, but what I am prepared to disclose is I didn't even have to mention who this company was as they have had and still are having numerous complaints regarding this appalling firm

for what it is worth I will be ringing the general manger on Monday but to be honest I ain't holding my breath in making any head way with him either as in my opinion what manager would leave such incompetent staff in charge of any company and its reputation!

This company stole £250 0ff me. DO NOT PAY UP FRONT. they are scamsters.

I only wish i had read these reviews and others that i have found on various site, i was like many others another victim of this company's pay up front policy. i paid for a service upfront and could not believe what i got for my money a simple inspection carried out at home expensive and missed out some simple safety checks. dont use this company.

This company is the worse company I have ever dealt with in my 50 years owning cars , I imported a classic car from the us after about a year of ownership the car developed a fault I trusted fastlane that was the worst mistake I have ever made they ripped me off for a lot of money did not do the job s they should have done when I got it back after 3 months it broke down after 20 mins of driving it towards home , fastlane said they would come to fix it alarm bells started ringing so I just got a recovery truck to take it back I was that disillusioned by fast lane I sold the car the company that bought it had to do a lot of work to right all the problems left by fastlane autocare DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR MONEY AND NEVER PAY UPFRONT YOU DONT NEED TO AS THEY HAVE YOUR CAR

Do not use this company. Did not turn up at my address to do the work so I cancelled the job as I’m working away. I am still trying to get a refund for work on my bike that they did not turn up to do. They state as they have ordered the service kit I will not get full payment back as it’s impossible to send the parts back. I can’t even get a partial payment back for a week as the manager is off who is the only person authorised to give payments back. Customer service is terrible, basically an argument over the phone, they want you just to give up and not chase your own money. Read all the reviews off every site, I’m lucky they they did not get their hands on my bike. Avoid!

Never ever use fastlane autocare in st helens for any car services..they take half the money up front and my son was desperate to get his car picked up, fixed and returned to him as it broke down between work and home and it had very low suspension and it was air ride problems..they asked for 50% up front which he eagerly paid..but after paying he cancelled 2 days later before they had done any work for us after seeing crappy reviews.. weve had to try ringing hardly ever get to speak to anyone, been on live chat most days and tried emailing, going on their website..you name it to get our money back..fobbed off and ignored and eventually called to get ALL bank details including last 3 numbers on the back of card (to go shopping with clearly.. coz u DONT need that to refund!!!!!!)..still no refund..again fobbed off after being told they had refunded..lies,lies,LIES..eventually got our refund through raising a chargeback through bank..people PLEASE never ever go near this business..Theyve fleeced loads of people and done poor work for others..youve been warned..please read reviews and do research before booking if you can..we didn't.. lesson learned!!!never ever use them!!!😡😡😡

Scammers robbers an thieves. They Sent a mechanic to me and he told me he could not fix it at my address and that he "did not not want to use up my £200 UPFRONT charge at the house" and that it needed to be seen to at the garage. He Took my car then billed me on the same day for £700 then again !! for £400 a total of £1400. Then brought the car back with a flat battery ,no repairs done and said he would need another £1300 to repair the car !!!! . Then dumped it on the road with a flat battery (after taking it from my drive) and being automatic there was no way to move it .This also caused great inconvenience to the road.
The issue is/was electrical and since this I have contacted Jaguar main dealers for advice/information .They have said these costings and charges are unheard of and it is vey apparent this is a scam. The out of hours number cuts off after one ring , the online chat is not online and no information can be given as to who exactly came to take my car.

Thefastlaneautocare do not care who about the manner in which you are treated, they are nothing more than a referral and they open you up to this appalling scam treatment .The negative reviews here are all consistent and obviously true. They will be forced to divulge the company's name that ripped me and my bank account off and the police will be involved.
